There are no programs that “add” to parental salaries if a child “needs” things. There are hardworking Americans busting their balls off, so they can put something on table for the Family and there are some just getting it free. Congress hasn't done an actual budget in decades. Always a big omnibus continuing resolution, at the last minute when the blackmail is to authorize it all, or the government will shut down. "Spend 10% more than last year" is not a budget. Break the budget into a dozen areas, with consideration spread to one each month so Congress can apply it's full attention to each part of the budget as it comes up for consideration, and the blackmail would be limited to just 1/12 of the government shutting down if the spending bill was not passed on time.

If they want to simplify the Tax Code, abolish Personal Income Tax, and make-up for it with a National Sales Tax. While they are at it, they should declare that *property taxes* are a "tyranny tool", used by government (at all levels), to either control or remove the property owned by Americans. The average American has to feel the pain, not the untouchables, not the oligarchs, not our superiors. How easy it would be to tax $10 billion from 100 of the wealthiest billionaires (averaged out), and within 2 years you have $2 trillion.
I'm tired of these two non-Americans trying to destroy our economy and this country. Vivi would love to turn this country into a clone of India, and Elon has a wet dream for turning the US into the apartheid state he so dearly loved in South Africa.

@9:20... This opinion from Manhattan Institute is deeply flawed. Basically, they are assuming that NO CHANGES will be made to regulations that allow fewer people to be more effective and therefore start to actually LIKE their job. Further, from this perspective alone, the possible job cuts will be way greater than 25%, while increasing agency throughput and eliminating the billions spent each year on reams of 80gsm paper and printer inks. Because even after printing, the result is still mostly worthless.

As someone who is not a millionaire, I really don’t think a person who is and another who is a trillionaire should be deciding on budgeting the government programs for millions of people who will never make that much in their lives. Or men who are deciding to cut Planned Parenthood since they’ll never need the services they provide. How out of touch can you be? Ah, poor folks don’t need this or that, women don’t need this or that. I’d appreciate consideration for both poorer people and women. Idk.
