The lost articulation is honestly so sad. MGA was a great competitor to Mattel but I'm not into the new changes at all, especially the new dolls coming with slime.
It looks like they are dropping Rainbow High for Bratz, and LOL OMG will probably get fewer dolls, but stay consistent in quality for the most part.
Well RH is still popular with kids. So adult collectors can continue to be negative all they want. MGA knows who their biggest audience is.

They should have just released the slime doll lines as budget friendly dolls and if necessary raised the price point for the fully articulated dolls. They should release a deluxe version of the littles with more articulation I'm sure it would be a hit with collectors.
I hate how they think adding a unnecessary pet makes up for everything it's lacking. No one wants an unrealistic crystal pet.
They're cutting corners, Froggy. I prefer fabric clothes over plastic or sculpted tops with the dolls. If I buy a doll, I want my money's worth.
It's how all doll lines go. They start out great and slowly lose articulation and quality. Then suddenly clothes are molded on. Always happens, and it's always sad

You are far kinder than I, Toya. The second I saw these, I felt a visceral burning hatred the likes of which I had not felt in ages. These are emblematic of everything that has corrupted the once beautiful Rainbow High, and my heart breaks in rage for my once beloved doll brand

Adult Collectors make up the largest share of the toy market by significant margins, and, even if I weren't an adult, children deserve nice toys too.

The quality of the dolls have gone down so much! It's such a shame, they were so pretty and amazing for photography before.
I don't mind less articulation all that much, but the plastic tops with the fabric skirts attached together are DIABOLICAL
Me personally i think the eyebrows on the littles couldve been darker....just my opinion😅

@@Rebecca_Leblannc I know they can’t wear heavy makeup but the eyes could’ve been like the older rainbow high dolls the hair could have better texture and overally I would’ve thought this was a scam doll because of the looks.
I thought that too…the eyebrows and eyelashes generally should match colors. I the the face of the purple braids doll looks the best in this regard.
You’re very kind and diplomatic about these! 😂 I really don’t think they were worth manufacturing at all, imho. They don’t contribute anything that other products aren’t doing better on the market right now, and in fact are worse at it than a lot of the options.
If only we could have had a Littles line that was more like (original) Junior High!

I'm always thankful when you show head-swap options for less articulated dolls. It really helps those of us on a tight doll budget be able to make judgements about what's worth it and what to cut for cost ❤
At least the clothes are not painted on! Why can’t these companies just give us the perfect affordable doll.??They can do it.
i think the monster high budget dolls are pretty good. the regular dolls are around $25, and budget ones are $17 with full articulation except the chest joint, fabric clothes and accessories and clean/neat face screenings

While it *is* limiting for play/photography, I *do* love the peace symbol hands. I would have been SO hyped to have a doll with those hands as a kid, rather than the more neutrally posed hands that dolls tended to have.
There are some dolls that come with hands with different poses so you can change them!
i know toya hates those little RH pets but i love them! they’re like beautiful crystal figures i’d love to add them to my doll room

I doubt I will buy this set of dolls but when they are photoed with their older sisters, they did look super cute.
I`m really annoyed of all the things, MGA did to their dollline. They were my first dolls to collect as an adult and i know, they are not made for grown ups like me...but the shops around where i llive don`t buy the new dollstuff of Rainbow High anymore so it mustn`t be only my low feelings about all the change. The little ones faces are sweet but all that platic is a total no go for me.
You’re the best for reviewing this! The quality drop has been sad lately so these videos really help decide when things are a buy or pass. They are cute but yeah limiting articulation and the fashions is missing why we loved the brand. And you’re a mind reader for doing a body swap and I will definitely consider rebody if I get any 💖
Not a RH collector, but the sister dolls look so cute together! Also like the idea of a doll hand shaped in a peace sign, but think one hand would be better.

With the limited range of motion, I can see the rubber tops being easier to put on than fabric.

I feel like these are meant to be handed to small children so that they don't play roughly with older sibling or parent's RH collection dolls. The "Can I Play Too?" version that a six year old won't damage and can tote around.
I was thinking that, with articulation definitely becomes easier breaking points for younger children. If budgets reflect it then I never see an issue but it definitely feels like a lot of the time companies can use it as an excuse to downgrade the product and expect the same money.

6 inch dolls are a popular size and clothes would be super easy. Our Generation has some that size, American Girl, Disney, plus there are a ton of patterns both sewing and knitting/crochet for that size. Lots of doll bodies also that can got cheap with articulation. Customizing would be easy.

I think these dolls are quite cute😌 but more articulation and fabric clothing would have been much better, even if it was at a higher price point 🫤 I’m hoping they go on sale by the end of the year so I can decide if they’re worth getting by then to rebody ✨💖😐💖✨

Ah, welcome to the world of Obitsu bodies. :D I call them the Japanese equivalent of Made to Move bodies. :D And the joints are easier on the eyes than the Barbie variants. I do worry about the bodies with rubber torsos - I prefer plastic because I fear over time rubber will tear. But hopefully I'm wrong lol because I have a lot of those. Any chance you could show us a Chelsea head swap on one of those Obitsu bodies? I want to do that but I'd rather see someone else do it first LOL

Toya! You should check out the ICY Zodiac dolls! They have beautiful outfits, amazing articulation and inset eyes! They are a little expensive though, but totally worth the price! Plus the Zodiac one's are around 12 inches tall!

As always Toya, I appreciate your detailed reviews. While these Littles are kinda cute, & I’m sure they are good for young kids, they are a pass for this adult doll collector. I stick with the RH & SH I already have & put my dolly dollars into other dolls instead.

Hey Toya! I remeber you tried to put a zow doll body on an original chelsea, but chelsea was too ta, i wanted to let you know that i was at 5 below the other day and i found one that looked like a good match. i bought it and tested it on my own chelsea and it was a perfect match! hope this help!

There's a way to cut the budget while still meeting the standards of doll consumers!!!! They could have did one piece FABRIC clothes. Get rid of the pet and give them inset eyes. Idk what they were thinking with the poses!!! One body mold would have been fine! The Littles would have been good sellers if they just put more effort into it!

I honestly adore these little dolls! I can't wait till they sell then in my country, because I want to put my hands on Indigo AND! *drums* untangle her hair! I saw someone untangling the Monique from SH braids na dit gave soooo much volume to it.. I am super curious how it will look on the Indigo, because they seem to have a bit less of rooting 🧐 Ofc these are not the same as RH but I do not even compare them. If compare, then only to Chelsea dolls. It's not a doll for adult, it's a doll for the littlest kids. Also I don't mind the clothes, it's removable and it's kinda like a polly pocket (you all loved these in past, so don't complain now 😆) and it makes sense, because little kids not only spill their food everywhere but also try to eat things, so eating details is.. not good for them I think 😅 Overall they're a super cute option, just an option that was made with the littlest kids in mind, not the adult collectors

I *really* wish people who did colour actually learned the colours. Indigo is *not* purple--it's a greenish-blue shade .... but some dumbass developers decided that indigo wasn't a real colour, so they could use that name for purple .... >.
