Shiofune Kannonji Temple is a special head temple of the Shingon sect Daigo school in Shiobune, Ome City, Tokyo, and is located on Mt. The "Azalea Festival" and "Hiwatari Arayuki", where about 20,000 azaleas are in full bloom, are famous. The origin is the Taika era (645-650). It is said that Yaohioka Nun enshrined Senju Kannon, and during the Tenpyo era (729-749), a high priest, Gyoki Bosatsu, stopped by here and the surrounding terrain resembled a ship, so the Buddha was a sentient being. It is said that it was named after the "Sentient Ship", which is a ship with a big wish to save.
