But to be able to still pull off such a flawless and masterful performance effortlessly in this state is what I can't understand. Same thing with his performances in Pyeongchang and his fp in Beijing, the things he is capable of doing with the worst injuries and other setbacks is incredible. He's a very special athlete indeed.

I am more of a ball games fan and I only watched Winter Olympics'22 out of boredom, but after watching, I immediately became a fan. That guy, Yuzuru, he's amazing. His skating stands out and the best out of everyone. Like even if you're done watching his performance, you have to rewatch it again because it's just so magical and beautiful. He's in an ice rink in a stadium full of people but when he skates? It's like he's in a frozen river, surrounded by snowy pine trees and chirping birds. I don't know what are the exact words to explain it, but it's so enchanting, so hypnotic, so dreamy, so fairylike. While other skates because they have to take home the medal, Yuzuru skates to express emotions and to share his masterpiece. Through his skating, it seems like he's trying to say something. His skating touched me, it motivates and it inspires me. It was so beautiful. I'm not bashing or hating on the other athletes but after watching all of their performances, I had to rewatch Yuzuru's again to 'cleanse' or remind me what figure skating should be, how artistic and beautiful it should be. It's been weeks since Olympics'22 but I'm still binge watching his performances, interviews, fancams and every contents of him. At first, I thought that he's the most famous figure skater because he's obviously the best in this field and he's handsome, but after I watched his contents, his personality made me stay. He's amazing, talent wise, personality wise. It even made me wonder how can someone like him exist in real life. I was so captivated by him, I made a research and find out that he's been through a lot. The earthquake, his asthma, injuries, and also the fact that he's robbed of medals and underscored a lot of times already. His life can be made into a movie or manga because he's just been through a lot of hardships. I do understand now why people call him the GOAT and the Prince of Ice. He is not just athlete, he is also an artist, a performer and an inspiration. He is an icon, a legend. The only figure skater who can make their performance elegant and beautiful like a swan. The only figure skater i've seen who can make the jumps smooth and easy. He's an art. Honestly, he doesn't need medals, he's above those gold medals already, what they need to give him is a crown made of diamonds. He's that unreachable already. He's irreplaceable that I fear what would happen in the figure skating field once he decided to retire.

People honestly don't need scores and medals to tell them who is the best at this sport/art. It is so evidently clear who we all want to watch the most. I've been watching figureskating for 42 years now. I've watched every competition and winter Olympic games, but never, ever have I seen a skater, male or female, that has it all - elegance, passion, intelligence, talent, beauty, and charisma of one Yuzuru Hanyu. He is truly a blessed and gifted human being , and I hope that he will continue to elevate figureskating in all its glory. Yuzuru will be at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina. He is not done yet. To all the skaters past and present, here's one human being who truly enjoy watching the art and science of figureskating. I am Japanese, and so yes, I favor Japanese's athletes/skaters for Olympic. However, more than that, Hanyu is one kind. Maybe, the music that he choose was something to do with it... maybe... I don't know how to describe the different feeling I have whenever I watch Yuzuru's skating compared to other skaters, I don't exactly know all the technical, artistical components in figure skating, but I can tell Yuzuru's skating is very mesmerizing, unique, artistic, poetic, and more than beautiful. It's not about the appearance and body figure at all, it's all about the vibes he gives off, his expression of the songs he is following, ahhhhh. He is an art himself.

There really is something so phenomenal about Yuzuru. He’s obviously incredibly talented but there’s something else that just draws you to him. When you watch him skate, you can’t look away, his moves, the emotions, the music he picks all just have this feeling. It’s truly indescribable, I can’t explain how, but he just has this quality about him that pulls you in. His performances always have so much emotion, wether it was back in his earlier pro years where you could just feel the youthful energy he had. A bit reckless but so fun. Or now where he hasn’t lost that but there’s a more refined and mature touch. Experience and calmness he has. The emotional pieces he’s chosen to do always make me feel like I want to cry watching them. He’s absolutely the GOAT of this generation.

I only realised after Yuzuru's performance about the connection between the title of the song and the choreography, reading someone's comment here. The title apparently translates to 'Oh spring, come'. So now, I am even more in awe with his artistry and what he transmitted throughout his performance. And the moment of kissing the snow now makes even more sense with the theme of the song, but also shows such a pure love he holds for ice, for skating. This is rightfully one of the reasons he is so loved, his immense power to fully immerse into a song and bring it to life with such unique, intense emotion. No matter the scores, his passion, emotion, his everything, he is on such a different level. So happy to be able to watch him and cheer for him. it's a sad thing that all those beautiful words of love towards yuzuru were deleted, i sincerely hope it was a mistake or just some sort of technical difficulty. after all, yuzu embodies the olympic spirit better than anyone else. i am forever grateful to him for letting us enjoy his skating for so long, showing us all the beauty behind this sport. tbh, i only watched these olympics because of him. and, no matter how it turned out, i'm glad i did. his skating is remarkable, it always awakens all kinds of feelings inside of me. i want to embrace my love for figure skating through yuzuru hanyu skating and support yuzu in his new chapter. fly high, yuzuru!
i came to know Yuzuru from this Olympics and was so touched by his skating. I didn't know figure skating can be so artistic. Now both my daughter and i started going to skate in weekends. We look up to him for his legendary skating, courage, devotion, and beautiful heart.

