That is the best pronunciation of English loan words, I've heard.
lol
Its because this video was taken in Metro Manila where its quite cosmopolitan.. if you go to the provinces, the loan word pronunciations get more raw lol:
Fashion designer = PESYUN DISAYNEER
Successful = SAK-SIS-POOL
Astronaut = ano daw?
Its because of the social circles the people in this video were
@@oparasatauwaya AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA
Such easy and ordinary words though
I'm surprised how much English they use..?? Like A LOT wasn't expecting that. Usually you'll maybe hear a word or so like "post" for social media but this amount is crazy! Hopefully they preserve their language very well ! 💪💪
When we speak our pure language without mixing English it's like , we're living in ancient times😭hahahah
@@feralgallom4723 True dat.
@@feralgallom4723 thats sad to be honest. Be proud of your language
We were colonised by the Spanish for 400 years, then by America until WW2. Hence the mix of spanish and english words in tagalog
I'm a Mexican and I'm in love with this language, ever since I watched Drag Race Philippines and Drag Den, I got really interested to learn the language, still don't know why, but maybe someday I could travel to the Philippines and make new friends 😄
Well, I'm Pilipino and I'm in love with your language, because I like the way it sound!!😊
This is literally me after I met one filipino person 😂😭🗣🥳
Please keep going on this series, I'm the number one fan of Easy Filipino
sounds much better when they use Spanish words than English words. Spanish flows much better with Tagalog
Miri M tumapak
English is one of the official languages there
Philippines speaking Spanish again.
¡Que sueño!
Tanginano
I agree. English has a too big sound inventory. Spanish isn't as big and fits to Tagalog better.
I feel like anyone can learn the language only from such videos.. it's so simple I love it
“Maging astronaut.”
“Bakit astronaut?”
“Kasi gusto kong makaalis sa mundong ito.”
Well god damn 💀
Man... They're so good at English, although Filipino isn't Indo-European language! I envy them...
it's called Taglish, or Englog and it's very common en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taglish
English is just a simple language to learn compared to many others honestly.
Indo european category fails because filipino or tagalog has been changed by spanish and americans
@@KBT_Productions not by much. its still squarely an Austronesian language. just with loanwords from Indo-European languages.
@@oparasatauwaya thats what I meant
Girl at 3:20 is obviously more comfortable speaking in English. Her accent gives it out.
Filipinos have a lot of English in their language because the Philippines was an American colony for 40 years after Spain ceded the Philippines to the U.S. in 1898.
They learn english to become OFW aka slave of other countries LOL
"...to eat this hotdog." lmaoooo I felt that one.
hahahaha
Taglish is our national language 💯
i just don't understand they mix spanish and english in filipino ? beautiful peoples btw
Junior Santos American influence lol. We often mix, filipino-english and spanish. so yeah ..
Those "Spanish" words have been part of the Filipino language for hundreds of years; that's like asking why do English speakers use Latin or French words! As for the English loan words they're slowly becoming part of the language; who's to say how long it should take for foreign words to be considered part of the language?
no
we often used english because some of use ddnt exactly know how to translate it in filipino hahaha
We were colonised by the Spanish for 400 years, then the Americans until WW2. That is why
Are there any rules for which English words can be used in Tagalog, or can you just throw them in whenever you feel like it?
It depends as long as it will be understandable for those who will listen to you
the latter. especially when u're struggling in finding the exact word/s in Tagalog, u can just say it in English so that the communication is smooth, easy, and understandable.
Filipinos really behave like latinos, that's awesome!
colonised by spain !
not so awesome
Not so awesome!!!
No we don’t
Anong pangarap mo sa buhay?
*"Kainin tong hotdog'*
This one was good because there wasn't as much code-switching as some of the previous videos. Just curious though, do profession names in Tagalog not exist? They seem to say all the professions in English
they exist but we hardly use it because it's easy to understand in english
they do but one profession would be equivalent to 3 sentences in English lol. so we prefer shorter English forms
Carl Mac They exist. They are mostly written in Filipino literature and Formal letters. The English terms are used for casuality.
Doctor - Doktor/Manggagamot
Engineer - Inhinyero
Carpenter - Karpintero/Anluwage
Nurse - Nars
Businessman - Negosyante
Scientist - Siyentipiko
Teacher - Guro/Titser
Writer - Manunulat
Architect - Arkitekto
The list goes on, though
Most professions are spanish words
"code switching", now I know this guy's American
When he said "ingat" in the end of the video, I thought he was tell us to remember. Because in Indonesia, "ingat" is "to remember"😅
It's just Tagalog not Filipino (they're even Manileños). I really wish there would be a language reform.( Easy language to make it easy for all Filipinos to learn.)
What's the difference between tagalog and filipino? Btw i'm indonesian
@@lrfankamil tagalog language is the foundation of filipino language and usually spoken in manila
@@lrfankamiltagalog in purest form is a different language all through out it. If you remove the Spanish loanwords (to be fair that's almost impossible) and English loan words. Some pure tagalog speakers can be found in Bulacan/Nueva Ecija/Cavite/Laguna/Batangas and they all have unique dialects but it is still tagalog and the hardest dialect is probably Batangeño dialect. Filipino is Standardized tagalog that has Spanish loan words and English loan words embedded in our Vocabulary and it's thought as a subject t the entire country of Philippines. For a comparison Chinese Mandarin(Beijing dialect) is the standard form that is thought mandatorily in the entire country of china. Another example is Italian there are many languages in Italy but the standard italian is thought using Florentine dialect.
It feels somehow weird to hear them use some words that are more unusual to hear on a daily conversation
Pangarap ko = filipino
Harapan ku = indonesia
Hadapan is front in malay
harapan is inforn in tagalog
Harap or harapan means "front" in Filipino:
Harapan ko = In front of me.
Pangarap ko = My dream.
@@oparasatauwaya harap is wish in indonesia
the filipino word for “FUTURE is “HINAHARAP”. and “dreams” or “pangarap” is what you want to achieve in the future. so there’s your relationship with Indonesian and Filipino languages.
A Filipino here currently learning German. I had just finished watching an Easy German video before I went to ruminate here, and this is my significant observation so far.
If you ask a German the same question, they may most probably give you a precise and definitive answer, i.e. "I want to be an accountant, a teacher, a businessman, etc". Filipinos on the other hand gives quite vague, ambiguous answer, i.e. "I want to be successful (at which f**kin' field they want to be successful?), I want to be happy (happy in what f**kin' way?), and the worst of all, "I don't know/I'm not sure."
This does show that while Germans are more particular and goal-oriented, Filipinos on the other hand often live only in the present. While being present and focusing on the 'here and now' is a virtue, a lack of a "definite", I mean "clear and precise", long-term goal may give us no firm direction as to what we really want in life.
I am working as an informal educator, or an ALS teacher as we call it here, thus I have lots of interactions with folks in the grassroots. This is what I usually hear from them. A lot of Filipinos typically live in the whims of fate and circumstances, with no clear vision as to where they want to go. Result, they stop school out of just lack of interest, get married early, and have children, until they realize they can longer think for their own selves and easily decide to pursue their own dreams and passions because they already have a family to prioritize over themselves. Their lives mainly surround on cheating the daily hurdles of life for their children and families.
Filipino people they are soo nice and friendly
I only came here because I like listening to the language. I love how it sounds.
bakit nila sinasabing “successful”?
Ano ang “successful”?
Tbh english doesn’t flow well with Tagalog. I think Spanish sounds much better with Tagalog because of pronunciation.
1:34 grabe yung sagot niya yung pangarap niya lang sa buhay ay kainin lang yung hotdog😂🤣🤣🤣....
2:56 "Ahh, Tagaloooog" lmao hahahaha
I can't believe how they looked and sound very similar to Indonesian...................... It's feels like they're Indonesian but not Indonesian............ weird.............................
@@somebodysaygabe it's more from the fact that they're all Austronesian Malay
@@somebodysaygabe No you weren't. Keep dreaming.
Because Indonesians came from the Philippines LMAO
looking forward to new videos! 👍😊

