i still can't get over how fucking creative this music and dance is. like all the historical influences are obvious but it's so totally unique, and both the dance and music crystallised into something so wildly futuristic and unique. what a cultural moment
this is what people need you know? like dance is so positive and its a family. no matter who you are battling, you have respect and love for everyone. no weapons no hate just sowing what you got. repect to all the dancers. love from Cali.
@@dboyedoe i'm confused bro, i'm white, that guy is mixed, do they just segregate the light skinned from the dark skinned in these ghettos and call them white? XDDD
@@cj-vp9rf No offense, you must not be from America. He's jokingly referring to him as a white boy because he is a black man of lighter complexion. Spinn and Lightbulb are friends, and it's being said to poke fun at him.
Not to take away from this awesome originality I just discovered, but footwork reminds me a bit of men's Native American fancy dance style. Look it up and see the footwork, while it's more straightforward, the speed is about the same and it's all based on a Native American drum beat. Footwork is awesome and as a Native American I give this props because of it's uniqueness and how it just sorta came about in a local scene. Very cool.
creekandseminole that’s a fact. There are quite a few traditional African dances that share the same cadences and footwork as traditional Native American dances. As a fan of hip hop dance styles I love to see different styles from different regions and the similarities they share. There’s a lot of elements in footwork that are in jookin(Memphis), the down the way(Cincinnati), and old school pop locking
I think we'll start hearing a lot more elements of footwork in hip hop in the next five or ten years, if not sooner. Lately I've been looking for ways to incorporate it into my own beats and instrumentals. I don't think trap will last much longer... Producers will start looking for something new, something more complex.. and I think this is it.
"trap" is a southern sub genre of drug rap music..."footwork" is a form of Chicago house music...mixing footwork with hip hop will dissolve their uniqueness...on the other hand "Newjackswing" which is a house form of early hip hop, when hip hop had a dance scene would be like the footwork-hip hop equivalent...which is like the pop-hiphop garbage today...you dont want a genre to get water down hip hop already is.
Syaheicereeze Xanderxindershin Japan has really taken juke far. crazy ass time signatures and out-there rhythms. a lot its more for just listening to tho
I miss when the savages use to dress like that. Now they all wear designer and tight as clothes acting like rappers when they live in section 8 housing. #RIPtheOGs
