The fact that he forgot that iroh did it with the help of sozin's comet
That fire ball was more powerful than the first one do to sozins comet
If you've actually watched the series when iroh broke the gate down it was with the help of a powerful comet, that gives firebenders extraordinary powers once every 100 years!
He had to work out in jail and wait for the comet to do that
He was able to make a bigger fire ball to knock down the date because the sozin comet was present at the time
You got to remember he was being fueled by sozins comet
He also got in shape in prison and had the heat of the comet helping him so kinda different fireball but yeah I’m sure he kind of held back
It’s almost like iroh was a retired war general at this time and then by the end of the series was powered by some sort of comet or something after working out in his prison cell to return to the great soldier he once was. but nah that’s crazy, how could that happen?
Iroh never even in the beginning tried to capture the avatar he knew his younger brother would lead the fire nation to destruction but without zuko learning restraint n becoming fire lord he knew the avatar was one of the most needed things in this time knowing somewhat the fire planned to do again he knew he'd have to help and trick zuko into respecting the avatar as much as he did no
Iroh made such a powerfull fire ball because of the Eclipse that power up every firebender.
Canonically Iroh and the white lotus worked to hinder the fire
Don’t forget that the fire ball was powered by sozin’s ☄️
He forgot why iron got soo powerful. It's because of the comet
He was able two destroy the wall because of Sozin's comet and also Iroh wouldn't kill the avatar because he's good man
2nd fireball was at the day of Sozin's comet when the firebenders powers get amplified
That fireball was during sozins comet so it enhanced his strength
And his bending
First of all Iroh had the power of Sozin’s Comet Secondly Iroh never wanted to Capture the Avatar
Zuko really trying to shift the blame onto Aang😅
He did not want to kill him he wanted to let him free so Zuko becomes a better person so he was holding back his full power
To be fair iron was getting a stat boost from the coment
tell me you havent watched avatar without telling me you havent watched avatar
When Iroh attacked the gates of bazingze the come was active, but still yes
When he broke through the wall was the day of sozins comet
Chad Iroh real Mastermind 😂
Still hard to believe this guy was one of Strongest Fire Bender to ever exist he was true heir to The throne.
Thinking of it back this man could have have taken out Ozai at point but choose not to just for the worlds progression
Could be of several reasons. One of them I want to point is the combination. Iroh needs to match his strength with Zuko to do the fire combo.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but this is the only time in the show where Iroh attacks the gaang, and he only did it because Zuko asked him to in the moment. Every other instance, they’re on the same side. Against Azula and the Dai Li in the crystal caves beneath Ba Sing Se, against Azula at the end of the episode “The Chase”, against Zhao after he killed the Moon Spirit, and during Sozin’s Comet in Ba Sing Se. Iroh knew that Aang was too far to attack effectively anyway, but to say that he knew Aang would blow the blast into the glacier causing the boat to be stuck under the ice is quite a bit far fetched, considering it could’ve sunken the boat and left Iroh, Zuko, and the crew to all die in the frigid water.
To be fair on the fireball, he also got more powerful from the comet
