Amazing that you met with River! I have not met him yet but my friend that I trained with in hempcrete has worked with him I live in a hempcrete earthship that I built myself and I can confirm through, its performance, it is the future of buildings, food, fiber and technologies and will help regenerate the land. I grow for CBD on small scale in the mountains but get loads of Hurd from large scale processors nearby in Alberta. The binders, lime, magnesium and pozzolans are readily available from various suppliers and mines. Anyone can make this stuff and apply to any project in some way. Thanks David and River! I'm sure we will meet some day. Workshops on my land soon 😉
They built some houses with hemp materials in Mattawa, Wa. In the early 90s. Nice and warm in the weather so I heard! And not too terribly hot in the summer there in the high desert.
Dave.. good video... .What kind of other fibers can be utilized other than Hemp to bind the concrete and have a similar insulation factor? Also, how are they tamping down the mix when they get to the top, just under the roof lip? Seems they need to investigate a better system for accomplishing tamping down, rather than risking a weak point at the top of every wall. Looking forward to Part 2.
I'd really like to see more pictures of this new building technique - like pictures of full finished walls and full finished houses - it's certainly very interesting to me "Dogman" here - salt lake city
How are the interiors of the exterior walls? Curious about how you would fish new wiring if you needed to. I’d love to see the entire process of one of these builds
How do the hemcrete blocks avoid mold growth if they are made from organic material? Is the volcanic ash treated with some chemical that retards microbial growth?
Can not wait for Part 2... Would love to build a camp home with hemp insulation. but with the cycle coming, I would want to able to heat it. Could this work with Underground Thermal Mass in the walls? Excellent show Dave
Where is the hemp grown? I'm in BC and ordered hemp seed from US and none of the seeds germinate -- I have to conclude that they radiated it at the border :( I found a hemp grower near Vanderhoof BC so might source seeds from them except they're in the business of animal bedding not seeds Thank you for the video -- I really enjoyed watching the process!!!
What kinda inputs are required, said he was part of a test group so had to give most of the crop, about how many archers to volume of wall are they lookin at. I assume the binder is some kinda cement
I’m building an earth bag earthship breaking ground in the spring! Filling the earth bags with scoria! After watching this I had an idea……what if you were to add scoria to this mix! I have 3 extra 800lb rolls of 28” diameter woven poly bags. If anyone is interested shoot me a reply to this message. No delivery only pickup due to the size of the rolls!
Did you say, "Dry for a couple months" Yeah, No! That is not efficient unless you're homeseading and have that time to sit and wait for it to dry. Heaven forbid, weather restrictions.
yeah, only for working with Lime, it's caustic, and the mask helps with that.. It's a joke on the work site, that the mask actually works in this case... ))))

In Florida they make hemp blocks that interlock
I’m an architect and I really enjoyed this
Great idea, thanks for sharing, you are at your best here. more, More, MORE. We need to think outside the box.
Right?
Creation is thought, regurgitation is rethought. Everyone is going back to the dark ages, part 2😂
HEMP is one of the strongest natural fibers … think ropes on sailing ships, HAD to be resistant
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Did you make your own binder with magnesium and pozzolans? Can I ask what your recipe was?
hempty Dumpty mortared a wall.. hempty Dumpty had a great Fall... Winter, Spring and Summer

Aircrete with hemp added can be formed into lightweight blocks that can be stacked like legos.
How about Hemp cement border walls?

Love the house method. Best to wear masks using volcanic ash. The Tephra/Volcanic-Ash is hard to source and expensive in places like Australia.
In five thousand years they'll ask, How did they move those big stones?
Update absolutely Love this ! ❤
If you need help burning the leaves, I work 7 days a week and holidays 😂.
I'LL MAKE A DEAL WITH YA!
You can have the leaves and I'll have the flowers!🫵🤣✌️🇭🇲
@JohnyBFoREvEr That would be one sticky house.
I love this!! Thank you, David for your time you give to us all!! Saving lives, walking in the light....so grateful for you!!
Do they have a book or anything that shows how to do it on your own?
I love it! Thank you!
can't believe those fellas are breathing in all that dust. Not too smart I'da thought.
The hemp fibers should be good, digestible fiber would get pushed out, but the volcanic rock dust... HEPA mask is cheaper then new lungs
We lost a lot of years applying the greatest resource ever known
Cheech and Chong Baby. Thank you David. Grateful
Thanks David & Paul. Brilliant content!
I think it’s great but how is it when it’s very wet climate.
Hemp is a crop, i see mice eating romax wire, will they find this delicious?
@ can and should
I imagen the hemp would be good, but the rock dust may make them eat something else
Well they eat the wires in your car because they use soy in the insulation -- rats love it
How are the interiors of the exterior walls? Curious about how you would fish new wiring if you needed to.
I’d love to see the entire process of one of these builds
Is that bentonite clay that is mixed in?
How do the hemcrete blocks avoid mold growth if they are made from organic material? Is the volcanic ash treated with some chemical that retards microbial growth?
Duuude! That is bad ass. I want to try this in 2026.
Very cool idea
Thank you!

This is awesome!
W knowledge, teach the masses.
Great information. Thanks.
Great information!!!
Yayyy! We are so glad you went down to see River & Amani! Can’t wait to build with hemp. You gonna do it Dave? Build a little hempcrete cabin?
going back soon

Looks good.
Have you seen Cob and Earthbag Homes?
Back to the bosom of mother nature 😅😂😊❤
Have to have a license to grow it here. Only so many acres allowed in state 🤷
What kinda inputs are required, said he was part of a test group so had to give most of the crop, about how many archers to volume of wall are they lookin at. I assume the binder is some kinda cement
similar system to rammed earth.... and cheaper. Also fire resistant, flood, emf, earthquake resistant.... perfect insulation for heat and cold
Awesome!
Nice
How does it age? 50 yrs in the mid Atlantic?
wouldn't this work with any woody plant fiber, and what is the binder they was using, jw
Good question, as industrial PM we used closed cell foam, also shotcrete, look it up, great stuff
Men of old used: wool, corn cobs, pine cones, shredded cotton, wood chips, yes any combination, may need certification now
Hemp constitution, hemp clothing, hemp walls..😂...More cities of brotherly love😮.

Hum... wonder how the insurance companys feel about this product vs the standard insulation? How much of a fire hazard is it.. ?
Why did we stop building stone?
Stone comes from the mountains. Eventually it destroys entire mountains and the ecosystem with them. I lived in a place where I saw it first hand
☀️
Mikey Block.
First wooo!!
No volcanic ash around these parts. 🤷♂️

Sorry but BS commercial on gold, after two other commercials was just to much anyway to long had to kill this vid and hit the thumbs down.
And if your supply runs out, you can just start smoking the walls!🫵🤣✌️🇭🇲
