Instead of flaming this musical for what it should have been, can't we just try and appreciate it for what it actually is? I loved the original cast, and I think that the ultimate treasure would be to see them again. But from what I've heard it wasn't possible to put them all back together. I'm just happy that they got the original Rukia back for this, it feels like she's linking all the musicals together. Imo, this seems to be some pretty extraordinary work, and I'm gonna give it a chance. ;)
I still love Tatsuya, but the new Ichigo is good too. After 12 minutes I know I'm going to miss the old cast, but a new cast means new musicals, and that means maybe I'll see one in Japan one day. Also, Kyouraku is in this if thumbnails are to be believed. That is too awesome for words.
@FallenD0ll After the last RMB they wanted to start fresh with a new cast. They held auditions and went from there. Not sure why they kept Sato Miki (well, yeah, I can guess why they kept her, she's so awesome). I'm thinking that possibly a lot of the old cast had a lot going on with their lives (family, new things going on). I do miss the old cast, but I think this new cast can sing very very well.
AGREE!!!! but I'm sorry, it doesn't even out. Tatsuya Isaka (Ichigo's actor) is better at everything. Though I admit that the new one is trying his best. Because, the new one has an unconvincing aura, his voice is just not strong enough, does not look as good (Tatsuya was better looking!! He was cute!!) I'm so pissed with them changing the cast, especially with Byakuya-sama...The new one, or NO ONE can replace Osamu-chan. HE WAS PERFECT!! but....I feel that Rukia's actor has gotten better :3

@FallenD0ll I guess five years is way too long to keep an actor/actress to a role, especiall on live show like musical. Stage plays and musicals consume too much of their time. The reason for Miki staying is probably they could not find proper new Rukia, but I kind of hoping that Toho, the company co-producing Shinsei, is using this RMB as a sort of tryout for bigger role for her. (Toho owns rights for musical like Les Miserables and Miss Saigon in Japan.)
I don´t understand a thing but the last ppart was about remembering "that day" it seems they are remembering when they met??? kyaa so ichiruki!! I´ll keep watching it!

Ta-cchan's better in portraying Ichigo, but the new guy's good at singing. When you're in a musical, that's kinda better, kinda evens them out (except that Ta-cchan's looks better). The only ones I can't seem to get over are the actors for Hitsugaya and Byakuya... I miss the original cast already. :'| And I'd cry if they replaced Tutti (Gin's actor)!

i tried to watch this musical but to sad, i can't go on.. i lost the feeling of watching bleach.. it's like i'm watching different story..so heartbroken.. i miss the old one musical with beautiful songs and play.. and definitely i hate this ichigo..i can't feel ichigo charisma in him..i am so sorry, i just try to throw out my frustrating feeling because i wait this musical for a long time and has high expectation toward it..

I've been there on the first show in Tokyo... I was so angry. Finally managed to see RMB alive... For them to change the cast! How could they? My Tuti, I miss you soooo much!!! :(( And how could they make Ukitake a GAY? wtf, it looked horrible on the scene! and the plot was much to serious - i mean, c'mon, most of RMB's fans love the jokes, not the seriousness in it...

@autumnsoliloquy No, but the writer tried to make it like an episode from Shinigami Substitute arc, with a lot more Shinigami on Ichigo's side.
