Just found this video in 2021. Great job Jan for the description in English. I was there in 2016 when you so graciously helped me plan my trip to SAQ from the US for Alexanderson's Day - the day IIRC the King was to be there - but the weird windy weather and funny flash downpour kept him away. I also like the new addition of the digital frequency counter above the switchboard. Very nice addition. Thank you again for the hospitality of the entire staff there at SAQ from the parking lot attendants to the staff inside both buildings! And for others who may travel to Sweden who have interest in Electromechanical systems, this is a MUST see. Plan your entire trip around this site and if you can be there for the operation.
Very impressive guys thanks for showing this. I will be listening for the 2021 transmission at 11:30 GMT on Sunday 4 July receiver is a datong VLF converter into a FT817 transceiver with about 10 feet of wire
Always wonderful to see this station placed on the air ! Nice work ! One thing I noticed in this video was when the camera person was walking around near the antenna tuning network. It was causing RFI to the camera audio. Wow, lots of RF. Amazing.
Thank you again to the SAQ Grimeton team for an excellent 2nd transmission. Also great TV camera operator on RUclips. Strong signal in London using a long wire antenna, VLF converter Herostech HS-400 and Flexradio1500 receiver.
It’s a miracle the place wasn’t scrapped and replaced with a radio the size of an 1980’s TV set. Truly historic piece of machinery that should be preserved for future generations. And to think, the “modern” stock traders are building a huge transmitter for trading in 2023. What’s old is new.
Thank you to SAQ Grimeton team for an excellent first transmission. Received in London, strong signals. Antenna long wire, LF converter Herostech HS-400, Receiver Flexradio1500
Congratulations to the entire SAQ Team. I was very happy to have the opportunity to receive the broadcast on my RHODE & SCHWARZ EK 896. I made recordings for me to put on my radio amateur website. Very gratifying, too bad we don't have this broadcast every day. Hugs and health to all. PY3CEJ - Alencar Aldo Fossá
Well done! 👏 On behalf of the World Heritage Grimeton Foundation we are so happy that we could perform the transmissions desipte the ongoing pandemia. Hopefully this years Alexandorson Day without audinece was a one time occasion and next year we will again be able to invite vistors to this remarkamble and world unique event. 💖
Did you copy them in Brazil? Copied both transmissions well on locations on the Atlantic Ocean in Rhode Island USA. First time I have copied SAQ here in summertime conditions. Thank you to the SAQ staccatos for the excellent live stream videos and narrations of the start up, operating, and shut down operations! Also, you have a very famous last name in Grand Prix auto racing! Are you related to the famous Grand Prix driver Tazio Nuvolari? 73 de Chris AJ1G Stonington CT USA
@@ajfogertyfan8245 Hello, good night, look I managed to hear a little bit of the transmission of the radio SAQ through the SDR (not WEB) but there was a lot, but a lot of QRM, in the second transmission. Tazio Nuvolari is a third degree cousin, but very distant. grateful for the message. 73 by Domingos PU2OEB. Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Good morning from Weekapaug Point RI. Copied SAQ over here at about -95 dBm, readability fairly good in heavy static from about 0845Z through the end of the message transmission at about 0906Z. Received on a Wandell and Goltermann AT-611 Selective Level Meter using a 40 meter bad mobile helical whip antenna
Recorded the entire message on video, should be perfect copy with some post processing filtering to take out some of the static crashes. Will tray for the 1130Z to 1206 Z transmission from Watch Hill Point RI just west of here. 73 de Chris, AJ1G

Magnifique travail de mise en Service et de préservation du patrimoine Radio , en France tout a pratiquement disparu ! Sauf la Tour Eiffel bien Sur !
