As'salam alaikum brother, May Allah (swt) reward you for these reminders. We all could benefit from these. Please reconsider calling Muhammad (saw) our master. Our only master is our Creator.
1. Early to bed early to raise 2. Clean bedsheet 3. Bismikallahumma ahiya wa amoothu 4. Blow and rub with muawidathaini 5. Lights off, utensils closed, doors locked 6. Wake up prayer : alhamdulillah ahiyana bauda ma ammathana wailaihi nushoor
You have made an error. The word 'with' is fine. I prefer the word "in'. The meaning bends a little bit. Just make sure your understanding is in seeking in Allah's protection.
It is ok to call the prophet (Sal Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) our brother, teacher, master (teacher), guide and leader. Hints of these are found in the seerah.

@@zoeyali652 I never put alarms to wake me up during weekends. I also make sure to spend less time in bed if I am not actually sleeping there. So I would work on my desk and be productive and by the end of the day I would feel sleepy and head to bed. Make sure to - eat an hour or two before sleeping - go to the bathroom - be comfortable and stop using your phone 30MINS before heading to bed - if you can’t sleep after laying in bed for a while get up and make hot milk or something warm to drink I hope you get the sleep you need!

Guyz i wanted to tell u about my experience yesterday and also have some doubts regarding that ... if u could help me solve my doubts then i would be grateful for that . So now here is the story Yesterday we moved to the second floor after renovating my home .... i slept alone with the lights on as i was somwhat afraid ... i usually sleep in dark in my old room ... bt yesterday somehow it made me to leave my lights on .... so before going to sleep i asked ALLAH to wake me up for fajr and also if he could plz make me wake up for thahejud also and i should be feeling extremely fresh and all drowsiness should be leaving before i proceed to pray my thahejud( this was my dua to Allah )... so i slept peacefully throughout the night until my phone started to ring the alarm ... i thought it was 5.15 am time for fajr .. i dissmised the alarm without looking at the alarm and thought to sleep for 5 more minutes ... bt suddenly i heard something walking near to me from the right and i didnt dare to open my eyes and turned to my left side and pretend to be asleep ... bt suddenly i saw a figure rushing to my window and beating it ... bt she couldnt open or break the window and in frustration she sits down facing me with cross legged ... and was staring at me ... her eyes had dark circles with all hair left loosly falling like a ghost ... so i somehow found the courage and was asking her who she is ... and i am practically trying to recite ayatul qursi bt instead of ayatul qursi i was reading some other surah due to fear ... bt still she didnt went away ....i started moving near to her and finally i got the ayatul qursi in my mind and read loudly and she dissappeared and it made me open my eyes .... for a while i was so nervous and i wanted to call my mom who is sleeping next door bt thought she wont wake up and didnt try to call her .... then i thought it might be a punishment from Allah to wake me up for fajr ... so i just checked my phone and to my horror it was only 4.15... i was quite confused and while i was thinking i heard water splashing sound from downstairs i was so nervous and opened my door thinking whether my brothers or mom went downstairs ... bt to my horror everyone were deep asleep ... i thought to wake up my mom and ask her did she went downstairs and she said no ... i donn know whats happening ... while i was writing this my door was creaking and opening in between it scared the shit out of me because i closed my door tightly shut .... Guys such an incident happened to me after a long time i used to be afraid of such nightmares when i was a kid bt aftr that i wont get worked up like what happened yesterday ... it was so surreal .. i actually thought to keep this with myslf bt due to some reason i get the feeling that ghost is near me and watxhing me so thats why i wrote this... i used to see nightmares of ghost bt i wasnt scared like this today even if i woke up from my nightmare i would still be trying to think about the ghost and would be sleeping peacefully ... bt yesterdays situation made me freak out and am constantly on the verge of being scared each time my door creaks ... it only happens when i started writing this thing ... it opens and closes by itself ... My doubt is 1. I slept yesterday facing my head to qiblah ... is there any problem with that ? I saw some videos saying facing our head to north brings evil spirit and ghost and i dont want to believe in myths ... so guyz pllzz help me out ... 😭😭😭😭😭 2. Here that brother told us if we see any nightmare turn to our left and spit ... bt i woke up from the left side ... so what should i do ??? Waiting for some one helping me out ... 😥😥😥😥😥
