compared to most 3 piece speakers for PC, 8 inch is pretty big. THere's plenty of examples of 3-piece with a 3-4 inch "subwoofer". On those typical systems "subwoofer" is the wrong term, but shared woofer, while more accurate, doesn't sound as good in marketing materials. Most people who enjoy good sound can agree that 8 inch is about the minimum size for a subwoofer.
Most high end speakers are made with mdf. Not the lower grade particle board. It is more acoustically inert than natural woods. Some may put a real wood veneer on top for appearance purposes.
Right. 8 inch is about the minimum size for a subwoofer. Anything smaller than 8 inch is just the marketing team adding the term subwoofer because it sells better.
And that’s literally almost 10x the price.. this set was $398 … your Klipsch 12 inch sub alone is like $2.5k. They’re not even competing in the same market. That’s like 2 tiers above in terms of price range.
Just bought these speakers for about $220 in Sweden. Sounds ridiculously good for it's price. If you want better sound from your tv other than the built in speakers, this must be the most bang for you bucks.
@@ronnedal I just put together a full 5.2 set up with Elak in the front and Klipsch in the back for $230 including a recent AVR. Buying used is the better than buying cheap new stuff
Compared to most 3-piece PC speaker systems with 3-5 inch "subwoofers". I hate marketing teams that use the term subwoofer for those tiny things, shared woofer is much better. 8 inch is the minimum size for a subwoofer.
Tbh it’s very competitive at this price range. Brands like Klipsch is about 5 times more expensive and prob only marginally better. This can do 70%-80% of what a klipsch can do at 1/5 of the price. I’d say that’s a good deal for the average person.
I actually got them this week and they're decent. I've definitely had better but for the price and the fact that it's just a 2.1 setup, they are above average in the mid range price point.
"Massive" 8 inch subwoofer. 😐😐😐 bro is sponsored

Good desktop speakers, but there's better room speakers, and desktop.

You can buy a full stereo or surround setup for that price
I doubt it. But please show me such a system.
