For some reason: I enjoy fast paced big bang jazz more than relaxing. It helps me sleep more because it's harder to really concentrate on every note and "listen" because it's such a blend of so many things happening at once that I get lost and it puts me to sleep. God I love jazz

From about age 6 to 10 I used my mom's Doo-wop and R&B mixtapes to fall asleep I used to get so stumped in the morning trying to remember what exact song was the last one I was awake for, and then playing them again in daytime was a new experience when I get to the songs I slept through. I miss those old cassettes

Every time I listen to Jazz, I always have this picture in my head ... me and my friends somewhere in a New York jazz bar. We're all wearing pork pie hats, suits, ties, and trench coats just having a good time. The people are at the bar, laughing, socialising, enjoying the jazz music, smoking cigars, and sippin' on some Whiskey.

I am 15 years old, the last year I was first exposed to jazz and started liking it, right now I am about to get a degree in harmony, I am a sax, guitar, piano player. And just started to collect Jazz vinyls. Jazz brought me to where I am, and I can only imagine where could it lead me in the future.

@@lewisluongrelaxation Well thanks, today happens to be my birthday, and I just got John Coltrane's - Blue Train LP can't wait to hear it out. I left digital and dedicated myself to vinyl. Not that it's higher quality, but I just like the feel of it, you know, having all your LP's in one place, cleaning them out, switch from side A to side B, most things that people in age my will never understand, as they think LPs are a thing of the past, which is unfortunate. For everybody reading this, take the time necessary to appreciate the effort that the artist put into this. Don't take it for granted. Music isn't just Frequencies, its passion, effort, an expression form.

God i wish i could spend at least one christmas in a temperate region that has winter and snow during december. The lights of the tree look so much less exciting when everything is burning at 40°C. And when you wake up here in Brazil instead of seeing a pleasant snowfall during the morning you get the sun of the doom hitting your face like the death star being about to explode the planet. There is no vibe when you spend christmas shirtless instead of using cozy sweaters
My boyfriend and I both met in band a while ago and he had always wanted to be in a big jazz band. While in school he played the trumpet, and at home he played piano. Great respect for playing two instruments. We eventually had gotten into a jazz band at some jazz bar and he played mostly trumpet and I took the saxophone. Best time ever ngl
Edit: we broke up and he stopped playing trumpet and I stopped playing saxophone and started playing the clarinet. I no longer work at the jazz bar but I’m in a small classical group.
