Horn Mill Trout Farm Photographing Osprey

We made an early morning visit in May 2019 to this photographic hide near Rutland Water, hoping to see Osprey fishing, we were not disappointed. A challenging photographic environment of early morning light, high ISO, fast shutter shots, but the subjects did not disappoint.

Watched this as I am off there this year. You must be delighted with the last two shots you show here. What focal length were you on?

Sorry for the late reply, I used a 70-200 f2.8 with a 1.4 teleconverter, with the layout of the site you don’t need great length, a fast lens is more important, hope you enjoy your visit :)

@@nezbot1514 thanks! I did go in June and had a great evening. They were saying that they get fewer visits in recent times compared to 2019 and before, but still great to visit.
