Its age shock for me to see three grown men talk about EDM/DAL playoff hockey who have no memory of Dallas excusing Edmonton from the tournament five straight years in a row back in the late 90s/early 00s. Thanks for making me feel old.
I'm old enough to have watched the 1984 Oilers win their first Cup - and all the others. What a time to be alive as an Oiler fan. Not comparing the current team to the 80's team, because there is no comparison. I'm just enjoying the 2024 playoff ride we're on. I hope we can make fools of all the Stars fans who are underestimating the Oilers. They DEFINITELY need McDavid to start playing like McDavid and doing ALL the McDavid things if they're going to challenge Dallas.
Dallas in 6. I think their D shuts down Draisaitl and McDavid and their depth wins out. We'll see.
Carrick reminds me of Joe Murphy he can defend and score when he is in the paint.

The stars were juggernauts . Cujo Modano Smyth doug weight . Those were action packed
I remember all of the heart of ache from the 90’s from Dallas/Edmonton series
totally agree that the third pair is a weakness, but y'all are vastly underestimating thomas harley's defensive game. he's been a bit of a revelation since being paired with miro from an offense-first guy to a really solid defender in his own right

If Henrique comes back into the lineup, I hope Ryan or Brown is sitting, and not Carrick. Carrick brings energy and grit, which we need.

i think dangle is correct in that the oilers need to drag the stars into the muck and throw them off their game in order to win the series
Stars beat the last 2 cup champs... Kings/ Canucks don't compare. Oilers only hope is Jamie Benn staying in the box (he is capable of that) if Dallas stays out of the box, I don't see a way for Edmonton..... also "Corey Perry scores a goal" 😂😂😂.... I wouldn't hold your breath on that.
Really!…you’re going to be surprised…the knights barely made it into the playoffs …they were the wildcard team and the stars barely beat them..then look at the avs …no defense whatsoever and they took the stars to 6 games…also no goalie…please spare me the details of why you think the stars had a harder teams to beat then the oilers…the oilers had far better defenses to face then the stars ever had in these playoffs, so do not write the oilers off because that would be foolish…
Your right both are better defensively then Vegas and Colorado
@dianedyck3474 yep, fans who talk about Vegas or Colorado are going off of name and rep, not what actually happened with those teams this year.
@@dianedyck3474We’ll see but personally I didn’t think Dallas would beat Vegas or Colorado. Oilers don’t scare me as much as those teams. Everyone predicted Oilers to beat LA and Van.

Who would've thunk that bouchard would be the best all around dman in the league in the playoffs. His defensive game has improved astronomical and nobody has stepped up like he has in these playoffs.
I remember people laughing at me when i was saying that they can teach him to be better defensively and now here we are he's played 12 games and has 20 points, and a plus fuckin 10, the highest plus minus in the league thus far.

Skinner wouldn't win an AHL championship let alone the Stanley Cup. Nice guy but there's too much swiss cheese in those pads to stop Seguin, Benn, Johnson, Robertson, Hinz, Pavelski, the talent differential is just too much. Stars in 5.

@@Rickeyspaniish the canucks actually had no choice in the matter…the oilers outplayed them in every game except for game 5…the oilers took away the canucks choice!
@@dianedyck3474 i think the cancuks played better in more games then the oilers but the oilers got a lucky re direction on the bouch OT goal. I’d still bet with demko and boeser in the lineup they would win but good on the oilers should be the easiest series for Dallas so far.
