Yeah unfortunately for twilights branch timeline to exist link had to die by Ganondorf post majoras mask, remember in the past ganon is still alive so he needed to get stronger and to do that he went on a trip to save hyrule.
But as we know from twilights journey he also had to meet his end in battle since he was wearing armor.
Ganon might have been sealed in the future timeline ie windwaker but in the past he was still fated to move around freely until link was an adult.

It sucks but as the player, our job is the only help when "they" [the devs] allow us to.
we can't interfere in the worlds we aren't given access to and the ones we can we can't go outside our reach and time/space alloted.
Once our job is done unless we are called back which is very rare the rest is up to them.

a suggestion thay you don't need to heed, it's just something that makes sense in my head -- maybe you can have Wind and Twilight in the same episode since they're both direct consequences of OoT.. plus they're parallel to each other in the timeline
Oo that sounds like a good idea but I do think I should separate them for each part
yup twilight is the paralel time where the hero of time defeated gannon and wind is the parallel timeline where he didnt so the godess of the zelda's universe flooded hyrule(btw is a theory but wind is probably not even link because the original was living on the timeline that he saves so there was no hero soul on wind parallel timeline(also majoras is also the hero of time but its theorised that mayoras mask game develops in the limbo so link was dead all that time and what we see its his soul fighting the demon mayora preventing him from destroying that world
