    Things are looking amazing! I am so happy that everything is growing so great for you! For the weeds/grass that is coming up in your empty holes..... lay some landscape fabric over the beds that you don't have anything planted in and you can take it off when you are ready to plant or just roll it back to expose a little of the bed for seeding. This will keep you from having to weed that area before you plant. You could also use cardboard for that but it doesn't look as nice.

    Okay...this is gonna be epic!!! What and how are you keeping your energy up to do all this?!! I need some of what your havin' ......and make it a double!! I just thought I was tired. I got to the point where I just had to quit planting..I was so tired. Also doing it by myself....at 66 yrs.young. Another bed, hmmm I'm guessing dahlias? I love following you and can't believe what you've done. I just loved the way you planned out your areas and got so much out of the spaces. That's what I wanted to go to. Just sowed more sunflowers last evening before it rained. And---something keeps digging up my glads. Don't forget to breathe girl!!

    Gomphrena is my favorite flower- in SC it’s so hot in the summer & mine were beautiful last year- I saved the flowers & grew from seed under lights- I now have tons- this year I found one nursery with orange- pink- white- hot pink- I will be saving seed- my original plants were dark purple- I grow flowers bc I love them but have a huge deer problem in my subdivision- I will watch your flowers grow - you have done lots of work.

    @18.00 minute in, I think that the weed barrier is radiating too much heat and fries the plants.. they look scorched in the outer leaves… especially those leaves that are touching the fabric…
    just a thought.

    Always love watching what your flowers look like. I grow 99 percent of the flowers for my yard my neighbor lets me harvest seeds from her yard. With seeds so many strange colors show up. I have a purple petunia with different flowers colors and patterns off the same plant. I love cameras when I was in my teens my dad taught me darkroom skills. I have one of canons first digital cameras and I think it's 6MP. 300D.

    It looks amazing! One question/concert.... not sure what type of globe thistle you planted... but I planted a couple of them last year that I started from seed, they stayed small last year. This year they exploded! They are 5 feet tall and full of an almost neon purple flowers - gorgeous but HUGE! I am going to move them after they are done blooming as did not expect that! Thank you for all your inspiration - love your friendly/neighborly tone with your gardening - wish you were my neighbor! :)

    You doubled your growing area!! It looks great. Unfortunately there still is only 24 hours in a day. You might need a helper this year. Re miniature pumpkins. How many plants at each leg of the tunnel? I enjoy watching all your videos.

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  Год назад

      I thinned the pumpkins to 2 plants per leg.

    Beautiful! I was just wondering how you got so many flowers out of the much smaller space last year? Also, do you have planting and harvesting help? I am not a flower farmer - just a wannabe who is too old now; and I am amazed by how much you get done.

    How deep are your beds? Are they in part native soil? Thank you for your beautiful tour.

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  Год назад +1

      The fenced in area is all native soil in ground. Raised beds are 6 inches deep but on top of native soil. All amended with compost and raised bed mix when made.

    Why don't you cut from the Russian Sage?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  Год назад +1

      I never have - usually just let it go for the pollinators. Does it hold well in a vase?

      @@SunshineFlora It did last year, and it dried quite nice. Added some nice airy blue texture.
