This video was made by a fan, Sensei Music Videos. Stunning.
Its a masterpiece! :D
They deserve an oscar
Good, someone said it already 😉
This masterpiece came out of the brain of a metalhead. Who knows what gems we are about to receive in the future from this humble genius.
recent interview he said "i don't know if i am a metalhead, maybe a little".
Can't wait for Auri II
Well in about 2 years we'll know 😍
Skillful people can do everything, but true genius' excel only in things they arent perfect, but want to be.
"A slap in the face and a message of hope"....that is: the best review of this album i`ve heard so far.....👍
After i heard every NW Album, Auri and The Life And Time Of Scrooge McDuck .... i know only thing ... i fu... love Thuomas music
Bigtime Ditto
Can't wait for Auri 2
The beauty of Tuomas' genius is that it is unconstrained. He goes where his muse and his soul leads him. This leaves some behind, but that is to be expected. The entire album - both CDs - is a masterpiece, and Tuomas stands easily in the company of modern composers like Sibelius and Nielsen, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Karl Orff, Hans Zimmer and Thomas Bergersen. The second CD in particular is breathtaking and at times exquisitely, heartbreakingly beautiful.
The first time I heard Ad Astra it yanked the tears from me. Like I wasn't expecting to bawl but I did hard I had to pull over as I was driving when listening to it.
Gets me every time
I hear ya, I was at work when I listened to it and I was just bawling, had to go to the bathroom. I was sobbing. It hit home, I’m Mexican and living abroad, when I watched the official video I was like…. I can’t. I was just completely broken. But hopeful at the same time. It still gets me and will forever do. I lost bité Jen they played it in both shows of the live stream.
Check out the official Nightwish version of Ad Astra, this video here is a Tuomas approved fan version. The Nightwish version is good, kind of carries on the message of Procession imo.
When the album was made there was only the music. A fan gave Tuomas the visuals. It fits and we are thankful.
Amazing team effort :)
"Science...entered the building again."
Viking, you're the best, you know that
Huge Thanks to the fan who made this video to the music!
Jeder in seinem Part excellent !!!
Vielen Dank dafür !
I do not understand why people do not like this side of the cd, i love love love it, great reaction Viking as always. Groetjes uit Schiedam
Who the hell told u they didn't like it

@@nimwey7701 omg I'm full with tears 😢
I have found a RUclipsr named Amanda Webster who has a channel dedicated to mental health and says she is a suicide survivor. Her reactions to Poet and the Pendulum and Dead Boys Poem were amazingly accurate. She has Q&A s with guests about mental health and much more. Well worth looking into.
No matter where in the world you live, this was our back yard, we must remember and replant. The earth needs us to remember.
Agreed!
I usually listen this from cd I bought or while driving. If I see any video, then I feel I see someone elses mind, those are not products of my mind what I might see while hearing all these wonderful sounds. So I say, close your eyes and let your mind take you where ever it goes without any pictures. You can do it. Try.
Thank you for taking us along on your journey through this album! It's been a blast, "see you" tomorrow at the Islander's Arms! :)
She says : "calme comme la neige" which is the litteral traduction of this part ;)
Moors remind me of Outlander too! 😁
And this whole second album is just pure emotion. ❤️
This video is a work of art. The second part of the album is my absolute favorite. It makes me feel all sorts of emotions like noting else. The whole thing is perfection.
This album is my favorite!!! Nuff Said !!!
This album, and especially this CD is a masterpiece! I too grew up with a huge garden by my grandparents' house, and my house now is also surrounded by green! There is a reason I hate living in the city I guess.
Can't wait for tomorrow's concert!
if you drink during the video the music with the chello and the violin makes it so much more sweet or is it just me
During the Quiet as the Snow section, if I am not mistaken, the whispers are repeatedly saying Quiet as the Snow in multiple languages, as I heard French for sure and there seems to be some other Scandinavian language, maybe Swedish, but cannot say for sure.
Yeah I def hear ”stilla som snö” which is swedish
This fan-made video is so stunning, isn't it? Beautiful, gorgous!
Anthropocene is the geological era, when human is the one having the biggest influence on how things go on and what happens to this planet - to this mote of dust, suspended in the sunbeam
The thumbnail, yup, that looks about right. That's me when I saw/listened to this one. I used the fan video there, the one who is in one sitting with gorgeous land scapes
It’s pure emotion I love this side of the album so much
You still have one more to do from new album.
