Great lessons in this movie. This is all about practicing discernment. Femi was never in love with his ex. There were many red flags in that relationship. 8 years together and no marriage, he asked her to abort twice, and never bought her anything. She was a place holder and a safety net. She refused to accept the red flags and stayed. I like the contrast of how they showed how a man acts with a woman who he is in love with vs. a woman who he is not in love with. It's teaching you what to look for from a man in a relationship. But, most importantly, it teaches both men and women about how to act with integrity and decency towards other human beings. Yes, she should have practiced better discernment, but he should have never been with her for 8 years knowing he was never in love with her. Also, when she came back around, he should have been honest with her and never used her for sex and chores knowing he moved on. He literally cheated on the fiance and the ex at the same time. Red flag. No remorse for what he did. Red flag. Even if he was in love with his current fiance, his character is poor and who knows how he would act in a relationship when times got hard in their marriage or he was tempted by another woman.

Finally a movie with sanity well and good we don't get to see a man get away with his nonsense.
Mine told me that a man of God told him that we're not compatible😅😂 men eh. To think i even believed and was hoping i ddnt have any spiritual problem😂. Not until i heard from a mutual friend that he never really wanted to marry me in the first place omo i broke down. I listened to the voice note he ddnt know that this friend of our would let me know. This happened when i was preparing for my final exams and passing my exams through out that period was just God's grace

I actually don't see any revenge anywhere. She was just struggling to understand why or how the 8 yrs relationship came to an abrupt end. She found her answer & understood more by interacting with the new girlfriend. She did not harm her or destroy her business. I see a woman who was simply struggling to come to terms with the loss of 8 yrs. Femi was the master of games & mixed signals.
That conversation they had on the sofa is what he should have had with her after the breakup. But instead he gives her his house keys & continues to string her along because he was enjoying the benefits taking advantage of the fact that she was still inlove with him. Some men are scum. All they do in life is use people to achieve their own goals. He never loved her. Never. Chioma saw that in him and dumped him immediately.
As a married man, I learnt a lot from this movie. Look for good movies with lessons, such as this and thank the producing team later. Thumbs up.

The truth remains that a man knows if he wants to marry a lady even within the first 3 weeks of meeting the lady. He only needs between 1 to 3months to do a proper check and confirmation. If he doesn't like or want you, it will be easy to detect early enough. Don't force yourself on anyone who is not interested in you.
Guys should also stop leading the ladies on. What do you derive in deceiving your fellow humans. If all you want is a "friends with benefits" make it clear enough to her. Be wise! Be honest

This is exactly my story, this guy treatment me badly I had to call off the relationship because of the love I had for him I called him month later for we to makeup this guy told me he's seeing someone else that we can't make up.... Just a month of break-up but thank God am doing fine, I pray a better man comes my way soon. I don't know how it feels to date a guy that long, bcoz I have always being a celibate to avoid getting hurt in the name of being in a relationship... But how can someone be this wicked. Dating a woman or a man for 8 solid years, almost a decade just to delete him/her for someone else? How is this even possible? I can't fathom this long time dating thing, it becomes a pattern, bcoz in 8 years will be going through same issues repeatedly until it becomes a norm, boring and tasteless... To an extent that you will find it even more difficult to move on. That's why people do commit suicide so easily after the break up, bcoz they are attached to you, emotionally, mentally, physically, Psychologically and spiritually...
In the case in this movie there could be 2 main reasons
1 either he never loved he but stayed cos he was benefitting from her financially since in the early days when he was broke and it had become a couple of years and breaking up had become difficult to break up
2 or he knew that this lady had helped him so much and knew him, i mean what we call see finish and therefore would not get the admiration , worship and respect he would have wanted with his wife. This is a very common reason for long year relationship break ups with the men

This happened to me and mine was 9 years. If i am being truthful, the signs were there but i ignored them and the most important conversation was never had. We always see the handwriting on the wall but ignore it just because we don't want to start all over again. When truth is not in relationships damage happens. And we should not always blame the spouse cos it is not easy for them to break up with you after about 3 to 4 years of relationship. My advice is to take stock regularly and truthfully

Very interesting movie with life lessons..cold attitude of Femi, he thought the world revolved around him. Jessica was so real and had a nice friend in Brenda. Chioma was so reasonable.
