    For my camper r/v build this is another option worth considering. I do not want any more heavy AGM batteries and roof mount solar panels. Considering the cost and installation plus all the wiring, these power boxes and fold out panels have got me interested for ease of use, and in the winter can be used indoors for an emergency.

    I have been living in my car for 5 months. Staying with family during extremely cold 🥶 nights. I will move into my own build in March and I am looking for something with a fair amount of input/ output with solar. I plan to use this for heater, heated blanket and fan. Nothing major. I just order mine from Amazon and save $599.00 woot woot! Thanks for this lovely $600 saving content. New subscriber 😊

    Just gotta say..... I really appreciate you and channels like yours who ACTUALLY USE the thing before posting a "review" of it. So many YT folks are much more concerned with their affiliate links than giving the viewer any useful info. Drone Valley dude is so bad for that. You can tell he has never used anything he "reviews". All power stations are at shipping SOC, all cables neatly wrapped from the factory as he does his fake review. So thank you for being real and actually using these products!

    I have a few solar generators from 300w to 1280w. This seems to be the best bang for your buck of any I've seen. Unfortunately I just can't justify purchasing it because I have several already, and they meant for emergencies in my particular case.

    I don't think that I like the position of the a/c outlets. The cords would hang down over the display and other types of outlets obscuring them. Seems like the solar panel is the best part of the overall system. I would probably pair the panel with a different powerstation/ generator. Perhaps one with a slightly more quiet fan. Enjoying your channel. I like your sense of humor. Definitely do it your way. Musical tastes aside. (I think it was fine) I hope that your cat survives all of the necessary unboxing for the many products you review. Anyways, thumbs up.

    This panel is almost half the price of ecoflows equivalent. And I hate the design of ecoflows foldable panels. they all bend inward because there is no support behind each panel and that one support makes it floppy. I have the 110 ecoflow solar panel and I won't be buying anymore of their folding panels until they change the flaws. This all powers panel is definitely my next panel purchase.

    I have watched this video many times and your recent one Dec 3 on the 800w array as I am trying to decide on a portable like this vs building a setup and keep in storage. What other battery packs can be hooked to the Allpowers S2000 and how would you charge them.

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Год назад +1

      The Allpowers S2000 doesn't really give you any expansion options for additional capacity. Would probably make more sense to have a couple units so you separate inverters that can be placed in different locations within the house.... They've got an R4000 unit coming to market soon, I think, that will be 3.6KWh and have expansion capability. That should be interesting and likely provide a more budget friendly option to the large Bluetti and EcoFlow home back-up systems.

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Год назад +1

      if you've got the room for it, don't mind the extra weight...and your power station can handle the output specs, I'd got for the 400W. It's extremely well made. That said, I'm expecting to get my hands on the Elecaenta 300W panel sometime in May and will be doing a video on it in June (for what it's worth).

      @@ReeWrayOutdoors thanks. I did buy the 300w due to the efficiency number of 24. Haven’t used it yet as my ac200max arrives tomorrow. The panel packaging was beat up and honestly it feels like someone opened it up as the cables were not tied up “clean” if you know what mean. Regardless I hope it works out well, the panel appears to be of good quality and it’s light. I might get the 400w allpowers if the 300w doesn’t work out.

      It has a max of 500W (18-70V @ 18A). So not more than 1 400W panel. To get closer to the max of 500W, a couple of these Dokio 220W panels would be a decent option (based on specs and ratings...I haven't personally tested these): amzn.to/3TmVagD

    One thing no one will answer is how does the solar charge controller know the difference between a solar panel output of 13 to 14.8 volts and an altinator putting out 13.4 to 14.8 will jehu and the professor all say that if you hook up an altinator putting out 13.4 to 14.8 800 to 880 watts it won't charge I ask them why and how dose it know but no answer now since most busses have a 100 amp altinator thats 1340 to 1480 watts

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Год назад +1

      I'll take a crack at it. The issue with connecting a car alternator to a solar charge controller is that a car alternator commonly puts out anywhere between 60 and 100 Amps. This might work on a charge controller that is capable of 100A+ , but NONE of these portable power stations have charge controllers designed to handle that kind of current. Most would fall into the range of 10-40A. And if you exceed that, assuming you've not damaged the charge controller by doing so, the 'best case scenario' is that the change controller's over-current protection kicks in to prevent damage and at that point you will get 0 Watts coming out of it until it is reset and an input within its spec'd range is detected.

  • @cretan911
    @cretan911 Год назад +1

    Hi ReeWray. Can you hook up a 400W and 200W panel in series for 600W? Or is it not possible due to the different voltages?

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Год назад +1

      You can, but if there's a big difference in the short circuit current specs, the output of the 400W panel will be diminished since the combined output will be t the lowest short circuit current spec. So let's say the 400W has an Isc of 11A while the 200W has Isc of 8A. When you put them in series, the 400W panel will be limited to 8A....reducing its max output to something like 360W.

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors

      @@cretan911 I haven't yet tested that on this panel, but I suspect that if there's any shading on one of the five panels, you'd mostly lose the output from that 1 panel. But I'll have to test it to be sure.
