I actually just completed deadlocked now. I watched this video when I was younger, before I even unlocked deadlock, and thought it was insane. And I still do. Now that I’m watching this video again, I just can’t believe I did this myself.

tips on beating deadlocked (as someone who beaten deadlocked w/ all 3 coins):
I'm going to divide the level into 9 segments:
1 (beggining): start-before the wave
2: wave part-end of ship
3: ball part-end of mini UFO
4: cube-end of miniball
5: the brick part (end of miniball-before 6)
6: the fire part ("i like this part :)"-end of UFO
7: the scary wave
8: the memory ship-end of UFO
9 (end): the ending
let's start at section 1. So it's pretty easy you just jump at the right moments and press the orbs that are not markes X, it's really not that hard once you practice.
2 is actually pretty hard, so it might seem impossible but all you would wanna do is PRACTICE. my tips on this one would be to learn how to straight fly a wave, it's actually not as hard as it seems, it's much easier than a ship which has gravity. it's just to press and release at a very consistent rate, besides deadlocked this is really helpful in ANY level that has wave. But you can't really fly 100% straight, and will drift away, so instead of just blindly pressing you would probably want to look at the screen and *adjust* your wave so it stays in the center, if it goes a bit to low hold more the next time. If it goes too up then hold less (of course the reverse when you're in the yellow gravity portal). It seems very hard (especially on high speeds like deadlocked) but once you learn it correctly you're going to do it subconsciously without even thinking.
Now the ship part is MUCH MUCH easier than the wave it seems really confusing but it's VERY easy, just remember where to fly up and where to fly down. Again, once you learn this you're going to subconscious do it too. The key is also helpful to guide you (if you get it, it even unlocks the first coin at segment 5!).
4. Once that ends you get onto the ball, which is even EASIER! All you need to do is to avoid the red parts and press all the orbs, there is one hidden drop there but all you need to do is to avoid the red.
Then you get onto the UFO part, it's a bit harder but definitely not as hard as the wave. What I did is remember how many times to jump each time, its not that hard once you do it once or twice, the higher the pillar is the more you jump and so on, of course keep in mind the portals!
Onto the 4th section!
So the cube is pretty hard, the timings are a bit narrow with little room with mistakes. Just practice and press the orbs on the bottom.
The robot is also a bit hard and sometimes even I fail, just remember how long to jump and don't get tricked by the level! not much advice to be given.
And the miniball is probably the easiest part of the level! A big mistake to make is to buffer the green orb. Make sure to press it a bit late otherwise you'll clip onto the top-left spikes!
Oh, if you don't know what buffering is it's pressing and holding BEFORE you reach the orb and it'll jumo on the orb really early, makes the game overall easier but just don't do it here!
5th segment's coin is only reachable after you get the key at the ship part with those spiky monsters, so don't be confused here! So the hard part is the memory blue orb/pad section. First of all make sure to press the top/last orb, then use all orbs except the one that's a pad, jump over it! you can also just hold from the previous one. After you jump over the pad and go into the portal, press 2 orbs then jump over the other pad, it's going to direct you intto the hidden spikes. The just press the last orb. It's really easy once you remember though!
You then go into the 2nd robot, if you DON'T jump after the triple orb you get a semi-alternative path with the coin, other than that watch out for the invisible spikes after the coin!
6 is pretty annoying. There are definitely some tricks to use to make it easier
so after you're finished with the first 2 straight-fly mini sections, tap JUST A BIT in the portals between 2 and 3, JUST before the actual portal. It's going to make you fly up a bit which helps a lot. Also prepare for the mini!
UFO now, okay make sure to jump right at the start so you dont die immediately, ither than that this section is easy. Just stay in between the lasers, also there is a coin if you jump a certain way, so that's all the coins now.
7. This part is the hardest part in the whole level. My big advice is to only focus on ONE wave, because if you lose focus you're going to adjust in the opposite way causing you to crash. And also try your best to maintain consistency in your straight fly!
In the first miniwave part, DON'T SPAM! it's usually going to kill you. DO spam in the last part though!
8. Okay, we're almost there!
It's not really that hard once you learn where to go. Again, it's all going to cone out subconsciously, what i reccomend doing is either using practice mode or search "deadlocked memory ship" or "deadlocked ship" or something similar and practice there. the only tip here is to make sure to SLOWLY fall down when those cubes turn red, and watch out for the mini/upside down portals! They mess you up quite a bit.
If you've got here the ball part should be really easy, just practice a bit it's not hard
The UFO's tips are to remember whether to go up or down,
in the first section: up,up,down,up
second: up,down,up,up,down
9. This is finally the end. It's a pretty easy section and if you've got through all the other sections this should be a breeze! Just look out for the last spike, if you died there that would be quite frustrating.
And you're done! I finished deadlocked on 1690 attempts. and an extra ~100 to get the coins. The level gets much easier once you beat it at least once.
So uh, yeah, idk how to end this lol