Shaytaan is always trying to get me with yawning....he’s persistent. Especially when i am trying to do my salaat. It’s frustrating, but i always try to stifle it the best i can.
*Sunnah way of sleeping:* 1. Blowing into the cupped palms and reciting the three mu‘awwidhaat [soorahs seeking refuge with Allah, the last three soorahs of the Qur’an] 👉Narrated 'Aisha: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times. Bukhaari (5017) ruclips.net/video/tw1nqzm5CRY/видео.html 2. Reciting "Ayat-al-Kursi" If you recite this then Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.' Bukhari (2311) ruclips.net/video/7Pg67sND5gc/видео.html 3. Reciting Last two verses of Surah Baqrah: 👉Narrated Abu Masud Al-Badri: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "It is sufficient for one to recite the last two Verses of Surat-al-Baqara at night." Bukhari (4008) ruclips.net/video/gato308GfvQ/видео.html 4. Reciting these Dua: 👉Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to go to bed, he would recite: "Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya (With Your name, O Allah, I die and I live)." بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا 👉When he woke up from his sleep, he would say: "Al-hamdu lil-lahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana; wa ilaihi an-nushur (All the Praises are for Allah Who has made us alive after He made us die (sleep) and unto Him is the Resurrection)." 5. Do these Dhikr of Allah: 👉Recite “Subhaan Allah” thirty-three times, “al-hamdulillah” thirty-three times, and “Allahu akbar” thirty-four times. Sahih Bukhari (5362) (1)سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ(2)والْحَمْدُ للَّهِ(3)وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَر Glory is to Allah. Praise is to Allah.Allah is the Most Great. 6. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "When you want to go to bed, perform ablution as you do for prayer, then lie down on your right side and say: اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لاَ مَلْجَأَ وَلاَ مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلاَّ إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ. O Allah, I submit myself to You, I turn my face to You, I delegate my affairs to You and I rely totally on You, out of fear and hope of You. There is no refuge or sanctuary from You except in You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent. If you should die then (after reciting this) you will die on the religion of Islam (i.e., as a Muslim).” Bukhari (6311) 7. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, When anyone of you go to bed, he should shake out his bed with the inside of his waist sheet, for he does not know what has come on to it after him, and then he should say: “Bismika Rabbi Wada`tu Janbi wa bika arfa'uhu, In amsakta nafsi farhamha wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi ibadakas-salihin." بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ In Your name, my Lord, I lie down, and in Your name I rise. If You should take my soul then have mercy on it, and if You should return my soul then protect it as You protect Your righteous slaves. Bukhari (6320) 8. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to go to sleep, he put his right hand under his cheek and would then say three times: “Allahumma qini ‘adhaabaka yawma tab’ath ‘ibaadaka” اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ O Allah, guard me from Thy punishment on the day when Thou raisest up Thy servants. Abi Dawud (5045) 9. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said when you go to bed, say: “Al-hamdu Lillaah alladhi at’amanaa wa saqaanaa wa kafaanaa wa aawanaa fakam mimman laa kaafi lahu wa laa mu’wi” الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَكَفَانَا وَآوَانَا فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لاَ كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلاَ مُئْوِيَ " Praise be to Allah, Who fed us and gave us to drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them. Muslim (2715) 10. It was narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar that he instructed a man, when he went to his bed, to say: “Allahumma khalaqta nafsi wa anta tawaffaaha, laka mamaatuha wa mahyaaha. In ahyaytaha fahfazha wa in amattaha faghfir laha. Its death and its life are in Your hand. If You cause it to live then protect it and if You cause it to die then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to keep me safe and sound. Muslim (2712) 11. When any one of you intends to go to sleep, he should lie on the bed on his right side and then say: “Allahumma Rabb as-samawaati wa Rabb al-ard wa Rabb al-‘arsh il-‘azeem, Rabbaanaa wa Rabba kulli shay’in, Faaliq al-habb wa’l-nawa wa munzil at-Tawraati wa’l-Injeeli wa’l-Furqaan, a‘oodhu bika min sharri kulli shay’in anta aakhidhun bi naasiyatihi. Can someone please tell me how many hours of sleep is most optimal? I would like you, my brothers and sisters, to keep in mind that I am very physically active person and also a diligent engineering student.

