He was my High School QB coach in So Cal (his first coaching job I believe). It’s great to see how far he’s come.

@@harvo5788 he seemed cool. But it was only one season, 25 years ago and his first job. So there was no way to know how good of a coach he could be. Plus honestly I didn’t hear much from him because he mainly talked to the QBs and offense. Though I played on the Defense and since our head coach’s expertise was defense, that’s who I mostly interacted with.

As a Georgia fan, how could you not like Sark? A great personality, and a great person. I don’t think Steve or anybody could ever envisioned that Texas would probably be one of the only schools in America, That has the money and support to be able to buy players in a open buy players market. Essentially Steve Sarkisian can, See what players are doing well on other teams and there’s ways to offer those players money and they’re gonna leave other elite teams, such as Georgia and Alabama. I believe the days of teams like Georgia and Alabama being elite are going to slowly road and we’re starting to see that. No offense, but these programs do not have the money of schools like Texas.
I also know that Steve has to be licking his chops seeing all of the deficiencies that Georgia has right now. He hit the nail on the Had when he started talking about depth and talent. Ga Contrary to belief does not have near the depth and talent it once had. As discipline and great of a coaches, Kirby, as you can’t win games, unless you have the horses. Steve probably has 8-10 better players at key positions it’s gonna win this game. NIL has really destroyed Ga football, and its only going to get worse.
37/42 - 23/27 type Texas win. I love my dogs, but we look as bad as I’ve seen them looking at with Kirby outside of his first year

Diehard Texas fan and I gotta say you guys legitimately scare me. I just feel as if you guys have equal if not better talent all over and I just don’t think we can measure just how hungry the dawgs will be but I have a feeling they’re going to be out to prove a point and I have a feeling we’re about to get put to the test.

I can’t lie when he was hired I was a little hesitant as a fan because he had some shortcomings as s hc before at UW and SC. In hindsight those failures made him a better coach for Texas, but most importantly it was his sobriety. As someone who is and addict myself I have tremendous respect for him and how he has taken control of his life again and is thriving, and is open and forthcoming with what he has been through in life. I think Texas got a special one and in todays world of offense offense offense, getting arguably the top offensive mind in college football will pay dividends for Texas as long as he’s the HC, and I see him being at Texas at least another 12-15 years easy, assuming everything goes good on the field and they keep winning but I think it’s clear that is going to continue to happen. They are recruiting great which isn’t new for Texas but most importantly Sark and his staff have really developed the kids on this team, latest example this year is a guy like Vernon broughtin. He didn’t start til this year, although he played a good amount the last 2 years but this year they way he is playing will get him all sec honors and probably drafted in the 3-4 round. Alfred o looks, another d lineman is s big example of this too. AC started some games but this year he is unsoundly the starting d tackle and he was s 5 star so the talent was always there, size too he’s s freak, but the consistency was his issues but he’s playing more than ever now and he’s played himself into getting drafted and when he goes to the combine and these gm’s see his size (6’5”, 320) and athleticism at that size he’s gonna go 3/4th round too and possibly higher. It almost feels fake seeing Texas with a number 1 next to their name, cuz even darks first season stuff was still very bleak for him but he trusted himself and what they were doing ti build the program and look now, really good shot to win big this year but he’s out them into position where Texas chance of staying good with Sark at HC, regardless of coordinators which they will eventually loose but having kept almost the entire staff the same is so big, cuz under Herman and strong ti s certain degree it was new coaches each year. I think the OC and DC however will be at Texas as long as they want to be bc I don’t see flood taking another HC job, he has young kids and probably wants stability in their lives in addition to being able to get good recruits year in and year out in his own state and him and sark seem to have a very good relationship. Pete K seems like a career dc guy, I don’t see him having HC aspirations.
