The concept of 'Perfect World' definitely delivers feelings of anger, and the lyrics scream "leave me alone", so you are right. Although, there are many types of messages we can interpret. For instance, you can notice that there are many scenes with men (and only men), wearing masks, and some of them are playing a role where they are rather "sneaky" or even creepy. Other times they are just too distracted with Twice's beauty, or are only too focused on Twice as visually appealing idols rather than as people who have feelings and boundaries. In a romantic sense, this song can simply mean a negative relationship that is or has crumbled (think about Mina's pre-chorus lyrics and Tzuyu's verse), and that it is time to say goodbye. On the other hand, it can be ending a relationship with fans who, in your words, "take it too far". Invasive, relentless, obsessed fans. Have you heard of Nayeon's stalker? He is a German man named Josh, went as far as to travel to Korea and track her recent locations, leaving his number for the people there to give to Nayeon. That's not all. (TW: threats) I believe he's also made a video, letter, or something, where he confesses feelings for Nayeon and claims that he would harm himself if she did not respond or reciprocate. There is more that you can find if you want to know. You could even say that these lyrics are directed towards him: "You have no right to talk about love Can’t stay here anymore (Oh-oh) I just wanna be far away" If we look at the MV production and story, the music is suppressed and audio is faded at one point. With this, you see a few members just posing, looking, at the camera while there are effects. They are directing your attention to their visuals, almost "hypnotizing" or seductive. Now, referring back to the faded audio, pay attention to the lyrics, the words. In this moment, you are the antagonist (or fans), and it's like you are ignoring their words. Anyway, that's just some more quick insight for you lol, hope it helped. There's definitely a bit more I could talk about, but perhaps too much to read. If there are other onces who have similar or different opinions, or if I got something wrong, lmk.

Perfect world just hits absolutley different its nuts. Fun fact they would always cut live perfomances of this short because the choreo was so intense they would be too exhausted to perform a second song so they would always cut it short to perform longer.
this is why with all the kpop groups i checked out, only Twice has made me a full blow stan. Because while other groups can do 1 genre amazingly and be stereotyped to that and eventually come out as repetitive, some at most can do 2 difference genres successfully, Twice has shown that they can do EVERYTHING! bubblegum pop, girl crush, bossa nova, retro, city pop, electro pop, punk rock, christmas songs, summer songs, any genre best believe these 9 girls can do it successfully and still maintain the Twice uniqueness thats beloved by many. Add that to the fact that their personalities and relationship offstage are top notch! soo worth to stan for.

A lot of people say that this song is about sasaengs (stalker/obsessed fans) and I think that meaning suits the mv really well. I think the song's and music video's message is about people who hide behind their screen (hence the mask) to talk badly about them, but also delusional "fans" and even stalkers (Nayeon's). Which is why at 5:25, the song's volume gets muffled and we see glamor shots of some of the members. I think it's a first person view of someone who is delusional and isn't listening to the them (the song).

i think this is about a life of an idol making it seem like a "perfect world". them as entertainers is the reason why they're on stage. the men fighting and the chaos around are the dark or bad side of being an idol and i feel like the reason why they're still performing even after all of the chaos is as an idol, "the show must go on" so idk that's what i got from this video.

the song is about a former lover who doesn't want to hear about being rejected, rather than a legitimate stalker who ignores the girls' wishes and is oblivious, which is comparable to nayeon's long-term german stalker who terrorizes her and the girls. he gets onto the same flights with them, stayed outside nayeon's apartment last year, and also tried to enter the building, jeongyeon warned fans and knew about his recent return to korea on nayeon's bday because he actually called her, leaked private chaeyoung's number, etc. he's told everyone that he truly loves her and wants to date her, he went on to say that some of her past lyrics hint at him and is convinced that she too has feelings for him. he has always denied being a stalker and has stated that JYPE lies to the police about him (apparently they're conspiring against him because he is a foreigner) and he only has good intentions towards her. he stated that he would only leave the country if nayeon directly told him to. he believes people around her, JYPE, and the members are poisoning her mind against him. when confronted by their managers, he threatened to kill her if she tried to date another man; he has asked her to openly reject him if she truly dislikes him, and he will continue to pursue her until she does. because of his advances, #ProtectNayeon made a lot of noise on twitter. could explain why they were mad.
i also might be wrong but i believe this song came out either during or just after Nayeon's Stalker flew from germany to s.korea to find her. So i would say the theory of it being toward crazy fans is pretty close

This MV talking about Sasaeng Fans. The type of fans that their love is don't needed by Twice. Sasaeng fans that love is so twisted, it's hurting the idol. That's why the lyrics said to go away, etc. It also symbolize by the masked man that literally everywhere, in the back stage peeking at Sana, disguise as a photographer with Tzuyu, as stylists, etc. The car crashing inside the building scene represent how this "fans" literally go beyond the boundary on so many level. There's also a theory that this is an ex lover song which is to be honest, don't have that much different than sasaeng. They both persistent, don't know how to stop, and annoying.