6 to 7 hours of sleep is enough for the body to regain energy. However, the prophet (SWS) and his companions used to stand in prayer half the night or sometimes the whole night, and yet they would function normally during the daytime. I believe Allah will surely bless the body which stays up for worship at night. This doesn't mean you do it every night haha, maintain a balance of course. The prophet (SWS) also used to take a nap in the afternoon period, and its sunnah to do so, I guess that makes up for the time you stay awake at night for worship. This is my personal opinion and Allah knows best.
Why don't you turn the lights on and follow the Sunnah and put your trust and reliance on Allah when you go to sleep? Are you expecting the clown from the film "It" to come from underneath your bed? Follow the advice of the shaykh and you'll be fine insha'Allah.

Ohh so beautiful recitation of the holy Quran
Alhamdulillah, so convincing preaching
As'salam alaikum brother, May Allah (swt) reward you for these reminders. We all could benefit from these. Please reconsider calling Muhammad (saw) our master. Our only master is our Creator.
Jazakallah Khair

like this so that it maybe know and fixed this is a big mistake
You have made an error. The word 'with' is fine. I prefer the word "in'. The meaning bends a little bit. Just make sure your understanding is in seeking in Allah's protection.

Is there is any issue of direction (like North West etc) which direction we should keep our head
jazak-Allah khair.
Is it right for the brother to say Muhammad is the master?
i think he means teacher
mzzzaa aaa or messenger.
It is ok to call the prophet (Sal Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) our brother, teacher, master (teacher), guide and leader. Hints of these are found in the seerah.
Our Prophet is nothing more than our beloved Prophet who we respect him a lot, but he is never our Master.
Thanks for the reminder!
JazakAllah brother

Somthing else about sleep. It is beneficial to sleep in the state of wudu, ablution.
may Allah swt bless
Salaam,
Please can you clarify when you refer to Muhammad (peace be upon him) as "master" to avoid any confusion.
AMAN master means the respected one who teaches a good things to you.
Yea idk bout that. I seek more knowledge because we are told to in the Quran. But I never heard anyone call our prophet pbuh. Master?
Master as leadership of the ummah
AMAN ...I am sure by master he means a leader who is guiding us by his actions.. not a master we are praying to if that’s what you have in mind.
The prophet prohibited his companions from calling him sayyidina, instead he said that he is only the slave and the messenger of Allah.
Great work guys, very informative

@@zoeyali652 I never put alarms to wake me up during weekends. I also make sure to spend less time in bed if I am not actually sleeping there. So I would work on my desk and be productive and by the end of the day I would feel sleepy and head to bed.
Make sure to
- eat an hour or two before sleeping
- go to the bathroom
- be comfortable and stop using your phone 30MINS before heading to bed
- if you can’t sleep after laying in bed for a while get up and make hot milk or something warm to drink

SUBHANALLAH
Guyz i wanted to tell u about my experience yesterday and also have some doubts regarding that ... if u could help me solve my doubts then i would be grateful for that . So now here is the story
Yesterday we moved to the second floor after renovating my home .... i slept alone with the lights on as i was somwhat afraid ... i usually sleep in dark in my old room ... bt yesterday somehow it made me to leave my lights on .... so before going to sleep i asked ALLAH to wake me up for fajr and also if he could plz make me wake up for thahejud also and i should be feeling extremely fresh and all drowsiness should be leaving before i proceed to pray my thahejud( this was my dua to Allah )... so i slept peacefully throughout the night until my phone started to ring the alarm ... i thought it was 5.15 am time for fajr .. i dissmised the alarm without looking at the alarm and thought to sleep for 5 more minutes ... bt suddenly i heard something walking near to me from the right and i didnt dare to open my eyes and turned to my left side and pretend to be asleep ... bt suddenly i saw a figure rushing to my window and beating it ... bt she couldnt open or break the window and in frustration she sits down facing me with cross legged ... and was staring at me ... her eyes had dark circles with all hair left loosly falling like a ghost ... so i somehow found the courage and was asking her who she is ... and i am practically trying to recite ayatul qursi bt instead of ayatul qursi i was reading some other surah due to fear ... bt still she didnt went away ....i started moving near to her and finally i got the ayatul qursi in my mind and read loudly and she dissappeared and it made me open my eyes ....
for a while i was so nervous and i wanted to call my mom who is sleeping next door bt thought she wont wake up and didnt try to call her .... then i thought it might be a punishment from Allah to wake me up for fajr ... so i just checked my phone and to my horror it was only 4.15... i was quite confused and while i was thinking i heard water splashing sound from downstairs i was so nervous and opened my door thinking whether my brothers or mom went downstairs ... bt to my horror everyone were deep asleep ... i thought to wake up my mom and ask her did she went downstairs and she said no ... i donn know whats happening ... while i was writing this my door was creaking and opening in between it scared the shit out of me because i closed my door tightly shut ....
My doubt is
1. I slept yesterday facing my head to qiblah ... is there any problem with that ? I saw some videos saying facing our head to north brings evil spirit and ghost and i dont want to believe in myths ... so guyz pllzz help me out ... 😭😭😭😭😭
2. Here that brother told us if we see any nightmare turn to our left and spit ... bt i woke up from the left side ... so what should i do ???
Waiting for some one helping me out ... 😥😥😥😥😥

