I don't know why, but every once in a while I'll have a night like I'm having tonight, where I'm so anxious about the future that I can't sleep, and I inevitably start listening to melancholy, nostalgic music, which will just make me fall into a bit of a depression for the next few days. I feel like I'm homesick for a place I've never been, and nostalgic for a time I've never known. I just want to get out of this wretched modern age.

I talk to my parents about that but it seems like they can't take it seriously because i can't explain it. This song reminds me of by ex. I loved him with all my heart, but I didn’t really get a lot in return. He never hugged me, nor kisses me. He didn’t really show me off either. That didn’t stop me from giving him my ALL. We broke up a few months ago. He confessed to me that I was just an escapism for what he had been going through. Nothing more then that. It hurt, but I’m healing. I come back to this song every once and awhile to listen to the lyrics. It makes me sad since it takes me back to those years we were together, but I’ll be okay eventually. If you’re reading this and going through something similar/ worse, just know that overtime it’ll get better. It gets worse before it gets better. Edit: I found out he never wanted to be in a relationship with me. He faked it all. It hurts but what's there to mourn if it was never real?
