Yeah- this is the purest and most focused “Floyd” sound start to finish a show there has ever been. Roger and David foight over direction, but clearly Nick should have been the director all along.
I touched play, and skipped to any random spot. It was Lee's solo on AHM. Pure bliss. 11 shows and counting. This year we'll be going to all shows in Italy. Life is good!
Watched it yesterday. Up close in a small venue it's an unbelievable flash back to the 60's. What an amazing experience. So thankful that he's still touring.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Philadelphia concert a few days ago. I totally expected Nick's band to get creative with songs he has played for past 50 years. I applaud them for providing a creative twist while keeping the Floyd sound. I hope Nick releases a recording of the tour. I would definitely buy it.
Thank you so much for uploading this! Saw them live last year in Lisbon and it was probably the best concert I will ever attend in my life... and I'm only 21 years old
Saw them yesterday at the Beacon Theater in New York, it was an incredible experience. Just unbelievable. I've seen David and Roger live as well and I would say David is still #1 but Nick is a very very close second
Southern Rock here but Pink Floyd is the Greatest Band to ever live. I have always wanted 1 more album and tour but Nick and band Satisfied the void for me anyway. Keep Rocking Old School Faithfuls. We grew up to the Besr Music Ever.
this is my favorite era of Pink Floyd, although i love it all dearly. It is my favorite bamd, always been, closest to my heart. There is something, an emotion to it, in one word (2) Pink Floyd. It means so much to so many of us people... We are all one tribe of Pink Floyd, those 5 guys gave us something special and heartwarming on so MANY levels. I love you all, God bless
What a show! I wish I had seen it in person….instead of Roger Waters….which had its moments…..but this was more about the music from a magical time than an uninformed rockstar ranting about politics. Love the guitar tone….the clarity, great bass…..what a band!!!

I never knew that 'seagull' sound from _Echoes_ was made by feedback from a guitar held up to a microphone. I am assuming Nick Mason told Lee Harris how it was done, because I can't imagine Harris fiigured it out by himself. Perhaps he did. Or maybe Guy Pratt told him, since he toured with Dave.
It isn’t 😉. It’s all done by means of a wah way being plugged in the wrong way round and manipulating the tone control. The only reason I am lifting the guitar up is to show you - the audience - that it is me making the sound and not playback. It’s just performance.
@@leeharris1553 Well, there we have it from the horse's mouth; Thank you for taking the time to reveal one of rock's abiding secrets! Now I will have something intelligent to say whenever someone brings up the subject. Thank you for your great work on the concerts. 👏👏👏
This is fantastic. All the songs I've yelled for in concerts for years. The only thing missing, one of my favorites CYMBALINE. thank you Nick. PS I also liked Crumbling Land from Zabrisky point
Nick looked like he was in a sleepy trance on a couple songs but he looked really good and healthy when he walked off the stage at the end. Very good to see! WIsh they had come to the southeast US but the closest was all the way up near Boston I think :(
Nick has always been known to champion the pre Dark Side Pink Floyd, hasn't he? And for a saucerful of good reasons 😉: to start with, because he still had his portion of artistic say back then - like everybody in the group -, not to mention the onstage visuals and audio were maybe not brain but surely wallet children largely of his. When PF became more and more of global players, his input was, you could say, restricted to his craft. Plus, he ended up as the one being saddled with mediating between people at each other's throats. Only to be belatedly belittled by a certain one of those parties. It speaks for his character that, in spite of all those things, he always remained on good terms with EVERYBODY. Now without a doubt, this here comes as close as any possible to the latter day Pink Floyd as they would have performed the early day Pink Floyd. You can only congratulate Mr. Mason for this very fine achievement. I think ONE singular excursion beyond the concept would be a rendition of Dark Side's On The Run, for isn't it a signature tune of Nick's with its oddball hi hat. And I guess if they can reproduce the sound effects of Echoes, those of On The Run should be possible, too.
Sounds more than Pink Floyd themselfes! Sad they never played their older stuff...together,as they still had the chance to do so! Now Nick Mason is paying honour to these amazing songs until 1974. And they are fantastic! Surprisingly good! And Kemp he simply showed what a good musician he is. Wasn't expecting that from a Spandau Ballet member...he must've been a fan. Knows all the passages, breaks, changes of rythm...wow!😊😉✊🎉❤️🤷🏼♂️😂
Great video! Overall the concert was pretty good. Nick was awesome. My only complaint is that the supporting band took too much creative license with Echoes. It's probably in the top 5 of my fav Floyd songs so maybe I'm being petty, but I want songs to sound like the album version, dammit!
Pink Floyd is over... I lived thru an amazing time....people,some anyway we're talking about the Folly of War.Now everyone wants to look tactical ,wear guns, have AR-15 s ..what a terrible transition to the END!!!!!!!!!!
Our version is an amalgamation of Meddle and live versions of the song from the 70’s and then we add our own flourishes. I take your point about wanting to hear the album version live. We leave that to tribute bands - Nick has no desire to be in his own one and neither do we 😉
Thanks for your comment and inventing the band😊 I guess the problem is with official discography having so few live recordings from that era, that without active looking 😉 lot of people don't even know how different live PF were and cannot appreciate your efforts.
