You all asked for it so the full song version of this short is out now under "Nik Nocturnal & Hungry Lights - PopKorn" stream here: open.spotify.com/album/31IFTinEHWhZhSX98ZfPqu
Factsssss. Can't forget Fieldys thicc slap Bass. Practically a staple in classic Korn songs, it's also what got me into Korn was the slaps he did. As a drummer, love hearing percussion work like that, for years the slaps were so hard i thought they were the sounds of the drummers bass pedals lol. Never knew bass can sound like that until i saw what Fieldy did in Korn
The bassist is my neighbor and I just can’t picture him playing music this chaotic at all. The dude is the most relaxed guy I’ve met haha (Edit: since I see many in general in the comments are asking for Fieldy to get on the track with Nik, I’ll ask him or leave him a note. Just not sure how he will contact Nik besides comments that most of them Nik probably doesn’t read)
@@erikcopeland yes. His house is directly behind mine. And I live on the corner so he’s right next door technically too. Ive spoken to them many times from our backyards since we share the fence line.
@@thefue7251 I actually hardly listen to Korns music. Didn’t know he (Fiedly) stopped playing until recently. And I don’t talk to him often haha. I don’t see him except for rare occasions he’s outside. But the rare occasions over the years I have seen and spoken too him, he’s a very cool guy. Super down to earth. Not what you’d expect from a metal rock star.
My dude i love it. I love how your discecting these songs and finding the common things per band then making these how to videos. Even more so your getting the artists involved after words. Wild man.
The first "metal" song I heard and liked was "Here to Stay." I was in 2nd grade (a few months after Untouchables came out), had just gotten to school, and one of my classmates was getting dropped off. His mom was playing "Here to Stay" in the car and I was so intrigued by it. I interrogated the kid about it all day and he didnt really know or care about what his mom's music. I never got the chance to ask her about it and switched schools after 2nd grade, and my mind was blown when I found that song again at 16

It's call "SKAT"
YOU FORGOT THE DE-TUNED SLAP BASS IN THE BALLS SOUND😢😢😢
Fieldy would not approve...😂
Nick forgot about bass? Can't be!
Lol Nik just doesn't have the slap bass skill, he has been working more on his meme skills than guitar skills these days.
Listen to the full version, PopKorn, it’s there!
He didn't forget anything, he chose to not have that type of bass
Lyrics are so goddamn accurate. You really know what Korn is.
hola
He has the spirit of the Korn
Needs more bass slaps
yes he forgot that point
and some less complex drums

Needs the bass to become a percussion instrument.
If this was a bass account it would be the entire Short lol
imagining Korn without killer bass slaps is ridiculous
hello

I grew up a KoRn kid. I need to hear a full version of this!
Quite frankly, I'm surprised it took you so long to make this. Regardless, we require a full version asap
Yessss agreed! But no lyrics except the garble core 😂
Because Korn is solid. This doesnt even sound nu metal
As someone who has been listening to Korn since they first came out, this is absolutely amazing!

YES! IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING. Please Nik we need a full version of this😅
I cant stop replaying this, & im unsure if its because it sounds badass or because its fucking hysterical

OMG please full version i love this ❤❤❤
Is so accurate that we need a full version lmao
Nik seriously needs to collab with artists. He's so good at re-creating songs that sound just like the artists!
Amazing sounds like old Korn

Giving love to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!!! I love it
We need a full version NOW.
We need some haunted atmospheric production and dark lyrics as well as pain and personal alienation lyrical themes
pretty much, yes. and you know we need the full version
Full version with Chaoseum. Now. NOW.
Hair looks good here man!
Korn's bass and David Silviera's funky groovy drum is what sets apart.
As a MASSIVE KoRn fan…nailed it
ITS FINALLY HERE IVE BEEN WAITING HOLY SHIT... you know what to do Nik.
This is probably the most accurate one he's done so far
We need a full version now!!!
This should have Jonathan Davis guest vocal.
Love KoRn and their funky freaky metal 🤘😝
How to Korn in 30 seconds: *Summons Kali*
I was waiting for the ".......... Go!" part!
It's closer to Tallah
It's a sign. We know what vocalist this needs
HE NAILED IT 10/10 We need a 2 Minutes Version of this.
Now do a how to Korn with David drumming
If Jonathan Davis doesn't collab on this, you could always try to get the singer from Adema to fill in.
A full version required now lol
I didn’t know I needed this
Full version coming soon
This actually sounds friggin' cool. Love it. Grew up listening to them.
No idea what da f happened but i'm waiting for the full version
Full version of this is gonna be a banger.
References to: Shoots & Ladders, Twist, Freak On A Leash, Blind, All In The Family, and F@*et (for those wondering)
Vocals on point 💯
Not korn at all
And the bass makes 'ting ting', don't forget
Do a full version of that PLEASE!!!!
I've actually never heard a Korn song like this.
This is a mix of everything they do and it sounds like 5 of their songs playing at the same time!
they just mixed blind and shoots and ladders
@@bigal7025 I legit have heard both songs and neither sound like this
(Although it does sound like it could be on self-titled or life is peachy)
you already know buddy. waiting for full version
Put some groove in there too...love it.
That was awesome!!! And spot on!!
can't wait for the full version
God I fucking love both Korn and Khorne

This is too chaotic… it is definetly Korn
Full version yesterday please and you know this one screams Justin of Tallah for the vocalist. Your Nu Metal song was my favorite so far
Damn better than modern Korn, by a long shot. I demand a full album!!
Full version. Now. NIIIIIIICCCKKK!
You overkorned it! Great Job!!!!
love it!!!! Add the slap bass on top and Korn will be proud!
This video is better than whole Korn discography
Can’t be an a-hole about the bass in Korn dude! It’s killer unique.
I literally laughed out loud.
This sounds like Jeff Foxworthy’s “Redneck talk” when yelling at animals to get off the kitchen table.
FULL VERSION PLEASEE
And this is why Nik is forever the goat change my mind.
I dig this and korn. ❤
Vocals on point
WE NEED YOU TO MAKE A FULL SONG WITH MR. DAVIS ON VOCALS!!!!!
