His vocals have always been superb. I've heard some great singers performing Bridge Over Troubled Water over the years, but John's version of it is by far the best I've ever heard. With every cover he does, he makes it his own, and does it better than anyone else in the world. John Farnham is the very best of the best.
You have a beautiful warmth to your voice. Because you are a singer, you fully appreciate the talent of John Farnham. If you get the chance, have a listen to him perform When The War Is Over in his 2003 Last Time concert. He’s around 54, singing live and will hit notes you will cry over.
Thank you so much for your reaction and for loving John’s talent as much as we do. ❤ John is an absolute legend with golden vocals…he can sing just about anything and kill it. There is a reason that our John has been a superstar for the last 60 years and why we here in Australia love him so much. A down to earth bloke who just gives his all when he sings, a bloke who gives everything in every single performance but chose to stay home here in Aus with his wife and family instead of changing to comply to fit in with what the US record companies wanted from him. ❤ John was and will always be a phenomenal singer but we have to give massive kudos to Glenn Wheatley for taking an absolutely massive risk on John….for mortgaging his entire life and savings to produce the Whispering Jack album… if not for that phenomenal single act of friendship, John’s voice would have probably faded into obscurity instead of becoming one of the most iconic voices to come out of Australia. ❤ Glenn… though you are gone now, we will always remember you, not just for your support of John, but for your contribution to Aussie music during your lifetime. ❤
Australia’s National Treasure! An amazing natural talent! Farnham is now 73 and a survivor of mouth cancer-he is now cancer free. I pray, at some point, he will be able to sing again. Meanwhile, Brad, check out David Phelps’ recent release of this very same song!
AussieDebb - guessing you saw the Family photos of Robs wedding that have been on the TV, so lovely to see John again, ... and I have his book on pre-order,
@@jayneattherock1083 certainly did - just so good to see his beautiful face and his smile. So happy for him that he was healthy to see Robbie get married. ❤😂🎉
Nice one Brad, thank you. It only happens once in a lifetime when a performer can capture your heart and it lasts your entire life. I'm so happy that person for me, is John. He makes me feel like I'm still 16. ❤ I like your song Brad 👍 and please feel free to react to more John😁
This was from a TV show in Australia The Don Lane Show, he was an American who was a huge supporter of John's in those early days....Due to bad management John could not get any air play and was always referred to as a 'gimicky' singer etc. But thankfully his best mate started to manage him and even mortgaged his home to produce his first big hit album, He's an Aussie Legend and much loved ..
Yes it's great how Graeham really respected John's talents, especially after producing Uncovered. No wonder he wanted him to join LRB when Glenn left. Love our John and so happy to see the published photos of him today at Robbie's wedding. 😂
Great voice for a singing competition. It would be pointless to try to copy Art Garfunkel since Art's original recording is so iconic. Farnham wisely takes the song in another direction and does very well with it.
Maybe…but just remember there were two of them to harmonise but John is solo and still killed it with his vocal ability. Not to mention that this was very early in his career….
Dimash is flat out boring. Don’t care how freakishly flexible his voice is. My shoe has more personality and stage presence. John never needed choreography, a stage show or rehearsed theatrics, he’s in the moment and makes sure you’re there with him.
No singing lessons, just all natural genius ♥️
Absolutely! No autotune needed for our John! ❤
@@Cyannah117 That's a definite and he can't lipsync because he forgets the words too much LOL!!!
I agree...I've known John was "special" for around 60 years. Honey to the ears. Just love him.💞
Phenomenal vocals. Spectacular rendition.
No argument from me. Definatley one of the best in the world. People across the world are finally starting to realise this.
Yep…about 40-60 years too late 😂❤
I grew up listening to John Farnham....... I thought it was normal..... NOW I listen and love him more and more.

Just stunning. One of best voices ever

What a great voice you have.
Beautiful ❤
Hiya Kappy ❤
The absolute G.O.A.T.. John was 30 here and love this performance by him . Thanks Brad ❤😂🎉

Thankyou for reacting to 'The Voice' - love the way he thanks the audience and thanks the pianist, - I also enjoyed listening to your own song -

Have you heard him sing Granada - comedy/opera with Anthony Warlow 1998?
Oh, how beautiful your 'Nights Like These' song. Sung beautifully, emotion-filled words that speak to my heart. Thank you.
John's range was about 3 octaves. He diws duet with Anthony Warlow of Granada that was sung by Pavarotti
Great application reaction bud
Well ...how good is he. Yeah this was unknown, only in our memories, till Graeham Goble put it on RUclips. Unbelievable.

I think see on another on he was 18 or 20 yrs old doing this
Don Lane show, 22nd November 1979, so John would have been 30,

Not a patch on the original Simon & Garfunkel version

Rubbish! You may prefer them singing it but to say John's rendition is "not a patch" is just just dumb 🤡
