The STS is a step in a good direction. Better now than later, especially with the recent news that the union employees at Deere have gone on strike, used market is going to go sky high as the end of the year approaches.
The EPA has already made the used machinery market skyrocket, they are the main cause. Nobody wants these newer machines with the newer emissions bullshit on them that put out a perfectly running engine over a single cheap Chinese built emissions sensor.

A system was developed in Australia where it is relatively arid all the time to grow food for your cows with hydroponics. They sprout barley for 5 days in a controlled environment and feed the cows the entire thing roots and all. I’ve seen on RUclips a guy from Texas doing a copy of the system for his horses. Supposedly it’s better for the cows and cheaper than shipping in hay. Might be interesting for someone like you with captive test subjects to investigate and run the numbers and economics to see if it might help for other farms under drought conditions. I know you probably don’t need it but it kinda falls under your subject heading since some farms use it, how does it work. If it’s cost effective or worth the value to the cows it might free up hay you can sell to cover the cost and help others. The system from Australia is really slick. It’s a turnkey system built into shipping container type boxes. Either way you might just find it interesting. Wishing you and your family the best.

I had said before…..if you’re going to use a 1300 bu cart in your terrain, you need way more hp in front of it, more than you got…...especially in the conditions you showed. 1300 is for flatlanders, not SW WI
We will restart Texas corn harvest Monday on the last 2 circles. ruclips.net/video/5de2xEI81AQ/видео.html I can get over 2700 bushels per hr. of 16% corn with my STS. It is 9 miles of 70 mph straight to the elevator at Stratford Texas. The elevation climb of 70 ft. about like your field! The 2 trucks will do this hill without a strain.
I'm scared the news might be negative, having to do with the solar farm encroaching or taking land maybe. I truly hope it is something good like a combine, like I'm reading in the comments! Great video, thank you Ryan! :)
