@@Johnnyy832 if your on a server then it depends if the two servers you are willing to transfer off of and transfer to allow creature transfers, if your doing non dedicated (host/local) then you should be able to transfer to a different ark even if that ark has a different tribe and character

Question of the video: Dinos to breed to face Bosses. After 700h+ of kinda goofing around, learning about this game in SP, trying mods which worked or not (QoL or new creatures to keep that thrill of discovery of a new World) I decided to fight and defeat bosses first time in my life. I started on Island and have problem finding good dinos to breed for an army. I don't wanna use admin codes etc, this breaks immersion and adventure vibe. Some maps have just better spawns both in quantity of certain dino and their lvs. and that's it.
Since this is all that ever shows up when I search for uploading dinos, please if someone can answer this QUESTION: When holding E (or whatever you access creature/structure/gather with hand keybind is) there is an option called "upload dino" there. It doesn't make the dino dissappear. But how do you use that? Does that also allow for transfer or is that something else entirely? Oh and btw, can you transfer a dino from a dedicated server to single player?

I voted to go to the center to get the arti (as the one we needed was in the maze n Im not about that life) and I came back with the missing arti. Everything your character does remains after transfer,the character itself will be on the server you transfer too so you would need to transfer it back to Rag.
What's up bud. I only play single player on PC on laptop. I was loading into gen part 2. I keep getting a crash error it won't allow to get on the map. My 140 plus character seems to be trapped. I'm thinking I have to create a whole second player SMH. I wanted to take my 140 plus character to Fjorder or how ever you spell it. Any help or tips on my current dilemma? Thanks. Sadly this didn't help because I used a transmitter and accidently put all my cryopodded gigas and my best items(Tek and ascendent) in the wrong section and it deleted everything. I'm so innoyed ive been grinding for a year

Hey! Thank you very for watching! To answer you questions, yes you can. You can transfer map specific creatures to maps that don't have the creature spawn naturally :)
Because Crystal Isles (its unique dinos/items) are part of the official base game, you can do this like any other built-in creature with Ark. If you were using an unofficial mod, that mod would need to be active on all maps in the cluster for that to work. For example, the Domination Rex mod would need to be active on every map in the cluster.

Yestersay i wanted to make a replikator co i needed 800 polimer, i transferem myself to the "Viking" map and collected aveything what i needed and i sprawn back to my lost Island main base, i was shocked BC my argentavis lv95 still was there standing and i still Got one in a obelisk, now i have 95lv and 96lv argentavis xd BTW 800 organic polimer don work BC it stacks in 20 max and obelisk doesn have enough place for all the ingredients to make replikator. kinda knew all this already but nice video. well, except that you can use loot drops in non-SP because i mostly play SP. I just wish that if you download a character you can spawn at a terminal or obi, just like your tames would. having to make my way over to a terminal legitimately after a random spawn in is a huge pain, ESPECIALLY if i have never been on the map before and i have no clue where to go :P but command-flying over to a terminal also feels like cheating. idk.

Every now and then ..just expect it to happen. If you get disconnected from the server while you're trying to switch to the other server make sure to load the new server, you're trying to go to, next
My server is on my 2nd xbox . It is running a Dedicated server on the island map. So my friends and I can be on it. When you go to the obvious upload character is not there. I only have two Xbox one to play on and one for running the game. We can upload our Dinos and anything we want. Log out and stop the server and restart it on any other map we want, spawn in and create all new characters, go to the obolus and we can download everything that we put in it . But our survivors have started at level one again.. any suggestions?

We are having a bit off an issue witb our cluster server on G-portal, i noticed that you use or used that as well. Everytime we transfer from our home server to another in the cluster our flying dinos get ridiculously high stats while afaik the settings are the same. Do you have an awnser maybe for this problem.

was trying this and my tamed creature couldn't be downloaded into abberation for some reason, it was there but I couldnt click on it. it was just a crappy compy cause I was testing

always make back up. I didnt really crash for me it didnt show me the download survivor screen after i hit upload survivor (and therefore i couldnt see my character when i was trying to download on the map i wanted). so as long as you get that download survivor screen u should be good to go. my first try was from obelisk, but then i used a transmitter which worked.

Probably way too late to be helpful here but I'm pretty sure clusters only apply to servers, on singleplayer you can just freely transfer as long as you're transferring FROM singleplayer to singleplayer, not from a server to singleplayer or vice versa

Yes, so if you play official, you can transfer Dino, items and characters to any of the official maps within that cluster. You can't how ever transfer creations from single player or unofficial to official. You can transfer from single player to unofficially if the owners allow it in the settings
Sorry I missed a bit, if you transfer creatures from one official server and then went to a different server with a different character then they won't be able to see the transfered Dinos by the previous account. Needs to be the same character/clan to see the uploads This doesn't include single player. Only single player all created characters can see whatever is uploaded

Pretty sure as long as it's official you can go back and forth. You can also go back and forth between unofficial and unofficial but never between the two different servers.

Well, anyone have a solution for my issue? I can't transfer items. Everyone else can, but I can't. I pull items over, it loads, shows them for a second and then they disappear. When I drop a new item in, I see all the other stuff but I can't pull it out and it says 0/50 regardless of how much shit I put in. Hey I’m playing on single player and I followed step by step I put my creatures and all my items in the obelisk on the island uploaded my character then went to fjordur to retrieve it all I was able to download my character and I got my creatures but none of my items show up when I return to the island and open the obelisk they’re still inside but they won’t show up on fjordur
I'd say stick with what you got tbh. Or maybe make a new character on fjordor and try to see if they can collect them. Assuming your on console of course. If your on PC maybe rewatch and try again after making a backup file because it like 70% chance to get wiped now tbh. Even if you follow the steps correctly.

