I was frankly disgusted that you forgot that Niklas Sjöstedt had his number 4 retired in 2000 playing for Swedish second division (first at the time) Örgryte IS. It's just basic ball knowledge
Steve Sidwell was a great story actually, he recently spoke about it on a podcast, and how it was basically a power play by Jose that if the club werent going to get him a proper striker then it would just have to go to Sidwell. His friends and family couldnt believe it lol
Peter Whittingham has his space in the home dressing room with his shirt hung up. Gets me every time I see it in a picture/video 😢 wand of a left foot. He does what he wants 💙🕊️
Grosics Gyula had his number 1 retired at Ferencvarosi but he's never played for them. He just casually signed a contract at the age of 82 and hungarian team decided to retire his number. A guy from Aberdeen has a number 0 retired even though it's banned now But pretty much a guaranteed one for that category is someone who passed away too soon like Sala (Nantes) or had some serious injury like Nouri (Ajax)
Most iconic moment in Premier League history and I have no memory of where I was that day. Wasn't into football too much and was really young. Just an ordinary day at home for me probably.
Day/Video 6 of trying to get Pingu to include a Romanian player - sorry for the late comment, had my 23rd birthday today - For retired kit numbers - Catalin Hildan with Dinamo - shirt 11 - That’s all for today! Much love as always ❤
Some recommended categories: Players to score 4+ goals in a game in PL (was just watching a video, very doable to get 10) Teams to come bottom of their European group (recommended during Christmas quiz but UCL is back this week so should prompt memories)
Klopp’s first final was actually a league cup defeat to City, same season as we lost to Sevilla unfortunately. Man the amount of finals this man has lost overall in his career saddens me 😢
I find the concept of retiring kit numbers a bit strange especially if they're 1-11. As great as Maldini was. Milan have a hubris to think there'll never be another number 3 for example
Would u count number 9 for exeter? We retired it for Adam stansfield due to his unfortunate passing, Ben Seymour took during covid season, re retired jt, then jay stansfield had it when he came on loan last year and it’ll be re retired again unless Jay n only jay comes back. Obviously jay is adams son
Messi should've been a retired kit number but sadly Spain rules are very strict with first team registered players having to wear the numbers between 1-25 so retiring a number would basically mean 1 less player every season.
I think Sir Alex Ferguson beat Real Madrid in the European Cup Winners Cup with Aberdeen and then beat Hamburg in the Super Cup afterwards. I guess that is a bit early to count as Uefa Cup or Europa League though, unlucky Pingu
I think it was some Russian or Ukrainian team dnipro for europa league runners up. Only know this cuz they’re literally no longer a club and we’re in a final in the 2010s

😭😭
Micah Richards tells a great story about not being picked to start the game so I knew it was Zabaleta 😂
Ah nice

Celtic also got to the Uefa Cup final and didn't win. It was against Jose Mourinho's Porto in 2003.
🧠🧠
Also Adam Stansfield for Exeter had his number retired when he passed but his son wore it last year when he was there on loan from Fulham
True 👍

You could also include Miklos Feher in Benfica, we retired the number 29 after he died in a match for us against Vitória de Guimarães in January 2004
My go to sleep series 💯
Adam stansfield number 9 at Exeter city… then worn by his son jay when came on loan last season 🥰
Marc Vivien Foe at City has number 23 retired 🙏
He also has his number 17 at lens
@@Cocodmoan i never knew that, FairPlay 👍🏻

Because they're such outliers and I found it weird at the time. Boulahrouz and Sidwell were immediately my first two answers for the first list

No way 😂
I was going to tell you to do something with the big 6ix.
Do a video with carefreelewisg next

The other day Richards said he was fit for that game, and was watching the board as Mancini wrote zabaleta and was gutted.
From playing as Shamrock Rovers on FM I know their number 12 is retired in honour of the fans.
Adam Stansfield’s number was retired at Exeter, but his son Jay later took it on loan
Birmingham City actually retired Jobe Bellingham's number as well if I'm not mistaken when he moved to Sunderland😂
Would Omari Hutchinson not work for Chelsea-Arsenal transfers?
Will be plenty of youth moves for sure
No way! Matisse!! Get in there Luke 😎

Played the club his whole life, best left back of all time, 7 scudetti 5 European cups, if anyone deserve it is him.

As a Villa supporter, got 9. Forgot about Remi Garde, which is probably for the best because he was the worst on that list
Yes Mah! I’ll be tuning in live for this ❤
👌👌

Ajax retired the number 34 for Abdelhak Nouri, a nice gesture.
Would you have counted Stansfield? They unretired for his son though didn’t they
Crespo was number 9 at Chelsea too
Didn’t chelsea retire 26 for John terry?
Nope Koulibaly wore it 😂
@@LukePinguoh yeah of course 😂

Pingu, time to upgrade the mic
This Matisse guy represents his club really well and has insane ball knowledge
(make him a regular!)
I just noticed I wasn't subscribed??? I am now 👍🏼
Pope John Paul II had no.1 retired by his club Cracovia Krakow
Great fact
Vialli was a major 9 for Chelsea..
I'm pretty sure wovles have number 1 retired after their keeper got cancer when they were in league 1
Don't think its officially retired but Rui Patricio chose 11 in honour of him
Caicedo is 25 For Chelsea
Danny Welbeck scored at euro 2012
Anyone else for England?

Andy Carroll, Theo Walcott and Rooney @@LukePingu
Pingu? Are you originally from Sardinia? He forgot 9 Vialli !
