Awesome video. I am small RUclipsr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
Also there was SO MUCH great material from the other creators--I wish I could have included it all but this would have been an hour long. 😂 It DOES make me want to commit to my goal of making a video podcast though to have more of these conversations... what do we think? 👀
That's honestly amazing achievement, and thanks for providing your insight. Getting that first paycheck from RUclips is one of my favorite memories. I still remember it, there was lots of emotions involved. If it wasn't for my consistency and hard work (and a little bit of Famester of course), I probably wouldn't have made anything.

The requirement to become monetize is one reason why creators get bumped attempting to reach the goal. I believe that is why RUclips created the 500 sub program. It took me a bit of time to get monetized. I started getting serious about 2022. I was not monetized until 2023. My channel has improved when I started putting more focus on RUclips and less on my IG.
oh I so hear you on this!! Things really shifted for me when I started to take an 'all in' approach on RUclips and dropped a bit of my IG focus.. which isn't the best for me because IG is where my money's at currently. 😂

Ive been making content since the beginning of Covid- RUclips was always something I had,I uploaded my shorts daily- not even thinking about revenue but more of growing my subscribers, I was doing a lot of TikTok and instagram. this year, one of my shorts that I made 3 years ago blew up, it was crazy and I am now 2 million short views away from getting monetized. I am so excited, watching your video has inspired me- I love your transparency! and this is out of subject but you are GORGEOUS OMG.

Kaya! I'm only 10 seconds into this video so I have no idea of the contents yet... but I just want to say how amazing I think your channel and its topics are. I am a full-time influencer myself (having recently gained over 100k followers on instagram).. but it has been a HARD journey to get here. I was making little to no money last year and I wouldn't have been able to survive if my parents weren't so supportive. I'm working on branching out to RUclips doing similar content to yours because as you say, transparency in the influencer space is super hard to come by. All this rambling does have a question attached to it haha... do you ever worry that creating this kind of content (talking mainly about your other videos e.g. 'saying no as an influencer') will 'turn off' brands from wanting to work with you? - I know logically that the answer is no, and of course as long as the content is respectful and informative there is no issue. But I'd just love to hear your take on this if you have one! Thank you!
Oooh thank you for the kind words, and such a great question!! it has worried me, but it’s so funny, a lot of people at the brands I work with follow my content here and bring it up often in a complimentary way. I think it was important though for this to still be a separate brand-like a different account and name from where I do most of my deals as to not mix up and dilute my audience-and I think it’s important that in the transparency I am always respectful and also I try to still acknowledge the brand’s side as I educate, I emphasize that this is a partnership with them, we shouldn’t be trying to exploit them just because we think our worth is one thing-so I think that nuance helps maintain that respect. I mean statistically it has provably turned off SOME brands out there, but then it wasn’t aligned. Also congrats for breaking 100k that is AMAZING! And looking forward to seeing what you do next.

My advice, if you are new and not yet monetized, you can get a lot of hours making music videos, too. Millions of people listen to and watch music on RUclips. Yes, copyrighted music. It doesn't matter anyway. You are not monetized yet. Just gather all those hours.

Awesome video! I just love your vibe! It took me 1 year to get monetized posting once a week and took 2 months off that year bc life lol.... first month I got monetized I got my first pay cheque .. a little over $100 CAN. I also have a super hard niche... homeschooling
I have another channel and once monetized my first 30 days I made $6,730.25, I got 1.4 million views. This was May 2020. 100% not normal & yes, I could totally live off of that and one of my highest income months (just Adsense) I made close to $10,000 … wild times

I have another channel and once monetized my first 30 days I made $6,730.25, I got 1.4 million views. This was May 2020. 100% not normal & yes, I could totally live off of that and one of my highest income months (just Adsense) I made close to $10,000 … wild times

Good video. Adsense is a joke unless you have a specific niche like the ones you mentioned. Also entertainer gossip channels do well
