Thank you for this, i'm several years late to the party but have decided that I'm not putting myself through hell trying to beat this game. I'll just enjoy watching this instead and save myself hours of suffering :)
I played Returnal at launch. Couldn’t stand it, it was too hard. Years later I gave it another shot and I absolutely love it. Best PS5 exclusive in my opinion. The controls are so tight it’s unreal.
Fuck!!!!! How do you make that jump so advanced? I am also an experienced player but I don't know what that jump is like? What button do I have to press on the dualsense?
What i dont like about this game is that after a dozen or so runs i realized that 90% of the time you are better off to just go past enemies. Like you would in a speedrun. Thats not why i play games. That said, this is pretty amazing.
@@izenbice hi, I actually no-lifed this game and completed act 2 now. I would say it's a case of choosing your battles at the start of the run, but definitely try and kill as many as you are capable of handling to get the obolites and drops. don't inspect the dead scouts unless you're ready for a really hard fight. also, some 'treasure rooms' you teleport to can actually randomly spawn a mini-boss & fuck you up 🥲
@@three_seashells bet, thanks for the reply. Bro I inspected the scout and about shit myself, was not expecting a boss lmao. I beat the first boss last night on the 3rd try (like 5 hours in) and just got to the mars biome. I'm pretty trash at video games like this but I'm like determined to beat it ya know. Feels like you get better and better each run.

Wanna say that fighting all enemies does indeed have its perks, but it’s not completely necessary. This game is great because pretty much everything in it is all about risk. Me personally? I don’t run from fights so I blast everything in sight 😂
Maybe I missed this but is this speed run being done with the most current updates? I know the developers had gotten rid of some of the previous speed running tricks with their later patches. Potentially due to the IGN speed run video they were involved in.
I guess I got lucky. I died twice to the first boss, happened to get a random player to join me and help me out. Then we died in the second boss. I died a second and third time on the second boss. I got some leech bullets and I beat the second boss and continued to beat the third and fourth in the same run
What I hate about this game is that it kinda feels like you do it for nothing. An the end Selene is just like “yeah, I deserve this”, and nothing happens. I think it’s a good game but not for me tbh.

EXACTLY my story 😂 I even ended up making it through the Derelict Citadel without dying and beating Nemesis without dying! Fantastic game!!

I have only got 2/3 hours so far, but is this true? Don't you need the adrenaline stacks and currency drops

Took me 33 deaths to defeat phrike. I’m new to gaming so this guy is surely overkill.

@@jvhzillv169 mouse+keyboard, you don't have to press them together. You have to dash then jump then melee. It's a command in a quick succession
