It's not simplistic, is a well done old-fashioned song... since most groups now release only bass based noises and glass scratches, that's why it sounds so simple... but in the end, it's perfection

I think so many groups focuses on recreating a specific type of retro sound (the more 90s retro, similar to 'The Feels'), but the type of retro-inspired similar to the 70s and 80s is much funner to listen to, since it's less repetitive.

Not a huge fan of retro music but ive's making me change my mind! The way they keep topping their previous releases is just unbelievable.
Old classic pop music are literally better quality than a lot of modern pop music especially in terms of the technical stuff. Really bad noise levels and loss of dynamics are always being done nowadays.

@@itzyzsl that’s not actually an opinion. Those are literally technical stuff about the methodologies on how music is mixed and mastered back then versus nowadays. I’m pertaining to the really high compression with modern pop music during mixing that renders the loss of dynamics and also to an extent the over usage of quantization. I guess not everyone knows about that because not everyone are musicians.
I’m not saying that modern music is bad. I listen to a lot of modern music and a lot of old music. I’m just pointing out differences on the technical side of music production and how it developed.
EDIT: Of course, I use the modern music methodologies of mixing when making music as a hobby because that's what people like nowadays.

The best instrumental in history. They slayed
The sampling of the strings from "I Will Survive" was done very well. Instead of just being inserted after the chorus, you hear the strings coming in before the chorus at 0:37, 1:39, and 2:25. In the first chorus, you hear just one long note that eventually fades as the guitar strumming the chord progression takes over until the strings come back after the chorus. In the second and third choruses, the strings playing along to the chord progression without any breaks to the post-chorus melody. This was so creatively done that the IWS sample integrates very well instead of sounding like it was shoe-horned into the song.