Literally my favorite title track of theirs and the one that convinced me to check out more of Twice. I'm glad you're able to release this reaction. Each chorus is so impactful when you first hear it but that 3rd chorus with the Jihyo explosion was insane. And if you think that this came out maybe a month after Alcohol-Free, you can imagine how blown away Onces and casual fans to see the total 180 in sound.
I can't remember exactly, but I think this was released around the time when Nayeon's stalker was a big thing & overall making the girls uncomfortable. Even going as far as booking the same flight as them & trying to make contact with Nayeon on the plane.
OH MY GOD YES YES SORRY I'M LATE! Dude they all did such a Phenomenal Job like always I was so shocked and also not at the same time they all were Insane just Wow! Nayeon came through with the Vocals especially the high note near the end and don't get me started on her in that Black Dress she was absolutely Gorgeous she always is, Jeongyeon went off with the Vocals and her starting the song was everything that we needed and her Visuals were off the Charts just Wow she is so Stunning like always, Momo went off with the Visuals the Vocals her Rapping and her Dancing was absolutely Insane and don't get me started with the MoDubChaeng walk just Wow, Sana was absolutely Amazing even though she didn't get as many Lines she still killed it with her Vocals and near the beginning with the Sana close up was just not needed just again Wow, Jihyo was just Wow her with the dark hair the dress and the red Lipstick was just killer and her Dancing was just Lethal she kind of reminds me of the Vampires in Resident Evil Village with that look again Wow (... 7:23 you're welcome), Mina was just Gorgeous as always her Vocals are so Stunning Elegant and soft just Gorgeous and her Visuals were off the Charts and don't get me started when she was holding that little car again just Wow, Dahyun went off with the Visuals and the Rap she was absolutely Insane just Wow her and Chaeyoung was just Crazy Chae was also Insane her Visuals were just Gorgeous and like I said the DubChaeng rap was just Crazy they did not have to go that hard on the Rap definitely one of my Favorites from them, and Tzuyu was just glowing she was crazy with her Vocals she clearly got so much better her Dancing was Insane and don't get me started on her Visuals just Wow and her little smile was Lethal! the song is about a former lover who doesn't want to hear about being rejected, rather than a legitimate stalker who ignores the girls' wishes and is oblivious, which is comparable to nayeon's long-term german stalker who terrorizes her and the girls. he gets onto the same flights with them, stayed outside nayeon's apartment last year, and also tried to enter the building, jeongyeon warned fans and knew about his recent return to korea on nayeon's bday because he actually called her, leaked private chaeyoung's number, etc.
he's told everyone that he truly loves her and wants to date her, he went on to say that some of her past lyrics hint at him and is convinced that she too has feelings for him. he has always denied being a stalker and has stated that JYPE lies to the police about him (apparently they're conspiring against him because he is a foreigner) and he only has good intentions towards her. he stated that he would only leave the country if nayeon directly told him to. he believes people around her, JYPE, and the members are poisoning her mind against him. when confronted by their managers, he threatened to kill her if she tried to date another man; he has asked her to openly reject him if she truly dislikes him, and he will continue to pursue her until she does. because of his advances, #ProtectNayeon made a lot of noise on twitter. could explain why they were mad.

This MV talking about Sasaeng Fans. The type of fans that their love is don't needed by Twice.
Sasaeng fans that love is so twisted, it's hurting the idol. That's why the lyrics said to go away, etc. It also symbolize by the masked man that literally everywhere, in the back stage peeking at Sana, disguise as a photographer with Tzuyu, as stylists, etc. The car crashing inside the building scene represent how this "fans" literally go beyond the boundary on so many level.
There's also a theory that this is an ex lover song which is to be honest, don't have that much different than sasaeng. They both persistent, don't know how to stop, and annoying.

Literally my favorite title track of theirs and the one that convinced me to check out more of Twice. I'm glad you're able to release this reaction. Each chorus is so impactful when you first hear it but that 3rd chorus with the Jihyo explosion was insane. And if you think that this came out maybe a month after Alcohol-Free, you can imagine how blown away Onces and casual fans to see the total 180 in sound.

OH MY GOD YES YES SORRY I'M LATE! Dude they all did such a Phenomenal Job like always I was so shocked and also not at the same time they all were Insane just Wow! Nayeon came through with the Vocals especially the high note near the end and don't get me started on her in that Black Dress she was absolutely Gorgeous she always is, Jeongyeon went off with the Vocals and her starting the song was everything that we needed and her Visuals were off the Charts just Wow she is so Stunning like always, Momo went off with the Visuals the Vocals her Rapping and her Dancing was absolutely Insane and don't get me started with the MoDubChaeng walk just Wow, Sana was absolutely Amazing even though she didn't get as many Lines she still killed it with her Vocals and near the beginning with the Sana close up was just not needed just again Wow, Jihyo was just Wow her with the dark hair the dress and the red Lipstick was just killer and her Dancing was just Lethal she kind of reminds me of the Vampires in Resident Evil Village with that look again Wow (... 7:23 you're welcome), Mina was just Gorgeous as always her Vocals are so Stunning Elegant and soft just Gorgeous and her Visuals were off the Charts and don't get me started when she was holding that little car again just Wow, Dahyun went off with the Visuals and the Rap she was absolutely Insane just Wow her and Chaeyoung was just Crazy Chae was also Insane her Visuals were just Gorgeous and like I said the DubChaeng rap was just Crazy they did not have to go that hard on the Rap definitely one of my Favorites from them, and Tzuyu was just glowing she was crazy with her Vocals she clearly got so much better her Dancing was Insane and don't get me started on her Visuals just Wow and her little smile was Lethal!
