There are no comparability issues I've heard of between this Sigma lens and Sony bodies. In fact, I read quite the opposite on the Sigma website stating that they worked with Sony on perfecting the focusing with newer Sony bodies. The focus hunting you show is actually common with all lenses when trying to focus on black objects but autofocus is a limitation of the camera body, not the lens. The Sigma has great focus capability. I own mostly Sony GM lenses but this 85mm lens is far superior compared to the GM. I've been doing a lot of research and the only real deal breaker with the Sigma is the pincushion distortion.
Agreed. Sigma is doing incredible job not falling behind on aitofocus capabilities, which makes them even more attractive alternatives to Sony’s own lenses.