Ad Astra has a official video. It has a special message in it..
Are you doing ok?, Missing your reactions, hope all is well cheer's.🤟
Yes, I am doing just fine. Thanks for asking! I have a new job which is taking up a lot of energy due to its complexity and the studies that are involved. I will be back once things settle down a bit :)
@@VikingReacts Ok, thanks for replying, take care and see you soon all the best from Australia.😊
this entire composition reminds me of this verse from the Gospel of John. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16
Got tickets for both nights! So excited!!
Sooooo beautiful ❣️❣️❣️
Favorite parts: the green and quiet as the snow.
The whispers are quiet as the snow in other languages.
The Frasers are in the States now 😁
Yesss, at the concert tomorrow 😃
What a Masterpiece from Tuomas. I want to hear and see it at an Opera House, with amazing acoustic. 🤗
Such a coincidence, I was just watching Outlander when this video was uploaded so I paused it to watch this instead, therefore I obviously got the reference during Moors haha
...Yup, that looks about right.
Viking, I always look forward to your Nightwish videos. I think I have seen them all. This album got some bad reviews early on because it was different. But different has turned out to be a new direction and is fantastic. It doesn't mean that all subsequent albums will necessarily follow suit. My only expectation is that Tuomas will do it again, another amazing production. Nature is beauty. I have a few places I go and just park the car, turn the engine and radio and cell off, and sit or maybe walk around.
Helen Mira. National treasure
Love the last song n ending with floors angelic voice
Stock video footage has never been used better. Change my mind.
Thank you Viking for this reaction. It was a pleasure sharing it with you...goosebumps... the whole time. Enjoy the concerts this weekend! Oh..I forgot..at 18.17.. Outlander!!
The text in the first part is from Lord Byron....
The Pale Blue Dot in Ad Astra is from Carl Sagan
When i see all this beauty its just a harsh reminder of how hard mankind sucks ..We where not deserving of this world ...
Because of the end of this masteriece I hope you were at the virtual show tonight.
I admit I cried...
It was just too beautiful.
I was there. Most certainly ;)
Thank you that you took us with you through this journey! a lot of Outlander vibes with the bagpipes, the moor and the rocks on the mountain reminded me of the first episode. Hopefully see you tomorrow!
Would love to play this to my elderly residents.
Hope you’re ok brother. It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve seen a new video from you. Wishing you the best. Enjoy your content.
Just Gorgeous! Bet Tuomas loved "Baraka," "Powaqqatsi" and "Koyaanisqatsi." ••• Thanks, Viking. Peace! (-:
Siempre termino llorando cuando escucho esto ;; ❤ obra maestra ❤❤❤❤❤
You should definitely do reaction to - Nightwish - Elvenjig & elvenpath from Buenos Aires 💪
We have to take care of the garden.
Ah yes,,, The Green.... Gorgeous. Indeed, we live in a paradise. Not all the paradise occupants seem to realize or care though. To say it in a Nightwish way: There's too much Noise distracting us from the beautiful things ion our planet.
Moments of disappointment confirmed my last comment about watching the video vs. just listening, but I still like you, Viking. The video is unofficial, fan-made, and yes indeed it is amazing.
The first 7 push and pull me up, down, and all around. Ad Astra picks me up by the chest when Floor and Troy join.
simply beautiful
so wonderful - both the video and the music - thank you for the reaction
I´m sitting here with tears in my eyes and ghoosebumbs all over my body. This video and your reaction is really beautiful. Especially the part with the nearly extinct animals is where touching.
Sorry for my bad english but I´m from Germany. Can you speak german? I didnt know that you were raised in Germany. Very cool :-)
My writing skills are poor now as I have been away for a while now. But I understand it perfectly fine. Talking German is OK as well but it takes some to get back into it. Once I've had some practice... you won't be able to hear that I am not German ;). I am glad you liked the video! Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten mal;)
10K on the crosstrainer while watching the reaction . Awesome
please do "how's the heart" live acoustic video reaction next
I tried to purchase a ticket as well for the concert, but the options to pay from Holland wasn't clear for me unfortunately. So I have to watch your reaction at the concert tomorrow as well.
