Yuzuru has it all, he is just pure art, amazing to watch, captives you when he is skating. It is hard to find someone that consistent , he is going to be the king of the ice for so much time. it is difficult not to be moved by his performances, you can feel all the emotions he is transmitting, the gratitude, the effort, the love, the enthusiasm, it is inexplicable how many emotions he makes you feel through his skating. He is delicate, captivating, passionate, a true performer in all senses.

Yuzuru's performance is so regal, timeless, and otherworldly. It perfectly encapsulates how there is spring to look forward to after the harshness of winter. I also loved the little details where it seemed like he was waving goodbye to the ash/bleakness and ushering in spring as this lone flower on the ice. This is just art. Nobody can skate like he does.

@@mariaaparecidabohmann9507 Later, I also found out that he was on like 6 painkillers today as his pain has gotten worse. But to be able to still pull off such a flawless and masterful performance effortlessly in this state is what I can't understand. Same thing with his performances in Pyeongchang and his fp in Beijing, the things he is capable of doing with the worst injuries and other setbacks is incredible. He's a very special athlete indeed.

It was a gruelling olympics. We were there with you, in our hearts, in our minds. Trying our hardest to give you strength. In the end it was you who gave us strength with your powerful Beijng practice runs through many of your gem programs. And then these 4 minutes of your Haru Yo Koi; it was the most beautiful, the most memorable and heart piercing HYK you've gifted us so far. I will probably cry every time i see this bit of heaven, because there's so much human essence laid out here. Vulnerability, sadness, frustration, loneliness, gentle love and affirmation, a wish to nourish, to grow , to give back gratitude, and raw strength coming from this indomitable spirit refusing to give in but choosing light, always light. @@ancapatrascu1545 Many athletes who didn't podium are chosen to perform at the Gala. It perhaps wasn't in his best interest as he's nursing an ankle injury but apparently not performing at the Gala once chosen is a breach of contract. A bit harsh imo.
i wonder if the view counts are upped each time we skip to Yuzuru's performance? I have contributed dozens alone. Other contributors have said it all by now with why we return....I agree with all! Thanks Olympics channel for sharing and please post his part separately, too!

I checked this other video which I believe covers the highlights of the gala and it shows at the top that there are 200+ comments but for some reason the entire comments section is empty. All these videos were previously under the main olympics channel. Please try to recover all the comments because the way the whole world celebrated Yuzuru's skating during the olympics was amazing to see, no other athlete received this kind of support, and at least part of that could be seen in all the heartfelt messages shared in the comments section.
Hanyu yuzuru is irreplaceable , he is and will forever be the one and only one. No one can perform programmes with such meaningful titles and can actually touch the softest part of audience's heart.

I am more of a ball games fan and I only watched Winter Olympics'22 out of boredom, but after watching, I immediately became a fan. That guy, Yuzuru, he's amazing. His skating stands out and the best out of everyone. Like even if you're done watching his performance, you have to rewatch it again because it's just so magical and beautiful. He's in an ice rink in a stadium full of people but when he skates? It's like he's in a frozen river, surrounded by snowy pine trees and chirping birds. I don't know what are the exact words to explain it, but it's so enchanting, so hypnotic, so dreamy, so fairylike. While other skates because they have to take home the medal, Yuzuru skates to express emotions and to share his masterpiece. Through his skating, it seems like he's trying to say something. His skating touched me, it motivates and it inspires me. It was so beautiful. I'm not bashing or hating on the other athletes but after watching all of their performances, I had to rewatch Yuzuru's again to 'cleanse' or remind me what figure skating should be, how artistic and beautiful it should be.
It's been weeks since Olympics'22 but I'm still binge watching his performances, interviews, fancams and every contents of him. At first, I thought that he's the most famous figure skater because he's obviously the best in this field and he's handsome, but after I watched his contents, his personality made me stay. He's amazing, talent wise, personality wise. It even made me wonder how can someone like him exist in real life. I was so captivated by him, I made a research and find out that he's been through a lot. The earthquake, his asthma, injuries, and also the fact that he's robbed of medals and underscored a lot of times already. His life can be made into a movie or manga because he's just been through a lot of hardships. I do understand now why people call him the GOAT and the Prince of Ice. He is not just athlete, he is also an artist, a performer and an inspiration. He is an icon, a legend. The only figure skater who can make their performance elegant and beautiful like a swan. The only figure skater i've seen who can make the jumps smooth and easy. He's an art. Honestly, he doesn't need medals, he's above those gold medals already, what they need to give him is a crown made of diamonds. He's that unreachable already. He's irreplaceable that I fear what would happen in the figure skating field once he decided to retire.

I am Japanese, and so yes, I favor Japanese's athletes/skaters for Olympic. However, more than that, Hanyu is one kind. Maybe, the music that he choose was something to do with it... maybe... (Japanese musician created it).... but more than that.... his performance made me cry. I felt really strong what he was trying to convey. He is a king and he is the best! Something beyond medals or etc.... I am so grateful to see it and enjoy an art that he creates.
I don't know how to describe the different feeling I have whenever I watch Yuzuru's skating compared to other skaters, I don't exactly know all the technical, artistical components in figure skating, but I can tell Yuzuru's skating is very mesmerizing, unique, artistic, poetic, and more than beautiful. It's not about the appearance and body figure at all, it's all about the vibes he gives off, his expression of the songs he is following, ahhhhh. He is an art himself.
And though he impresses us with his difficult tricks, he makes them look so easy and graceful, like a pro ballet dancer. His easy take-offs, the height and length of his jumps, the feather-light landings and the way he incorporates them into the story and blends them with the music. He's an incredible athlete, and an artist, and a genius.

The only one we need
I only love Yuzuru’s skating.He is the only reason why I watch the Winter Olympics Games,and I think that over 99 percent people come to review and express their support for him.
The moment the piano started playing on Haru yo, Koi, I was already on the verge of tears. I knew what was coming and this song gets to me every time. Yuzuru always delivers such a beautiful performance and you could feel his emotions in his skating. It's like he's telling me it's okay to feel like the cold, harsh Winter that is reality is trying to bring you down because the promise of a warm spring will embrace you. There is still hope in this world and that's what I felt when watching him skate.
The only disappointment I have with this video is that they didn't zoom in at Yuzuru and Boyang when they skated together TWICE and the ENDING where the skaters are literally still interacting with Bing Dwen Dwen. But most of all...... THEY DIDN'T ZOOM IN TO XINYU CARRYING YUZURU AND SPINNING AROUND. THE AUDACITY. Dx

Yuzuru's skate is wonderful. I am a new fan. I became a fan after Beijing after I saw one of his programs in Beijing because I just happened to come across it and I became a fan instantly. My regrets as a new fan is that I didn't know him earlier so I could support him longer and that I didn't know about fs back then so I didn't know there's gonna be a Gala. I'd have watched his last program on competitive ice but I didn't know since I'm from 🇷🇴 and we mainly see football . I was blessed to get a glimpse of his skate on TV ateast so I could become a fan. Now,I'm proud to be able to be his fan as he starts his new journey as a professional athlete. Yuzuru,your skating is magical and ethereal. oh yuzuru, what a wonderful performance. honestly i was in a tough spot when olys was happening. it was yuzu's skating that was getting me through it, sad that he wasn't able to get a medal this time but i believe in him. he said he gained his pride this olympic and im so proud of him for that

Nobody can quite skate like Hanyu. He understands the music so well. I always look forward to his Gala performances, it never fails to make me cry.