*Sunnah way of sleeping:*
1. Blowing into the cupped palms and reciting the three mu‘awwidhaat [soorahs seeking refuge with Allah, the last three soorahs of the Qur’an]
👉Narrated 'Aisha: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

3. Reciting Last two verses of Surah Baqrah:
👉Narrated Abu Masud Al-Badri:

4. Reciting these Dua:
👉Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to go to bed, he would recite: "Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya (With Your name, O Allah, I die and I live)."

👉When he woke up from his sleep, he would say: "Al-hamdu lil-lahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana; wa ilaihi an-nushur (All the Praises are for Allah Who has made us alive after He made us die (sleep) and unto Him is the Resurrection)." Bukhari (6324)

6. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said,
"When you want to go to bed, perform ablution as you do for prayer, then lie down on your right side and say:
O Allah, I submit myself to You, I turn my face to You, I delegate my affairs to You and I rely totally on You, out of fear and hope of You. There is no refuge or sanctuary from You except in You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.
If you should die then (after reciting this) you will die on the religion of Islam (i.e., as a Muslim).”
Bukhari (6311)
7. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, When anyone of you go to bed, he should shake out his bed with the inside of his waist sheet, for he does not know what has come on to it after him, and then he should say:
“Bismika Rabbi Wada`tu Janbi wa bika arfa'uhu, In amsakta nafsi farhamha wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi ibadakas-salihin."
In Your name, my Lord, I lie down, and in Your name I rise. If You should take my soul then have mercy on it, and if You should return my soul then protect it as You protect Your righteous slaves.
Bukhari (6320)
8. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to go to sleep, he put his right hand under his cheek and would then say three times:
“Allahumma qini ‘adhaabaka yawma tab’ath ‘ibaadaka”
O Allah, guard me from Thy punishment on the day when Thou raisest up Thy servants.
Abi Dawud (5045)
9. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said when you go to bed, say:
“Al-hamdu Lillaah alladhi at’amanaa wa saqaanaa wa kafaanaa wa aawanaa fakam mimman laa kaafi lahu wa laa mu’wi”

O Allah, You have created my soul and it is for You to take it in death. Its death and its life are in Your hand. If You cause it to live then protect it and if You cause it to die then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to keep me safe and sound.
Muslim (2712)
11. When any one of you intends to go to sleep, he should lie on the bed on his right side and then say:

You are the Manifest (al-Zaahir) and there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden (al-Baatin) and there is nothing beyond You. Settle our debt and spare us from poverty
Muslim (2713)

Assalamualaykum. What was the supplication before sleeping? Jazaka'allah khair.
Allahuma Bismika amutu wa ahya
I always sleep with the lamp on.. The dark is slightly scary ngl
Why don't you turn the lights on and follow the Sunnah and put your trust and reliance on Allah when you go to sleep? Are you expecting the clown from the film "It" to come from underneath your bed? Follow the advice of the shaykh and you'll be fine insha'Allah.
Not everyone can be brave it's hard I used to be like him so stop being so tough
trust me sleeping in the dark is way better.
Shouldn't u read surah mulk as well before you go to sleep
It is not madatory(some do not know it) but if you can it is better. That surah helps proptect you from the grave
