Sitting in the back of a car, driving through the gorgeous mountains of Tennessee, completely sick from having not eaten breakfast along with a fever I had prior. (Both my fault entirely. Apparently eating a few berries was NOT enough. Lol.) Desperately needing food, but there was absolutely no stores in sight, no internet or phone signal, just beautiful mountains. Parents found a vending machine with a meal bar, but apparently that had expired two years ago. Didn't eat it. I sat in the back of the car, kinda in a daze, staring blankly at the mountains, listening to one of the few songs downloaded onto my phone, (This song since I had transferred a few OST files from the game to my phone.). The music went so well to the vaguely empty state I was feeling at the time. I listened to it on repeat for a while until we had internet again and saw stores start popping up. Good memories!

Hylics 2 has music that is technically "better" in terms of complexity and song writing, but I always found that Mason's solo music suited his creation much better. The Hylics 2 OST still slaps and has a few tracks that still fit this bill.

I actually asked chuck during a stream as to why the hylics 1 OST isn't officially on spotify/bandcamp. Apparently, It's due to the way the tracks are compressed outside of the game when uploaded to other streaming platforms, and Mason Lindroth being unsatisfied with the audio quality.
