My favorite thing about this MV was one of the top comments that read: “The only thing Taemin is doing is drip dropping everyone’s panties”. Still true.
I love Drip Drop - the choreo is sick and Taemin’s swag and energy is just like no other. Everyone who has ever worked with Taemin, especially his dancers say that he is a real monster when it comes to his art. He can be the nicest and most humble guy irl, but while working he has this switch to super focused, super serious and super professional mode. The amount of knowledge about his craft that he’s gained over the years, the experience, but also his incredible working ethics and out of this world talent has made him one of the most amazing and unique artists of this generation. I have nothing, but the utmost respect and admiration for this man! Please keep reacting to Taemin!!!
Do you happen to have any links to interviews or quotes from people or dancers he works with talking about that? I think it would really be interesting to read about what it's like working with such a hardworking, professional, phenomenal artist. Taemin fascinates me, but other than a quote or two here and there, it has been difficult for me to find those kinds of interviews. Maybe it would be easier if I read Korean!
Have you seen the dance practice to Drip Drop? He is so sharp and so smooth in it! I love it. The only version I've found is what looks like a leaked version with words all over the screen, but it is still one of my favorite dance practices from him.
dheu Those praises from his dancers come from short interviews which are on the DVD from the whole backstage of making of Famous MV. It’s a version of album with the DVD, so I don’t have any link. Some people posted them on Twitter, but I couldn’t possibly find it now... But there were also some interviews when Koharu Sugawara praised Taemin a lot - one was from shooting Move (bts) and the other I think from Hit The Stage.
Yes, I’ve seen the dance practice :) It leaked not so long ago and it was never officially posted, but it’s still dope :) I wonder if they had it recorded, cause Taemin always wanted for the Drip Drop to be the title track of the whole album...? So maybe they would release it then...

I'm so proud of Taemin. Some people critique that his MJ vibe would outshine him. But he 's not afraid and he never stops the MJ vibe. It's just part of him and he has his full individual personalities.
SuperM just dropped an insane dance performance (feat. TEN, TAEMIN and KAI). Usually I don't recommend stuff like that cause I like to see the MV reactions but this is great. I guess the hype is real! 1 week for their debut!

"Drip Drop" was filmed in California, near L.A., at Vasquez Rocks National Park. Because California is a union state the staff and backup dancers needed to be from California and they needed to use union members in order to get permits and to be given permission to film there, so that is one of the reasons why he decided to use non-Asian, Western backup dancers. The MV for "Press your Number" which is the title track of his "Press It" album was also filmed while they were in L.A. so the actors and dancers in that video are also L.A. actors/dancers (and might have been some of the same people used in the 'Drip Drop" MV.) For "Drip Drop they only made a performance version of the MV. However, for " Press Your Number" there is both a traditional story-based MV and a performance MV. If you haven't checked out "Press Your Number" yet, you should. "Press Your Number" was originally wrote and composed by Bruno Mars. When SM bought the song Taemin rewrote some of the lyrics and translated it into Korean and made it his own.

The location is Vasquez Rocks in California. It’s where they used to shoot a lot of the old Star Trek outdoor stuff. Usually fighting a green lizard alien or something 😂😂
It's funny how you mentioned that Taemin seems like a perfectionist (5:13) because when it comes to his performance, he wants to get it right. The behind the scenes of this MV actually showed how he pleaded to the director to do one more take despite the fact that the crew was losing light. That's not the first time he has been recorded asking to do one more take. Can't wait to see him in Super M.

Funny story: It had rained the night before, which is why their clothes got dirty. Normally that kind of thing would drive me nuts, but for some reason it's okay here?? The dancers really, really, really loved working with Taemin - they kept saying so on instagram, I believe (or was it twitter?!). And yes,Taemin is a perfectionist! Hope you're also keeping track with SuperM too...
