Luz Noceda is a Dominican-American teenager from Gravesfield, Connecticut, who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to another world instead of going to a juvenile detention summer camp. Arriving on an archipelago known as the Boiling Islands, formed from the remains of a dead Titan, she befriends rebellious witch Eda Clawthorne (aka "The Owl Lady") and her adorable roommate, the demon King. Despite having no magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch, serving as Eda's apprentice at Owl House, and eventually finds a new family in an unlikely setting.
The second season, which directly follows the events of the first season's finale, follows the main protagonists working together to return Luz to the Human Realm, help Eda face her curse, and seek the truth about King's past, as they battle the tyrannical Emperor Belos and his minions while planning the Day of Unity to unite the human and demon realms and, thus, destroy all witches forever.
In the final specials, set a couple of months after the second season, Luz and her friends are out to save the Boiling Isles from the evil Belos and the chaotic Collector.

The second Hunter mentioned the time Amity stomped on King's cupcake before she turned her life around (thanks to Luz's support), and she had the red glare in her eyes, my first thought was: "It was at this moment, he knew, he f^#$ed up"
Hunter: "at least i didn't stomp on King's cupcake"

unpopular theory: she's had depression since her fathers death, so it drives her to consistantly do good things to keep the voices out. it makes her happy and feel better, but makes her an emotional glass cannon.

(also, you forgot to mention that Vee unfairly condemned Luz for running away without knowing why Luz ran away to the Boiling Isles in the first place.)

Amity was an abuse victim too. She may have not physically, But she definitely did mentally. And that hurts almost as much as physical. (From experience)

but amity getting a pass isn't necessary in being mentioned as she admitted guilt, rather than denying it. this makes the pass moot, as she admits them as her own decisions. and i thought it was neglect specifically, not direct abuse. (and gaslighting i guess.)
The Willow one is kinda wrong, Luz agreed to be Willows abomination as long as Willow took her around the school… So it isn’t really true 🤷♀️

I mean… yeah it was Luz’s idea, but at the same time, Willow could have just said no, and she would have had a better idea than Luz of the risks involved.

It's been almost two years since I have been back on the Boiling Isles. Since then, I have been happy to be reunited with my new friends, but unknown to me, I later began building a unique friendship with Willow, whom I met also through Luz. Willow and I enjoy being with each other. It's almost like we were made for each other in friendship, which it felt kinda cute. But why did Willow want me why did her fathers want me to be a part of the family, well I soon found out that I was gentle and caring to Willow, since then I decided to move in with her, Gilbert and Harvey liked me and treated me as one of their own as a human son. Then I knew Willow had a suprise for me, she wanted me to be a part of the Emerald Entrails Flyer Derby team, I accepted the offer and since then with help from my trusted bat palisman Batsby and staff Willow began training me hard, and we've been getting along just fine

Amity was self-aware about everything which is admirable. What throws me off is why did she need to bring up the bonesborough brawl championship belt? I know this isn't canon, but why.
When that was when Luz finally showed her vulnerability after what happened.
I'm sorry, but it's selfish to tell me that you can get upset over a library card and get expelled but you being reminded of your deceased father when Amity at LEAST had one was so unfair for her behavior. Luz should've said something, but she didn't want her to worry about it because it was about Amity's father relationship.

literally that's the point. she knows she did bad, and was sick of them acting like they were saints, when they did bad stuff too. all they did was shit on her for like, the whole argument. she didn't even say she was better. you need better situational awareness. sure, they weren't in good situations, but they still DID those actions. it's a reason, not an excuse, and nobody gets to get off scott free.

This comic doesn't respect its source material, in my opinion.
I've seen the series, and i can say that these characters wouldn't have a conversation such as this.
This panel insults the depth of the characters by having them talk to each other in this unrealistic fashion.

@@terra249594372, well, I get your point, but I'm not saying it's an odd behaviour generally speaking, I'm saying that these characters in particular are written wrong, their dialogue in this comic is written wrong.
It's a manufactured situation that wouldn't happen in the series given their personalities and their backgrounds. Does what I'm saying make sense?
@@terra249594372,you're right, teens are impulsive and over-their-heads, but in the context of the story, they deal with many problems and situations which are mature and adult in nature, (Hunter, at some point, seems to face the kind of PTSD which affects soldiers who survived violent wars).
So my point is, yes, they're still children, but they are depicted being forced to grow up prematurely because of the tone of their lives, and it's tackled seriously in the original show (quite seriously, at least).
In this comic, I feel like the author tried to write a serious conversation, but missed the point. Unpopular opinion, maybe.
I thought the same about another comic the maker of this comic did when it seemed like Luz and Camila semi-learned fuck all.
