Hi Elisa. First I hope your dad is doing well. I’m so very sorry you are going thru so much lately, you & your dad will be in my thoughts & prayers. On a happier note, I recently purchased the multi strap bag in this beautiful Floating plum pansies print . I wasn’t going to however it was playing on me long after I got the very small triple zip cross body which is not my usual style bag since it is so small. Enjoy your beautiful bags.
Prayers for your dad and also for you. I have been through the same type of situation before with my dad so I can relate to what your going through. I packed my Vera's up and spent hours at the hospital as well. I definitely pray for health and healing in Jesus name 🙏 ❤️. I love your channel and your knowledge and opinions on Vera Bradley. Take care
I know how much you have on your plate emotionally, physically, a lot. Take care. It’s a long road for you and your dad. My dad always just wants to go home and gets very frustrated. Take care and I hope he’s able to get going with rehab. I love Floating Plum Pansies and don’t understand why it was short lived and replaced with a similar pattern. The work tote looks like a nice bag. Thanks for checking in!!
Thanks for taking the time to give us a look at ur FPP . So funny u mentioned the flowers reminding u of carnations because that was my thought as well. I really wanted something in it from oos but I passed. Just seeing yours I'm now regretting that decision, oh well. I love ur scarf it's so pretty I'm guessing u made it. Hearts n prayers for u and ur dad ⚘🐞🌷
Thank you for pointing out the creaking of straps on the metal hinges-bc that is A Thing for me, what with my sensory issues. See, this is the kind of detail that makes YT videos like yours so helpful to those of us considering which style item to buy, and trying to make choices we won't regret (bc there was some feature/factor that they don't mention in the official info. about the bag, bc they wouldn't think it would matter to folks...but it does, at least to some of us).
As always I enjoyed your video Alisa. You and your dad are in my prayers and glad he is doing better. Those bags are so pretty. That pattern floating plum pansies remind me of the small Vera tote that I have in Mayfair in bloom in performance twill. I know you stay busy with your dad but whenever you can keep the videos coming. Take care of yourself as well and God bless you. 😊👜🌺👛💕
Thank you so much. I’m so sorry for the delayed response-it’s been an overwhelming time for me with my dad. But hopefully things will keep improving. Happy New Year!
My dad was one to always knew he needed to go to the doctors. I know rare. But he was also stubborn on top of that. Sending prayers to you and your dad.
Love your videos! Also loving the performance twill - I just bought the Floating Plum Pansies from the sale in the Vera Tote(s). Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad. 🙏❤️🙏
Very glad to hear your Dad is on the mend! 💜😊 When my Dad was really sick in the hospital my Mom and I caught the brunt of his grumpiness, too. So I can relate. 😊 I hope your Dad continues to make a super speedy recovery and that you keep hold of your sanity through all of it! 💜😊 TFS all the goodies, too!
I’m so sorry for the delayed response-it’s been an overwhelming time for me with my dad. But he’s back home now, so that’s an improvement. Happy New Year!
So sorry to hear about your Dad! I know how frustrating it can be, as I have a stubborn Father myself, and how helpless and scared it can make you feel. Hope he recovers quickly. Love the bags!
I'm so glad that you got your dad to the hospital and that he's improving. I'm praying for both of you. I know it's a lot to go through. The worrying itself can be really draining. Take good care of yourself too. Your Plum Pansies bag is so pretty...I completely missed the release of that. I'll have to check the Paper Store and see if I can find something. I love those colors! Oh, I just checked...Paper Store has a lot of items, but Amazon is much cheaper. Thanks for showing that pattern! :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. You have a lot on your plate. I assume you are an only child. My friend once told me, at least when you have siblings you can be angry at someone else for not doing more 😆 It's clear how much you look out for your dad. I hope by now he's been transferred to a rehab and perhaps a bit less irritable. Men are tough patients. BTW-It takes me double the time to watch your videos because I often want to google something you've said. Today I learned about gouache painting. How cool!
Men are very stubborn about not wanting to see a doctor. So glad you took charge and called the ambulance! Rehab is good, so in time he will be home. I have the Performance Twill Small Vera Tote Bag, Cabbage Rose Cabernet. The trim gives totes their elegance. I have a huge tote, the Venetian paisley pattern with trimmings and plenty of details. I miss the old fabrics (non-recycle cotton, cheap). I am using the Venetian now. I limited the recycle cotton to five patterns. If you folded all your many bags you might find a nook in your bedroom, even in bins under the bed or purchasing an armoire in the future, so they can be near you and not in other storage area. Never tire of seeing the Bloom Boom, favorite of mine, such a lovely pattern. Thanksgiving is next week. You will be busy. I hope you will enjoy a joyous Thanksgiving and that your dad improves soon, at least he had the surgery and that is wonderful. Show your winter/Christmas stuff someday, my favorite season. LOL. Thank you for posting.
Elisa, regarding your dad’s not eating, when my elderly father was in that situation, I brought milkshakes to the hospital for him. He never exactly finished them but even half did the trick. I noticed that eating, he’d chew and chew and chew the smallest thing…it was exhausting for him and he didn’t want it anyway. The milkshake slid down easily. Then when my mom was in that situation, she told me she looked at the food and was repelled and again, chew chew chew which was exhausting for a weak person so again, I brought the milkshakes. When my friend’s elderly mother was in that situation and wouldn’t eat or again, chew chew chew to exhaustion, I told him about the milkshakes and he jumped right on it (her favorite was strawberry I think) and he actually gives me credit for her recovery…high praise coming from him since he is a doctor himself!! 😂..anyway, if your dad is able, you might want to give it a try…GOOD LUCK! NOW I’M GOING TO GO BACK AND CONTINUE WATCHING YOUR VIDEO!
I’m so sorry for the delayed response-it’s been an overwhelming time for me with my dad. But thank you for this suggestion. Luckily he’s eating much better now. Hopefully I’ll be able to do another video soon and maybe an update on my dad. Happy New Year and thanks so much for watching!
hello from upstate of NY 🙂 Hope your Dad is doing ok. I have been inspired by your videos and actually bought a couple of VB wallets and bags. Do you have a plan to make a video on Performance Twill Triple Zip Shoulder Satchel Purse? I saw them at a local store in person but I'm curious how you like it.
Just a thought, re: your larger laptop not fitting inside the PT Work Tote. Might it fit in the Factory style Ultralight Work Tote ? I ask bc I have that bag-don't have the retail version of Work Tote, but the listed measurements make it seem narrower than the Factory UL one-which is 17.5" w x 12" h x 6.5" d. Would that be big enough (of course the laptop sleeve within is going to be a bit smaller than full width of the bag) for your bigger laptop ? Maybe worth checking that out... or is the issue that the new laptop is taller, in which case my suggestion is probably not useful bc UL Work Tote is about same height as PT retail one. There's also the retired Factory Style Dual Compartment Travel bag, (18" w x 13.5" h x 7'"d) which is huge & has a laptop sleeve built in...but you may find that just too massive and bulky.
My thoughts & prayers are with you & your father. ❤️🙏❤️

Love the reusable bags they really cut down on plastic waste pollution! Great thing to have in your beautiful bag!
