I am glad you overcame your anxiety to upload this video. I enjoyed it and will check out some of your others. I lived in Granada for about 10 years until a year ago, now close to Malaga. Love the word Fernweh (I think the "weh" pronunciation would be like the Enlish "way"), I have had fernweh for my entire live. I do not believe there is a cure for it, luckily. 🙂
Hi! I am so happy to read your words! Thank you so much ❤ And of course, I still have no idea how to pronounce Fernweh but maybe you are right since you feel it too :-D Tbh, I haven't met anyone in Spain who would feel this way, so I am very glad to come across you here! Especially that Fernweh can be connected to the quote: “Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life” :)) We are happily infected :) Btw. Why did you move from Granada???
@@thefernwehtype As a Dutch person we learn and hear a lot of German, but I think correct pronunciation of every word is overrated. The feeling is the more important part. The main reason to move from Granada was to be closer to the coast and not have the Grana winters. There are some other reasons, but those are not so much for a public online platform. 😀 Will have my first trip back to Granada in about 4 weeks and am looking forward to it. I do miss going for tapas.
@@andriespoelman264 Wow! That answer surprised me a lot because most people can't stand the "summer" and you wish the "winter" was shorter! A huge surprise! Other, personal reasons also are understandable 😁Anyway, I hope you will enjoy as much as you can all the tapas you can get, especially since I recommended my favourite place, Rosario Varela! 😍
@@thefernwehtype True, the summers can be unbearable in Graná, but those moments when everybody pours into the city late at night when it cools down, I loved that! Or just enjoying the mountain breeze at night on your own terrace. Turns out I ended up in Rosario without planning ( I had been there a few times) but we were in the area and it started raining and we looked for a nice indoor bar. And Rosario is that for sure. Also, I am very much thinking about stealing your idea from the Fernweh tattoo, I hope you do not mind! 😍 Besides that one, I am also thinking about getting a ? tattooed because without asking questions, wether to ourselves or others, we are in the dark!
@@andriespoelman264 True, the mountain breeze this year came for a little longer and I am enjoying it 😁 Oh, Rosario Varela is my favourite place to go!!! I always take people who visit Granada to that place, it is a must! They have the best guacamole and the interior of course is amazing. About the tattoo, of course, you can do whatever you want :) It's not copyrighted and if that way it will remind you of what you love... do it 🫶 And I actually love the ? idea as well 😅Brilliant!!!
Thank you for such an artistic and heartfelt video!! I will actually be spending one month in Sevilla in November studying Flamenco with my teachers. I am an older dancer fulfilling a lifetime dream.
We are never too old to pursue our dreams!! You will fall in love with the weather and the city, I am so glad you can do that in November. Please, visit Granada for at least 4 days to enjoy its sunsets 🫶 And thank you for the kind words! ❤
Moved to Granada in November 2022, this summer was hella hot. the city is pretty nice and clean, an enough amount of people understand English, but I'm plannin to move north because the weather here is too dry, hot and sunny for me. Granada also has a decent amount of illegal immigrants and some neighborhoods are even dangerous according to Spain. Low wages and high unemployment are also a big problem. I have no idea how things are in smaller cities 😉
It is so true James!! I actually don't like summers for the exact same reasons! Especially when it comes to hot/dry weather... It isn't very good... I also ask myself the same question: How people can survive the same heat every single year? 😰
Granada is beautiful, but if you born there, you don't have many job options beyond the ones related with the tourism. I see for this video you live in london!!
as you recommended, I applied to the Facebook group "Expats in Granada" but they blocked me. idk why, lol. before that, Facebook also threw an identity check at me, but I passed it
Hii! I don't know where you are from... But tbh Granada isn't the best place to look for a job. 🥹 I think the best option is to find a remote job and just come to live here (it can be hard but possible). Many Americans and British people live here and they are happy!
I use to live in Granada. I visit every year. I love it so much. Many great memories. One day I hope to live there again.
Mi querida Granada, algún día volveré junto a ti. Hasta entonces, te llevo en mi corazón ❤
What a love Granada is.
Your video made me cry, because I love Granada so much, it's like my home, and I really hope to return soon...
Excellent video ❤️
I really wish you to make this dream come true! You just have to believe it will happen, pack your bags and come back. Happy New Year Damares! 🎈
@@thefernwehtype Thank you so much for your words! I will never stop believing 🥰

sí! ¿pero no era un "encanto"? 😄
Better channel than others with so much more subs and views, things of modern RUclips... I bet you are from Poland!
This is so nice to read, I really aim for honesty! And yes, I am from Poland! Dziękuję bardzo, and greetings for you wherever you are 😍 !

Where in Granada? It is awesome place
Most of the views here are from Mirador de San Miguel Alto :)
It is nice.
Is that the country or the city ?

Hello friend ,assalamualaikum
Would you tell me the truth.. i"t is a city of Spain or an independent country. "
Granada is a city :)
is it just me or is the sound really bad? I think it would be better to take the sound track off the video and do a voice over again
👀 so sorry to hear that... 😔