Come on its Tagalog not talish
yeah it is Taglish - common language in Manila BTW
Philippines has many languages not only tagalog. This shown in video is just Tagalog
The official language of the Philippines is Filipino which is based on Tagalog
Cool English practice
didnt expect they mixing so many english words directly.
Nabibitin ako sa sagot nila, hindi nila kaya palawakan mga sagot nila
Thank you so much for these videos! But perhaps speak a little slower?
Maybe they can take out some of the one phrase comments, there is some good dialog but I don't want to shift around trying to the bad ones to get to the good ones. The content is not as good as the Spanish version of this.
Hi guys
Is there a big difference between Tagalog and Filipino?
LellePrinter82 i believe 'Filipino' is a blanket term for tagalog or taglish language
LellePrinter82 "Filipino" encompasses all other languages in the Philippines such as Ilocano, Cebuano, Bisaya and Tagalog. Tagalog is only one of the languages. They aren't considered as dialects because they are very distinct from one another.
Pangarap kong mang hold-up 🤣
Spanish, english words mixed
"hindi photoshop" lol
how about a Filipino here in Deutschland make new episodes of these? was denkt euch Cari und Janusz? lmao. :)
maayos

Their language sounds like regurgitation.

Is Filipino the same as Tagalog?
Sam Lovat Tagalog is filipino
Well yes but technically speaking Filipino is the standardized version of Tagalog with Spanish and English loanwords
Same language
SA BENILDE BA TOH HAHA AYOS
1:35 me
Don't they have a word for succesful in tagalog ?
"Matagumpay"
zhan_rand “we find it easy” is not the right term. We’re just not used to saying it. “Matagumpay” is still fairly easy to pronounce unlike “nakakapagpabagabag.”
You can say matagumpay, but it sounds so old fashioned. By the way, matagumpay also means victorious, so there may be no "actual" one-to-one correspondence in Filipino for the word successful
"manamit?" si ateng di sure😂
❤️❤️❤️
very nice hahaha
