  • In this video I show you all of the steps to make a silver bar. I show the entire process with no step skipped. If you are wanting to get into silver pouring then this is the video for you! I have been making silver bars for a while now and the process that I use is as follows:
    1. Melt the silver with electric furnace
    2. Heat graphite mold with map gas torch
    3. Blow flame continuously over the mold
    4. Pour silver into graphite mold
    5. Quench silver in water
    6. place first logo stamp on silver bar
    7. tumble silver in rock tumbler with stainless steel shot and shinebright solution for 1 hour
    8. Stamp remaining stamps on back of silver bar
    9. Enjoy Silver Bar for years to come!
I hope this video can help someone to be able to make their own silver bars. Because I show the entire process of how to make a hand poured silver bar this video is longer than my normal videos. I do have other videos showing how to pour silver bars, but in them I do not show the all of the steps. This is a complete video showing literally every step of the way on how to make a silver bar. I do make silver bars and sell them so if you want me to make one for you or if you want more information on how to make your own silver bars then shoot me and email or check out my website. Thank You!

Just found your channel and thanks for all the great videos. Do you normally use already produced rounds to melt or buy silver shot to melt. Seems like buying the rounds might be cheaper unless I am just looking in the wrong places online. Most of the silver places want $20+ per oz for just raw silver shot. thx!

Very nice bars, machine, and video. Yes I would never take officially stamped coins and melt them. I remember buying silver ounce bars back in the 1990s for $2.5O ea when spot was only $4 bucks toz., But .900 silver Morgan and Peace dollars because of numesmatic value still cost me at least $8 bucks each. Bars or rounds are not coins and only worth what spot is. Now this machine is perfect for melting down unmarked silver or the 3 Troy lbs of silver contacts that I have recovered. Hopefully he didn't melt and 1996 silver eagles they value $65 bucks ea

All them little bubbles on your bar is called "outgassing". Outgassing happens when there is too much oxygen/gas trapped in the metal as it freezes(hardens). To avoid outgassing, turn your torch off right before the pour.

As I am in middle of building a micro mint from scratch. (On s shoestring budget)...I understand the process fully.
But I still watch all the videos put out by you (and other private mints) to learn whatever I can.
Example*... Mint " B" and Mint "C" follow same essential process...but one production area resembles a big "clean room" ...And other production area looks more like a classic foundry.
Also...One is more automated at start of process... While other is more automated at the end.
    But result is same....beautiful coins.

Silver Dragon, are you up for a trade, I really like the idea of trading bars with others, I am new at smelting silver, I am not not new to collecting Silver. I am currently waiting for my design stamp to come in. Thanks for thinking about it.
