I feel trapped because I am a highly sensitive and creative person, stuck in a very negative 9-5 job with people shouting at me practically every day, so all my creativity and good mood are gone. I've tried finding a solution and be strategic like you've mentioned and have a plan B, that's not working and I don't see how being myself or believing in myself is going to help me at all in this, when I can't even be myself in this environment. Youve answered your own questions! You need to quit the job! No way would I stay in work now where people shout at me day in day out. If its customer service, find a different customer service job. (Retail is usually pretty chill btw). You are not stuck. If you keep thinking you are stuck it'll be what keeps you stuck. You may need to make a big change, like relocating somewhere that job prospects are better. But if you know something is sucking the life from you - ffs, change that.
@minim3494 thanks, I've thought about this and tried to find ways to quit, but I can't find an alternative and I'm not entitled to benefits so I'll basically starve if I do. I've already relocated, it's still hard, but I'll figure it out eventually...Literally trying to find a better job for a year now...Thanks though. 💖🙏
