One thing I forgot to say LIGHTNING gems when making a +1 to lightning spell gems wand. Same goes for if you want to make a +1 fire, etc... you need 40% total quality of fire tagged gems and a wand to sell to the vendor to get the +1. If you happen to find a topaz ring in act 2 and have an alt and a magic wand you can also get flat lightning dmg to spells on a wand which is super nice for leveling. The higher the rarity of the topaz ring the higher the # of lightning dmg to spells.

@@WheresTheAnyKey1 inquis has a very good sustain because of conc ground but he is meta mainly because it is probably best ascendancy for spell crit and has insane damage from it. If you wanna see what i mean in numbers you can open this builds league starter pob and remove the 4 crit ascendancy nodes which results in loss of like 60% damage.

I prefer to level with Holy Flame Totem(+fire+lightning), Flame Wall(+efficacy) and Frostblink(+arcane surge). Its way faster and the dmg is more consitent. Then I switch to StormBrand on act 3 on a 4 link. But apart from that it's a great build guide and I'll be leaguestarting it for sure.
very nice guide. just a note i got from watching ben a few days ago is the leap slam frostblink tech, its very very fast and you can cancel leap slam with frostblink, linked with faster attacks its way faster than leveling, just cant use wands

Can't find anything on your gear or in the nodes? (Still mostly on leaguestart POB) (note to self: Can it be the 20% quality on the gems?)

Maybe use Spark as a backup instead of reroll ING but I've always loved brand builds. So fun to melt bosses with heat sealing laser type brands :D only clearing can be an issue IMO
Doryani's should stay stupid cheap because it's a drop from atziri and I feel if oskarms become rare they still won't hold a lot of value unless someone makes a meta build with it. Call of the brotherhood might go up a bit at first but you can farm cards to get it so I doubt it will stay high for long.
If you want to switch to crack lance I would do it later. Crack lance needs a lot of cast speed to feel pretty comfy and you're going to have to change a couple points around to be more crack lance friendly.
just found ur build guide on POE-VAULT , looks very straight forward. What worries me is: how do i actually "visually" spot, wether my brands are active, or if i have to recast them. Is the "automaton stormbrand MTX" any good for that purpose. Does it significantly improve my awareness of brand-uptime " in the thick of the fight? The Buffbar is too cluttered, not a viable indicator for me in this game.
the Spark + FlameWall + StormOrb combine is better before got 4Links and Brand's passives, the storm brand's damage is too low to kill enemy after GGG nerfed it.
I love storm brand but the fact is it struggles a lot when there is many mob, just hitting few of them and aoe doesnt help too, you either need very high damage to kill them at once or need explosions. I want to play storm brand really much but I know I'll end up quiting it in juicy maps. Sadge
@@Velyna I did the math, if using a voltaxic rift and thunderfist with storm brand, overcharge, unbound ailments, you can get the dmg required to hit a 105% shock to 9k on sirus. Thunderfist gives lvl 30 added lightning damage, pretty sure its doable. No idea on the damage output on LC though. One of my thoughts was to just gem swap. While clearing, use storm brand in the 6 slot, while bossing, use LC in the 6 slot. Since it uses a bow, could even use OoS. Boss dmg would be LC, OoS, storm brand as shocker.
I mean it's really not optimal at all, but you're not going to get much benefit out of your ascend, so what you'll grab profane bloom, maybe the cold but only if you get the call of the brotherhood if not it's useless. vile bastion I guess and malediction? Idk it makes more sense to go with some other cold skill instead.
You almost can but you need more regen and to wear a ruby flask. I couldn't quite get the regen there in 3.18 but to be fair I gave up the slot for something else.
It depends on what your end game plans are for HC, like it can do the feared, GIGA Bosses on softcore, but I would probably want to switch it from two wands to a staff and build some block, but I don't know about that dmg loss.
I think both are a fine choice and I can add the other recipe to my pin, I just usually don't find a topaz ring til act 2 and depending on the alt situation it might be a bit of a pain. I do tend to find a ton of +1 items in act 1 and 2 on the ground. The recipe was mentioned mainly for crafting your early/mid mapping wands.

Yo Velyna, I used to play your Witch version of the Storm Brand, what is the advantage of Inquis?
It lets you ignore needing to stack penetration, and is more defensive than guardian when you use petrified blood properly!

It's just such easy charges and enemies can't steal them so that map mod is no longer a concern either.

Maybe I'll give it a shot, I didn't have any problem when I was levelling but hey if it can make me get through acts faster I'm all about it.

I mean if you want to do 100% delirium yeah you probably want to get an aurabot to make it go a bit faster but it can do wave 30 simulacrum.

Any Iron Ring dropping from Act 1 (fairly common) can be instantly vendored for a Topaz Ring with any green gem (1x Wisdom Scroll) :)
