I actually really like this dude. His attitude and discipline are inspiring. The fact that he's experimenting with all this stuff and sharing what he finds is awesome. Very few people could/would follow this routine day in and day out and it seems to make him happy and healthy. Good on him!
He probably likes the attention. And when you are as old as him it is easier to want to make smart lifestyle choices because you already got the unhealthy party days over with and out of your system. And when you are as rich as him where you don't have to work then hey why not dedicate your life to being as healthy as you could be? But I agree with the attitude, he has a good one. And I like how transparent he is.
It's easy for people to poke fun and see this guy as some crazy scientist, but he's basically using his body as a test subject and improving our knowledge of human health. Its sorta important that people that do have money have interests in something like this (its non-profitable and highly unlikely to succeed), but money invested in research is better than research with no money invested. Honestly, I thought Bryan Johnson was a bit weird and crazy for doing this stuff. But the more I look into him, the more I respect what he is trying to do. He's not explicitly selling anything and providing most if not all of this information for free. We need people like him to push the boundaries of what our bodies are capable of.
He is absolutely selling things and the Information he is giving is the test results of his testing, but these tests are well known and have been done for decades. @@ok-mj4xm My guy, aging is not a disease. It is the natural and inevitable ending of all organic life on this planet. Billions of years of evolution have crafted beings so intelligent and so complex that we can't even dream of recreating something similar. Every organism has a predetermined maximum lifespan for a reason. Decay and entropy are the ways of the world and the only way that the cycle of life can move on. Prolonging the lifespan of the rich and famous only helps bottleneck the natural cycle, contributing to the very real problem of overpopulation that is ruining this world faster than anything. Resources are already scarce, rent is only getting higher, pollution and disease only grows more rampant and dangerous. All this time and effort he's putting into this very clear mental disorder of his could have been invested into research for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other diseases which unjustly shorten the natural lifespan of people. this has been super cool to see! reading about bryan in the news caused me to have some negative preconceptions about him, but after spending a day with him, he seems like a chill and cool dude!
People, mostly in the mainstream have been shitting on Bryan for the amount of stuff he does but what he is doing is next level and brilliant that he is putting out everything he does and why he does it out for free, documenting everything he does along the way. Lots of the stuff he does isn’t as expensive as you’d think, especially the nutrition and supplements +fitness aspects. The majority of that 2 million coming from the comprehensive testing, imaging, and devices like the red light therapies, paying experts+doctors and everything in between.
Agreed, it's also possible all of this stuff could lead to some kind of medical discovery helpful for treating and/or curing things we currently have nothing for, or things we have few options for. Just because that isn't the intent doesn't mean it can't happen by accident, and it's also not like he's charging people money to learn what he's doing.
People shit on him because 90% of it is bullshit. The best advice he gives is eat a lot of vegetables, exercise, and get a good night’s sleep. That’s all you need to do.
@@TraceurRyuk Exactly, ageing occurs because our DNA fail to fully replicate itself consistently, so overtime our body begins to change (for the worse). It probably is possible, but most likely something we won’t be able to achieve.

Because what he is doing is mostly subjective? Because nothing he will ever do will increase human lifespan? There actually isn't any evidence, like ever created, that we can increase human lifespan at the moment. We unfortunately have a maximum, and it's around 105-115.

Just to be clear, its not the exact time that Bryan wakes up that makes his body efficient. It's the fact that his circadian rhythm has adjusted to that time and it has been consistent for years. I always see this in videos that people wake up at 5 am because someone else does, and they complain they don't have the energy they should. Well thats because your body is use to waking up at 9 am and is wholly unaccustomed to that time.
I wake up at 4 am everyday, minus weekends where I wake up at 7 am. I feel like I have surplus energy. You get used to and it helps to be on a dopamine feeding cycle.

I want to see how this routine would affect someone with an autoimmune disease, it'd potentially answer a lot of questions with how the body responded.
All the news outlets I've seen covering Bryan have been all about his routine costing $2M a year but so many of the things he does are free or low cost (fasting, daily exercise, olive oil, vegetables, green tea). I don't have $2M to spend on my longevity, most people don't, but its really encouraging to see that these accessible practices do work well, as shown through his biometric test results
Yeah, you have to consider he has funded lots of studies to know the most effective way to reverse his aging, we dont really need to do that. In fact, just by sticking to the the core things you will get at least 80% of the benefits
The news outlets love their clickbait drama to get clicks and advertising revenue, and they know that almost all of their audience are fat, depressed, and unhealthy. So, they misleadingly present Bryan's "process" as some rich, vampiric/mentally unwell fad that's completely out of reach for the average person that can't spent $2 million a year. That’s the thing tho, so much of aging is just down to personal genetics maybe even gut bacteria so he may look like shit in 15 years but it’ll always be a safe bet that he will look/feel better than if hadn’t done this
Everyone has their own journey which is fair, but he spends so much time trying to expand his live cycle that he forgets the most important thing...living life.
This man is so crazy but I have so much respect for him and what he does. If you think deeply about this, it feels like looking into a whole different planet, different society, it's crazy. It looks like such a distant reality, but it could be OUR reality, it might actually be the future, or at least what hopefully might become... Learning to have such control and power over our bodies and emotions, the whole bedroom thing and his whole mindset around it... It's a new way of existing.

I wake up between 5 to 6 for 5 years now during the week and i still hate it, this is nothing but bullshit.

He's enslaved to the thought of not ageing and dying. Ironically, that's what's causing him to age and die faster. 5% body fat and being hungry all the time with wacky treatments everyday? And he believes that he is not ageing while anyone can tell by looking at his face he is definitely getting old. Poor dude got deluded by a shady company. I have new and different approach for longevity. Somebody asked me, what is the secret of long life, I smiled and said LIFE. Life is like money, the more you have, the more you spend, the more you have, the more you can live.
If we can increase the quantity of life, we can live very very long life. The scientific approach is not effective as it focuses on death not life. If you have life, death is not an issue.

It makes their readers feel good about themselves. The reality is, you can get probably 75% of the results Bryan does by JUST following a similar diet, maximizing your sleep, and not abusing toxic vices like cigarettes/drugs/alcohol/junk food etc
Even my Dad, who is a Doctor and has eaten healthily his whole life read one of these articles and thought Bryan was a weirdo. The news outlets are absolutely brutal and designed to mislead at every opportunity. Hopefully at least a few people who click them realize that even if Bryan has taken it to the extreme, we can all benefit from his research and experience.
@@productivedude6407 exactly! I was thinking it over last night and realised so much of that $2M would go to things like the initial cost and upkeep of the machines to track progress, paying professionals to draw and analyse his bloody, automatic air filtration system, a personal chef to prepare food. This guy isn't going by stuff based on "feelings", he's putting numbers on everything so it can be replicated & tested and referenced.
