- In this video I show you all of the steps to make a silver bar. I show the entire process with no step skipped. If you are wanting to get into silver pouring then this is the video for you! I have been making silver bars for a while now and the process that I use is as follows:
1. Melt the silver with electric furnace
2. Heat graphite mold with map gas torch
3. Blow flame continuously over the mold
4. Pour silver into graphite mold
5. Quench silver in water
6. place first logo stamp on silver bar
7. tumble silver in rock tumbler with stainless steel shot and shinebright solution for 1 hour
8. Stamp remaining stamps on back of silver bar
9. Enjoy Silver Bar for years to come!
I hope this video can help someone to be able to make their own silver bars. Because I show the entire process of how to make a hand poured silver bar this video is longer than my normal videos. I do have other videos showing how to pour silver bars, but in them I do not show the all of the steps. This is a complete video showing literally every step of the way on how to make a silver bar. I do make silver bars and sell them so if you want me to make one for you or if you want more information on how to make your own silver bars then shoot me and email or check out my website. Thank You!

They can. It's called sign language.
I thought ricky bobby was making this video!
The hands killed me. Awesome content but just give the hands their own channel and stick to pouring and teaching. 🍻
Love it my friend, especially since there is a video associated with my bar. Can’t wait to get it.

I love the 'hand talking' !!
I hate it.
Sweet! Now i know the process. Knowledge is power. Thanks brother. One question... Do you have a set of letter stamps? A thru Z? I do have a reason for asking ; )