My rickets for tomorrow are already registered, so i have to wait ... and so i am waiting and watch NW reactions .... and yours are good ones
It's the first reaction I see to this masterpiece, so beautiful, so deep and so powerful.
It make me think a lot on who we are and what we are doing to this amazing planet, our home.
Also the images are absolutely amazing.
Thank you Viking for this awesome reaction, and see you tomorrow at the Islanders Arms, I can't wait to see this show.
Thanks
Thank you too. Great
You like this kind of music - and brass?
If you're not already familiar with Hans Zimmer's film scores, check them out - he really likes to use brass in his compositions.
Doesn't have to be a reaction, maybe just for yourself.
I can recommend for example Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, The Lion King, The Dark Knight Trilogy and of course Inception (the piece "Time" from Inception is a must, in my opinion one of his best pieces).
Thomas Bergersen is also worth a listen. Look up Two Steps From Hell. Tuomas and Thomas seem to be on a similar arc of musical development and maturity.
@@WardDorrity Yep, love him/them too!
The new album is on the way
The Moors "Outlander"
U made me cry 😢
OOh, you did the video I talked about yesterday :D Yay!
Steffix did an excellent video with the song Greatest show on Earth. I recommend you guys watch it, Viking included. Turn off your lights before you do and fullscreen :)
Loved your donation info ❤
Inspired by Chase Carneson :). I stress the fact that my channel is for my own musical exploration. So... want to do actual good... there's the way to do it ;)
Just logged into the show. No chat yet
if there is one song that i haven't seen on your channel yet to react to, it's Eivor - Trollabundin. in my opinion one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard.
As a Viking you REALLY have to react to Feuerschwanz. I'd recommend Feuerschwanz ft. Melissa Bonny - DING for starters!
Het fluisteren is de titel ‘quiet as the snow’ in meerder verschillende talen.
marco is music mind
They say in different language 'the silence of the snow'. Pretty sure I heard de stilte van de sneeuw, also sure I heard German and English. There's probably also a Scandinavian one in there I haven't heard yet.\
You were looking for James and Claire Fraser. I was looking for Connor MacLeod and Heather.
Connor MacLeod from the clan MacLeod. There can be only one :)
🖤🤘🔥
Agreed!
A belated welcome to the tribe of tearshedding bearded men.
This one gets me every time.
You should check out Tuomas' solo project: Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge.
Missing you you coming back?
Wow! It's all I can say and nothing else would do it justice! Stunning visuals, wonderful music
Thank you for being my guide through this album, can't wait to see more from you
And I hope that virtual concert was incredible Viking

You should react to one by brothers of metal :)
NIGHTWISH ARMY NYC DIVISION REPORTING!!
The images fit so well, it's not the official video (there is one only for Ad Astra part) but it should be, even Tuomas approved
See you in the Livestream!
Where are you? We need you!
I am right here... and about to be back ;)
@@VikingReacts Good.

Tuomas for President of the World?
Is There every Thing wat Toumas not can do on this Point .
Viking-brother, I'm disappointed at you. You promised a lot of pausing. There was almost non ;)
On a serious note though, I have a suggestion to you. It could possibly be a healing thing for you.
Go to Germany this summer. Go back to the forrest in the backyard of the place where you had such god memories. Find your favorite spot and stay there for hours until you find a peaceful place in your mind and body.
It might remind you of some hurtful things as well, but from what I saw in the reaction, it was a good place for you.
Best wishes in your recovery my dear Viking-brother!
Much Love
please validate the subtitles. Thanks :)
Are you ok?
Made me so sad. We are idiots, murdering our Mother.
Who is cutting onions?? 😪
It wasn't me... but damn where are those ninjas?!
I have no idea. Love your reactions. Kepp it up. Honestly everytime when you shed a tear in these videos I shed a tear as well. I know what you feel because I had depression as we'll. Greetings from Romania. Peace brother
Where did you go? How's it going?
No worries ;). I have been swamped with work after a year of recovery from burn out and depression. Taking one day at a time until I have some energy. I will be back ;)
@@VikingReacts I totally get it. My best wishes to you. 👩🏻🎤

Echt hoor, méér kan ik Tuomas niet bewonderen. Wat die man allemaal in zijn hoofd heeft en er op deze briljante, muzikale manier uit laat komen...
We don`t see what we have , untill it is too late! That is what we have become . We don`t deserve to be here!
