Thanks! Good to be back. Honestly these lessons take a while to edit and forgot how time consuming they are but it was fun. Lion king is definitely fun and super grateful for the opportunity! Music should be out soon (I hope 😂)
Juan another great lesson. Your lessons are always very valuable. Great explanation, great build up of exercises from easier to harder and great sound, especially through headphones. Keep up the great work. You are truly a professional and great drummer.
Just perfect. Those ghosts are soo smooth and buttery ❤ You manage to make the most busy grooves easy like a stroll in the park, and even got time to feed the ducks. 🤗

Great lesson, Juan. Also emphasizes the importance of dynamics. Regrading snare drums, I've always been partial to two or three Ludwig models. The 5" and 6 1/2" Supraphonics are awesome (believe everything you've heard about them). And then there's the Ludwig Black Beauty for a brass drum. Those are my favorites, probably because they're old like me. 😆 Lastly, kudos on the "Lion King" sub gig! I watched my friend play the "Hamilton" gig here in San Francisco and the book literally made my head spin. You must have some amazing reading chops. I think I'm a pretty good reader, but those shows have every...thing...written...out...to the most minute detail. Did you have a lot of time to prepare? And are B'way shows something you would like to do more of in the future? Thanks again.
@@paulrevelli Fantastic snare drums!!!! As far as Lion King, yeah it’s all pretty much written out. Pretty much no improvisation and I have to TRY and sound like Carter which is no easy feat. Right now I’m just focused on doing the best job I can. If something opens up in the future I would definitely consider it, but as of now I’m very happy with subbing at Lion king. Great show, great music/cast and the I get to hang with nice people. No complaints, but it is lots of work and pressure. I did get a chance to prepare for the show but you literally get one chance to make a great impression, you either sink or swim. 🤣🤣
Unfortunately won’t be there this year. Maybe next year or the year after. But have fun! Stop by the Audimute booth! If you’re looking to get some sound treatments that’s the booth to go! Have fun!!!
Nice lesson. Good to see and hear you again. Congrats on subbing for Carter on The “Lion King”. Look forward to your music, too!