Silver Mac Thanks a lot Mac!!! 🔥🐉
Nice job brother. Good of you to share the steps
Coin Sense And Nonsense absolutely thanks for watching!!! 🔥🐉
Just found your channel and thanks for all the great videos. Do you normally use already produced rounds to melt or buy silver shot to melt. Seems like buying the rounds might be cheaper unless I am just looking in the wrong places online. Most of the silver places want $20+ per oz for just raw silver shot. thx!
So you start out with 3 nice one ounce silver rounds and then melt them and come out with 2.18 ounces of silver ? are you nuts?
He said he had more silver in there already and was going to make more stuff...he used the 'leftover' silver for something else...
How do you sell them after making them? This is super cool! Thank you for making this!
I really want to do this, I just need to get the furnace and like everything else, and a bit of spare time would be nice
That looks awesome.
Great video! Great looking bars!
Finders Keepers Thanks a lot many more to come! 🔥🐉
So, noob questions--if you're melting coins that are 90% silver what happens to the 10 % that isn't silver? How do you determine the purity?
where do you sell these
Is it possible to just melt the silver in the mold to make your bar instead of melting and then ?pouring it
That's cool thanks mate 👍
How much did your silver pouring set up cost you silver dragons? Where would I start in purchasing equipment?
Thanks 👍🏼
Great video my friend thanks so much buddie loved the video
Ronnie King jr Thank you so much!!! 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 your very welcome my friend
When and why would you use borax?
Thanks
Great video bro
Awesome,New Subscriber 🤩🙏👍
Where do you acquire the stamp for the silver bar?
Was that an illumiati symbol at 1:02 ??
Where do you get a custom stamp for stamping?
Damn those where perfectly good ASE! Lol
Great video! May I ask where you get your stamps?
Wicked really nice
Great video, you got me intrigued to start pouring my own...do you know where I can get a custom punch made for my logo?
Silver Hammer that’s awesome! I got mine from a shop off etsy... just search custom steel stamp... also there are lots on ebay 👍🏽🔥🐉
Nice Swap!!
Backyard Scrapping Thanks a lot would love to do a trade with you as well!! 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 sounds good we will get together after Christmas OK
Backyard Scrapping perfect sounds awesome!!! 🔥🐉
this is pretty crazy
its hard to believe that he actually put those coins there and melted them down. this is literally crazy I was thinking he would put some old silver junk there
Very nice bars, machine, and video. Yes I would never take officially stamped coins and melt them. I remember buying silver ounce bars back in the 1990s for $2.5O ea when spot was only $4 bucks toz., But .900 silver Morgan and Peace dollars because of numesmatic value still cost me at least $8 bucks each. Bars or rounds are not coins and only worth what spot is. Now this machine is perfect for melting down unmarked silver or the 3 Troy lbs of silver contacts that I have recovered. Hopefully he didn't melt and 1996 silver eagles they value $65 bucks ea
How much for the furnace and mold?
Nice job Bud
Montez Family Six Thank you so much my friend!! 🔥🐉
What would you say you have invested in pour equipment? Has p[ouring turned a profit for you?
Darth Stacker honestly I have thousands into it... it’s not a huge money maker but I do make a small profit. the time I put into it pretty much makes it less than min wage 😂🤷🏽♂️🔥🐉
What mm size is your dragon stamp? and what size font do you use for your text stamps?
William McInarnay 1/2 inch and it’s generic font 🤷🏽♂️ harbor freight 🔥🐉
Why didn’t coinman 5000 state the material on the bar?
So you lose about 0.5 ozt during the casting process? 😥
holy hand movements
Why wouldn't you just buy silver shot off Apmex vs using rounds? Just a question? But besides that great video!!
Brian Carpio I do that now... from my local refiner 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 oh yea that makes sense, probably less expensive than Apmex too!
Hello. Where do you buy the molds? I want to make Dinosaur pours. Or, do you make Dinosaurs?
Matt Bunke I buy my molds on ebay 🔥🐉
First thing.....
Was that a damn nail? 😂
2nd thing.
Who makes your non-nail type punches? 👍
I spent most of my career building axles, and always kinda wanted my own punch.
Ever try any Gold?
I have a very small amount of dust I have thought about turning into something I can pick up.
Dont ask yes it’s a nail. I still use it. the other stamps I got from harbor freight. never done gold! 🔥🐉
Nice looking bar for Coinman 5000👍
#HAPPYBIRTHLAKEHOUSEBEACH
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU 🎄
👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🐉👌👍
David Carlisle for sure and Merry Christmas to you as well David! 🔥🐉
0:00 what's up with that hand symbol?
🤝📈
Nice pour I like watch Big Stacks channel he gets dome nice molds and melts everything on his channel then drinks a beer lol
Who ever told you that you need constant hand movements on camera was lying to you.
I was gonna says the hands thing is super annoying but guess everyone in the comments already got that covered
F
First! Like usually!!! Happy holidays!!!!
Alex Coin Roll Hunter you got it!!! 🔥🐉
Alex Coin Roll Hunter Merry Christmas!! 🔥🐉
I don't know what to do with my hands.
Music so loud
Lol I do believe that is called an ingot sir not a bar 😂
So silver baggins became a silver dragons because LOTR’s lawyers sent a threatening cease and desist letter?
I vaguely remembered this drama. Is there a video on it?
Can you melt constitutional silver too and make it 999 fine?
I know this video is old, but I wanted to say I think this is such a great idea and I hope it’s really common, swapping bars with other people so you can have their unique bars in your collection, and yours in theirs, without having to outright buy one, just swap with eachother. I love it.
I was explaining it to someone yesterday.
All them little bubbles on your bar is called "outgassing". Outgassing happens when there is too much oxygen/gas trapped in the metal as it freezes(hardens). To avoid outgassing, turn your torch off right before the pour.
$490 total to start melting, stamping, rock tumbler, stainless steel pieces/cleaner for tumbler, gloves, butane torch, adapter, and canisters. All from ebay. I want to start making bars Silver baggins. Tyvm for this video! Subscribed 4 life
Ok, I'm hooked! I thought silver stacking was fun. This looks way more fun.!
Baaaaaagiiiiins....are you trying to TEMPT ME to get into POURING?!? Not gonna happen. Nope. Never. Never EVER! 😏👌🏼
Yankee Stacking lol don’t do it... it’s not fun at all 😂😂😂🔥🐉
Too much waving of the hands
Can you recommend a good custom stamp manufacturer ?
Couldn't imagine throwing eagles in a furnace nowadays.
I'm getting caught up on all your latest videos Baggins, I'm behind! Love the Chipmunk mode! You stamping in fast forward kinda sounds like a machine gun hehehe!!!!
Eddies Little Stack it’s all good yeah I love it as well! 😂😂😂🔥🐉
If you wanted the back of the bar smooth, how would you do that?
Thenha.d movments are really annoying Gordon Ramsey... constructive criticism pal STOP ✋
Do you end up losing any silver when you melt your coins into other coins or bars? Or do you get exactly out what you put in?
He lost 4/5 oz
So I gotta wonder. Isn’t it better to keep the silver in coin form? It seems easier to trade.
Classic! Had to start learning... why not with one of the best!!?
Have you worked with bismuth?
Good video.
As I am in middle of building a micro mint from scratch. (On s shoestring budget)...I understand the process fully.
But I still watch all the videos put out by you (and other private mints) to learn whatever I can.
Example*... Mint " B" and Mint "C" follow same essential process...but one production area resembles a big "clean room" ...And other production area looks more like a classic foundry.
Also...One is more automated at start of process... While other is more automated at the end.
But result is same....beautiful coins.
What's up with the weird arm and hand movements?!??!
Brian Johnson that’s how I did videos back then 🤷🏽♂️🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 Hmmm...OK
Great vid, very informative.. where did you buy the stamps???
Coyote Wacker I buy them from stampyours.com now
Very cool!! I need to get into this stuff. Retired and need something to keep out of the wife's hair! Lol
Silver dragons how can I turn .900 purity of silver into .999? Will melting will dispose of imperfection?
Seems counterproductive to use allready fine silver pieces and coins.
Dumb question of the day. While watching Forged in Fire they quench their metal in oil. Would the effect on silver be the same and harden the metal?
Silver Baggins? Haha so why we need more than we aim to strike? Is there a loss?
Hello buddy, doing my first melt today 666g of 9999 silver shot in a new crucible...do I need borax ? How much and at what stage do you add it ?
Best wishes ❤
You breath very hard and heavy. Seems like a lot of work to put silver into an oven. Relax man. Enjoy it, doesn't need to be a rush
Have you ever tried stamping before quenching? Just a softer tap, off center?
I love how silver Baggins is using his old wallet he got for Christmas to stamp silver on😂
I would do it different , I would make the bar out of wax and stamp the wax then I would invest it , burn it out and cast it , I was a jewler for many years.
This to me makes no sense. Why take perfectly good coins and melt them down? I can se melting down old silver spoons or old jewelry, but not coins, just me saying.
The hand gestures are sort of annoying, need to calm down with it. No need to wave your hands Everytime you walk...
Only problem is you just melted coins. I.E. it isn't refined.
Isn’t melting US Currency a federal offense?
FK assshaa ho.... dms very very smart genius guy
if this had no audio, someone could still understand with the sign language, sheesh
Dear Silver Dragon
You are very generous in teaching how to do magic and get our bars.
That does not anyone, revel their manufacturing secrets.
Than you in truth, I appreciate your generosity.
From México I greet you
Eduardo López you are welcome my friend! 🔥🐉
Silver Dragon, are you up for a trade, I really like the idea of trading bars with others, I am new at smelting silver, I am not not new to collecting Silver. I am currently waiting for my design stamp to come in. Thanks for thinking about it.