I am more of a ball games fan and I only watched Winter Olympics'22 out of boredom, but after watching, I immediately became a fan. That guy, Yuzuru, he's amazing. His skating stands out and the best out of everyone. Like even if you're done watching his performance, you have to rewatch it again because it's just so magical and beautiful. He's in an ice rink in a stadium full of people but when he skates? It's like he's in a frozen river, surrounded by snowy pine trees and chirping birds. I don't know what are the exact words to explain it, but it's so enchanting, so hypnotic, so dreamy, so fairylike. While other skates because they have to take home the medal, Yuzuru skates to express emotions and to share his masterpiece. Through his skating, it seems like he's trying to say something. His skating touched me, it motivates and it inspires me. It was so beautiful. I'm not bashing or hating on the other athletes but after watching all of their performances, I had to rewatch Yuzuru's again to 'cleanse' or remind me what figure skating should be, how artistic and beautiful it should be.
It's been weeks since Olympics'22 but I'm still binge watching his performances, interviews, fancams and every contents of him. At first, I thought that he's the most famous figure skater because he's obviously the best in this field and he's handsome, but after I watched his contents, his personality made me stay. He's amazing, talent wise, personality wise. It even made me wonder how can someone like him exist in real life. I was so captivated by him, I made a research and find out that he's been through a lot. The earthquake, his asthma, injuries, and also the fact that he's robbed of medals and underscored a lot of times already. His life can be made into a movie or manga because he's just been through a lot of hardships. I do understand now why people call him the GOAT and the Prince of Ice. He is not just athlete, he is also an artist, a performer and an inspiration. He is an icon, a legend. The only figure skater who can make their performance elegant and beautiful like a swan. The only figure skater i've seen who can make the jumps smooth and easy. He's an art. Honestly, he doesn't need medals, he's above those gold medals already, what they need to give him is a crown made of diamonds. He's that unreachable already. He's irreplaceable that I fear what would happen in the figure skating field once he decided to retire.

People honestly don't need scores and medals to tell them who is the best at this sport/art. It is so evidently clear who we all want to watch the most. I've watched every competition and winter Olympic games, but never, ever have I seen a skater, male or female, that has it all - elegance, passion, intelligence, talent, beauty, and charisma of one Yuzuru Hanyu. He is truly a blessed and gifted human being , and I hope that he will continue to elevate figureskating in all its glory. Yuzuru will be at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina. He is not done yet. To all the skaters past and present, here's one human being who truly enjoy watching the art and science of figureskating. So Nathan skated on Romanian music, I'm Romanian. My "vote" of 10+ as a spectator goes to YUZURU. I said it and I repeat it again, the dictionary does not have enough words to describe Yuzuru as a skater and as a person. As a spectator, I feel honored to have the chance to see him skate. Yuzuru Hanyu could perform the same routine 100 times and still make every single time feel special. On top of the technical skill, his musicality and artistry are just on another level. I honestly find it hard to pick out another skater whose style is this distinct.

I don't know how to describe the different feeling I have whenever I watch Yuzuru's skating compared to other skaters, I don't exactly know all the technical, artistical components in figure skating, but I can tell Yuzuru's skating is very mesmerizing, unique, artistic, poetic, and more than beautiful. It's not about the appearance and body figure at all, it's all about the vibes he gives off, his expression of the songs he is following, ahhhhh. He is an art himself.

There really is something so phenomenal about Yuzuru. He’s obviously incredibly talented but there’s something else that just draws you to him. When you watch him skate, you can’t look away, his moves, the emotions, the music he picks all just have this feeling. It’s truly indescribable, I can’t explain how, but he just has this quality about him that pulls you in. His performances always have so much emotion, wether it was back in his earlier pro years where you could just feel the youthful energy he had. A bit reckless but so fun. Or now where he hasn’t lost that but there’s a more refined and mature touch. Experience and calmness he has. The emotional pieces he’s chosen to do always make me feel like I want to cry watching them. He’s absolutely the GOAT of this generation.

I only realised after Yuzuru's performance about the connection between the title of the song and the choreography, reading someone's comment here. The title apparently translates to 'Oh spring, come'. So now, I am even more in awe with his artistry and what he transmitted throughout his performance. And the moment of kissing the snow now makes even more sense with the theme of the song, but also shows such a pure love he holds for ice, for skating.
This is rightfully one of the reasons he is so loved, his immense power to fully immerse into a song and bring it to life with such unique, intense emotion.
No matter the scores, his passion, emotion, his everything, he is on such a different level. So happy to be able to watch him and cheer for him. Appreciating all the skaters and their performances, but he is simply something else.

I watched Yuzuru Hanyu's performance in this gala exhibition on TV and it was the first time I was so moved watching figure skatings. I'm not really into figure skatings but at that moment I was so emotional somehow. Having the same nationality as him is so lucky. I'm so proud of him

I really appreciate all the skaters and their amazing gala routines. But honestly Yuzuru Hanyu's just showed his heart and how beautiful and precious it is. There's no one like him... Nobody can quite skate like Hanyu. He understands the music so well. I always look forward to his Gala performances, it never fails to make me cry.
still can't stop watching yuzuru's part.. he really skates with all his heart and we can all see how much passion he has for the sport. i myself is a figure skater but i don't think i can make it to the olympics LMAO. i love yuzuru's spirit and he helped me believe what true passion is.
