You know I just realized that this was the first time Regina ever heard her mother laugh... I'm heartbroken all over again. Lana and Barbara were so perfect!
She heard her mother laugh, but it was more of a scoff or a sardonic form of it. You're right.. she never heard her mother laugh from a place of JOY and LOVE. Which makes what Snow did all the more terrible and underhanded... even though Snow had reasons .. she lost her mother, her friend Lancelot, her maid/friend to Cora, her father to Regina, not to mention dozens of villagers loyal to Snow., 28 years of her life and Emma's childhood and young adulthood to the curse.. I mean, she was driven by intense loss and pain to curse Cora to get back at Regina. All because the Chumpings as I call them or "the two idiots" as Regina called them, didn't follow through on their promise to Regina which would have prevented the curse and all the garbage that would follow. But then, we would not have seen Regina become Queen of the United realms because she EARNED it.. :)

I think this has been what Regina has been wanting to hear for the longest time, "You were enough!" Cora became power hungry because she did not see her self-worth & value. Because she came from a place of scarcity & "not enoughness," she made Regina feel that she wasn't enough as she was also. In Cora's delusional mind, she thought she was doing all of this for her daughter when she was really doing it for her ego. Personally, I think this would have been Cora's happy ending…knowing that she didn't have to be more than she was or do more than she needed to, that she was enough already & that Regina would have loved her like a daughter loves her mother if Cora had not put up walls against her. Obviously, her heart was in the wrong place, and was only in the right place when she was dying. All Regina wanted from her was to be loved unconditionally.
pretty sure Cora not having her heart is the main reason for all those things she did.

Very late but ty for this comment. I’ve always wondered for years what Cora really meant when she said that these things would’ve been enough, and what you said makes perfect sense. Seeing Cora get a true happy ending in season 5 is nice when you think of her past

I love the scene just because when she gives Cora her heart she is so happy and childlike because she finally has her mother. The mother she could never have before. Then when that was taken from her she just becomes so helpless and lost and it broke my heart.

Such an Epic performance by Lana, many emotions, I loved how when she asked ,"What's going on?" She sounded like a confused little girl.
This is person number two that died in Regina's arms caused by Snow White.

God this scene. This right here, this u2s how they tied Bambi into the show. Just look at Regina. Hear her voice. She sounds like a frightened child (like fuckn Bambi) and it's heart breaking. As much as I HATE Cora, this still makes me shed a tear. All hail our Queen Lana. Just brilliant.
Does anyone realize that with the ending of "Welcome to Storybrooke" that what Cora wanted to happen did? *Spoilers!* she promised Eva that she would make Snow's heart black as coal and now as a result of having a hand in her death, she has done exactly that? OMG!
She meant that if she kept her heart, her love for Regina would've been enough for her.
OMG Regina's face at the end. If Lana didn't act as her then this show would never have made it this far.
This show doesn't need to regina to be great. It already has amazing characters.
Lana Parrilla is such an amazing and awesome actress! She is so talented! When this happened this scene sorta made me change my mind about Cora...but I still hated her. Regina had finally gotten her love from her mom and SNOW HAD TO RUIN IT AGAIN. This is one of the many reasons Snow is my least favorite character.
I love how behind Cora, we see the frame of the mirror that banished Cora to Wonderland in the first place.
This scene actually breaks my heart, it's everything both of them ever wanted :(

I hate how Gold was like, “I did nothing.” Sometimes I just hate his loopholes. He was the one who introduced Mary Margaret to the candle in the first place. He was the one who talked Mary Margaret into doing it in the first place. Yes, Mary Margaret was the one who actually cursed Cora’s heart and tricked Regina into putting it back inside of Cora. Both Gold and Mary Margaret are responsible for Cora’s death, not just Mary Margaret. Anyway, I do think that this scene was very well acted by Lana Parrilla and Barbara Hershey, and was quite a sad scene. Regina has always loved her mother but has never felt that her mother loves her back the way she wants her to, but for the first time in her life, she feels her mother’s love and realizes that her mother really does love her, and she loses her mother just a minute later. However I just want to add that I am just glad that Regina didn’t end up killing Mary Margaret or Gold for what they did because this is what allowed Regina to become a better person in the first place. I also want to add that I am glad that this doesn’t end up being that last time Regina sees her mother; she sees her again in the Underworld.

Cora pushed her. She found out cora killed her mom then before she could react killed someone else snow cared about. Cora knew by doing that it would push snow over the edge. So really her own death is her fault for tormenting snow the way she did.

This death probably hits me the hardest because all Regina ever wanted was her mother to love her and when she can finally have that she dies. And you can see the like pure joy in their eyes and it's so painful.
If Cora had become the dark one, Cruella and Ursula would have never visited Storybrooke for waking up Maleficent.

I agree with you somewhat. The death of Daniel wasn't technically Snow's fault, she was 10 years old at the time and she genuinely thought she was helping Regina by telling Cora about the relationship. Snow had no idea Cora would react that way. But, in this scene, Snow had a choice, she's a grown adult who can make her own damn decisions, so I understand why Regina is pissed here.

Go back and watch Johanna's death. Regina is basically responsible for taking her mother, father, daughter, true love, several of her friends, her nanny and tortured her for 28 years. This is the only action Snow has taken in retaliation, and then there's tye fact even the show thinks Snow was right to do it later on since Season 4 retconned the darkness in her heart to be from killing Maleficent's daughter.
This is just... so... frickin... painful. Well if Regina wasn’t traumatized enough already... ugh... she’s so helpless and childlike in this scene... just... ouch. Gets me every time.
Regina's, "Don't leave me please" just brings tears to my eyes.
I felt so evil when I was happy during this scene. Maybe because I despised Cora so much.

if cora had become the dark one, would the dagger be able to control her since she is without a heart. the dagger should be like a direct link to the heart and the reason it can control a dark one should be because the magic uses the principle of controlling the heart indirectly.

Cora just had an epiphany and realized that all the things she did for power were useless; she realized that regina was enough, that she didn't need magic, a crown or really anything besides her daughter to be happy

Snow used the candle cora used to kill her mother to infect cora's heart and she tricked regina into putting it back into cora's body which killed her.

Cora could have beeing a great mom cause in the end as you know she loves both daughters so much they would have beeing perfect together hate that Snow destroyed it. Glad Regina got a happy ending and Zelena got to be part of the family and became a hero. Regina would have deserved to be with Robin thoug. Lana and Barbara are the best actresse's.

The second have of season 3 was amazing. Season 4 wasn't that good, but that second half of it made it great. Season 5 was amazing. Season 6 was meh while season 7 was ok if you look at it as filler and not actually canon, but bad if you look at it as a continuation to the last seasons.
