I also discovered DOOL (Sami got me hooked) around that time so I had two soap I had my mom record so I can watch after I got out of school. I was the only elementary student talking about soaps. 😂
I am so glad they all agreed to do this for the fans, It just proves that Passions fans still make an impact and the cast hears us. I just wish the CEO or producers of current TV stations or Hulu or Netflix could see and hear how much this show is loved and bring the show back, if thats not possible, then made into a movie to give the fans more closure on the characters lives. Ethan and Theresa should ALWAYS remain together, but this time Luis and Sheridan end up together the way they should have! Miguel and Charity end up together and Chad lives! That when he was shot by Alistair, he didn't die, he lived somehow or it put him in a coma for years but he lived and Whitney and Chad end up happily together. All four couples end up together and happy, a person can dream right?..

Well, one has to realize in retrospect, when NBC cancelled Passions, this was about a year or two before the networks ABC, CBS, and NBC all were cost cutting it's no coincidence around the time Passions was cancelled, a year later CBS and ABC cancelled a bulk of their soap operas, because those type of shows are expensive to produce, mainly if sponsors leave, those types of shows end.
Woo Kim exactly soap operas were made to sell soap for proctor and gamble if passions wasn't bringing in enough viewers then they weren't going to keep paying for its production
Which is why I 100% have been saying what Pilar said since it became 2018 and I realized it's been 10 years since it ended aka the perfect time for a Netflix reboot 😍😍😍
You can just tell that the lady that plays Pilar behind the scenes is like the glue that holds a lot of them together. I’d love to see Grace as a more edgy character (her moments where she cursed Ivy and blasted that serpent thing back into hell were good).
I watched this as a young teen. It always aired while I was in school so I couldn’t watch most episodes. But whenever I was on break, I for sure watched it every weekday. I waited to graduate HS so i can start watching it without missing months of episodes. then it gets cancelled the year i graduate. I think a lot of their viewers were younger, and they wouldve maybe had higher ratings if we all were home to watch it. 😢

In 2017 I went through a near death experience I can'tbelieve they reunited the cast of passions 4 a fan fest in 2017 apparently six months after my accident. I was shocked 2 find out about this event that took place in Hollywood and highland over 3 years ago. The only thing I REMEMBERED on that yearJuly 23 2017 was the shocking death of Chester Benninghton and Chris Cornell's suicide. I was very disappointed and depressed of my near death experience that year.
If I would've knew more about their event that year. I probably wasn't going 2 attend the event but I would've been very very shocked about their reunion right after Chester Benninghton's suicide.
I saw some of the videos of their event. It look like they had some of the original cast members there from the original passions of 99. I believe it took a long time 2 reunite them for this event. Some of this doesn't seem like it was real that year.
