    I'm happy it all worked out. I read a tow truck driver loaded a new Mustang Mach E on a flatbed damaging the batteries located under the vehicle. That's not covered under warranty and the toll truck driver winged it instead of calling Ford customer service for loading instructions. It cost the tow truck company $25,000 for repairs. We guys don't use manual or ask questions. At least that's what my wife says. We just do it. Enjoy your Maverick. I'm waiting for the order bank to reopen to place my order.

    That’s a pinch weld where the side body panel meets the floor pan. It’s not meant to be a jacking point. Just letting you know if you do it wrong it’ll crush the sheet metal and look like crap! Lots of older unibody Mustangs running around with crushed pinch welds.

    Hi David, I ordered an XL Maverick which should be here in a few weeks. It has the steel wheels on it. I noticed you had a similar wheel for your snow tires. Can you order the more premium wheels from Ford? Is that where you got yours?

    • @CDLNEPA

      The XLT Comes with the grey aluminum wheels. The black wheels and snow tires came from Discount Tire Direct. I always order from them. Great service and usually get them in a few days

      It's called Hellfire by Alexander Nakarada. I got it off of Free Stock Music

    I believe those two small things you used are actually meant to place on top of Jack stands. They are called Jack stand pads and work great for unibody vehicles. That’s why they are hollow inside/underneath. They are meant to slide on top of a jack stand. The round hockey puck looking one is meant for the floor jack. I’m surprised the other two pieces held up with no support underneath.

    • @CDLNEPA

      They did the job.

    Those rubber/plastic bits are NICE! I had unibody cars in the past, and I just went to the jack point and started cranking. This is a MUCH better way. I mean, my way didn't damage the car, per se, but protecting that underbody paint is a good idea.

      I believe they call it the pinch point at lest where I worked at one time not sure if that is what it's called though.

    There’s a long preformed tube that makes up the rear axle on the FWD versions. You’re not able to put a jack under the end of that tube or perhaps under a spring support plate, like you can with beam axles?

    • @CDLNEPA
      @CDLNEPA  2 года назад +2

      This is an awd Maverick. The floor jack will not reach that far underneath the front or back to get to a suspension point

    Great video. I bought my Maverick back in November. So far I'm really happy with it. As far as jacking up the truck goes I'm lucky enough to have a decent sized shop and a hoist.

    Suggestion for you: replace the factory two piece lug nuts with solid one piece lug nuts. The factory ones will fail you. Research "Ford swollen lug nuts". Disregard if you've done this already.
