My Grand mother had a Jersey that was extremely protective of her offspring. One day my Grandmother got between her and her calf and my grandmother got "nailed". She came to our house (my mom was a nurse) all bloody about the head & shoulders. My mom bandaged her up and from then on we kids knew that cow as "Meanie".
Hi , your baby is the star in my book. Hes so adorable and gentle. We are seriously thinking of TN to move to. Please share about the insects like ticks… my lovely wife is very afraid of ticks. We want to do a homestead like you but also want to be closer to big city for convenience and supplies. I’ve look into N east TN as well. Would you share about how Asian Americans might fit in TN? We’re also from CA and want to move out to conservative patriotic God fearing red state like TN. Thanks so much. Blessings
Great video guys! Very informative. I feel like y'all gave a good picture of the Jersey cow. So glad to work with y'all too! Maybe we'll meet up in person someday 😀
Excellent and informative video. I hear that the midsize Jersey cow is less likely to have milk fever. Don't know if that is true or not. Good luck to you folks!
I just bought a jersey heifer off of Craigslist. I’m planning on breeding her. Other than Jersey, what kind of bill do you recommend breeding her to? Looking for a smaller size. Also, what is the importance of A2A2?
Are you wanting to AI? If you are then I would just use semen from a bull with low birth weight calves, we actually made a family milk cow course! It has so much information in it, I’m video form and PDFs vaughan-family-farm.teachable.com
What if we crossed the Jersey with the Jurassic?! I think we will get the characteristics of both breeds together, and the hybrid will be in the middle of the characteristics of both. What do you think of that crossing?!

Thank you!! It was great to collaborate and that would be fun!
I feel like I’m leaning toward team Guernsey!
They seems like a GREAT breed!
I prefer Jersey over Guernsey because of the size and the traditional looks of the Jersey.
My husband too!
Beautiful family, 14 words.

I did not catch the breed of cow you were moving to in the video?
Jersey!

Brush the cows and they will become much easier to handle.