You gotta kill a boss for tek engrams and one of the bosses will randomly give u a tek transmitter when defeated.

6:08 you don't need to spam escape. all you have to do is click anywhere on the menu, and then press escape. saved you 2 min of your life

Something I found out about transfering your character, if you click outside the UI area and click esc it works immediatly.

Did you guys have problems with notes ? I explored all notes for Island then on Fjordor after transfer it shows that there are not all notes collected

Rexes are some of the best Dinos to use for boss fights. Get a bunch of rexes and Yutyrannus for a Stat boost, and bam

No, I've had experience and you will obtain the creature no matter what character you are (as long as it the same device/steam account)

Log out and stop the server and restart it on any other map we want, spawn in and create all new characters, go to the obolus and we can download everything that we put in it . But our survivors have started at level one again.. any suggestions?
I transfered some dinos from my ragnarok world to bring over to my island world and they didn't transfer and when I go to get them back on ragnarok it still doesn't show did I do something wrong?
We are having a bit off an issue witb our cluster server on G-portal, i noticed that you use or used that as well. Everytime we transfer from our home server to another in the cluster our flying dinos get ridiculously high stats while afaik the settings are the same. Do you have an awnser maybe for this problem.
Sorry bud, I have never had that issue. It does sound really weird though.

question, if the official server i am playing on doesn't support ark data download does that mean when i go to other server and upload other dino's there and comback i wont be able to get them ?
No, they will need to allow it in the download settings
was trying this and my tamed creature couldn't be downloaded into abberation for some reason, it was there but I couldnt click on it. it was just a crappy compy cause I was testing

Can you transfer from single player to another single player map?? I had tried once but it crashed so I don’t know if I was unlucky or you just can’t.
always make back up. I didnt really crash for me it didnt show me the download survivor screen after i hit upload survivor (and therefore i couldnt see my character when i was trying to download on the map i wanted). so as long as you get that download survivor screen u should be good to go. my first try was from obelisk, but then i used a transmitter which worked.
Hello,, thank you for the great video! I play single-player on the Island and I want to transfer to Valguero which I recently downloaded. If I own 8 DLC's is it considered a cluster in single-player?
Probably way too late to be helpful here but I'm pretty sure clusters only apply to servers, on singleplayer you can just freely transfer as long as you're transferring FROM singleplayer to singleplayer, not from a server to singleplayer or vice versa
im getting frustrated im on xbox dino transfers work but items dont it appears 16/50 in the ark item slot but it doesnt show the items

Yes, so if you play official, you can transfer Dino, items and characters to any of the official maps within that cluster.
You can't how ever transfer creations from single player or unofficial to official.
You can transfer from single player to unofficially if the owners allow it in the settings
Sorry I missed a bit, if you transfer creatures from one official server and then went to a different server with a different character then they won't be able to see the transfered Dinos by the previous account. Needs to be the same character/clan to see the uploads
This doesn't include single player. Only single player all created characters can see whatever is uploaded

Pretty sure as long as it's official you can go back and forth. You can also go back and forth between unofficial and unofficial but never between the two different servers.

You can do it within single player too, you don't need a server to transfer

I'm taking my base lvl 376 with base melee 1500% to my nitrado server ...if there would be a UPLOAD SURVIVOR button in the ob instead of refresh tribute and change server ...through change server i can't go to unofficial pc sessions 😭

I can't transfer items. Everyone else can, but I can't. I pull items over, it loads, shows them for a second and then they disappear. When I drop a new item in, I see all the other stuff but I can't pull it out and it says 0/50 regardless of how much shit I put in. This is so frustrating especially since nothing on the internet has any solution to my problem and apparently I'm the only one who can't transfer...
I tried to make a cluster like this but soon i realised it's bug out i transfer my rock drack fjordur to Ragnarok and then i transfer some items to Ragnarok because i see a 150 giga which i can't find in fjordur i tamed that giga and transfer it back to mine and then when i try to level up giga it's melle not change idk what happened and it got 45 level in it i restart but still that giga bugged now I'm feeling bad and now i will be every map alone not help

This might be a bug on single player. Go through the settings and see if you can find any options for enabling item transferring
hey um so some reason i can't rejoin the server i left from, wich sucks, due to i need to travle between maps to get items i need and go back, i asked in their discord for help but no support at all, anyone here know what to do ? it simply wont let me download my characther back to the same server at all,

Fjordur is too new right now and they're not allowing transfers to the map. You can however, transfer off of fjordur to other maps.
Hey I’m playing on single player and I followed step by step I put my creatures and all my items in the obelisk on the island uploaded my character then went to fjordur to retrieve it all I was able to download my character and I got my creatures but none of my items show up when I return to the island and open the obelisk they’re still inside but they won’t show up on fjordur
I'd say stick with what you got tbh. Or maybe make a new character on fjordor and try to see if they can collect them. Assuming your on console of course. If your on PC maybe rewatch and try again after making a backup file because it like 70% chance to get wiped now tbh. Even if you follow the steps correctly.
