...both Jean-Baptiste and Olivier Latry are extraordinary organists, my favourites for sure. I heard a recording of Jean play Bach's Toccata, Adagio & Fugue in C maj uploaded on RUclips about 10 years ago. It changed my direction from piano to organ. Thank you RUclips and Jean-Baptiste, we are all so lucky!
Always wonderful to hear the grandeur of a Cavaille-Colle organ.
The romantic disposition of this very performing instument is very good for Bach's pieces too. Great Dupont and exceptional Cavaillè Coll organ with the mechanical transmission!!
Thank you for this play, comrade.
This piece cannot be played without a deep appreciation and love for all Bach music.
Thanks!
Superb interpretation! I love the pleno sound of this organ with the Passacaglia
Of the many interpretations of this magnificent piece of music, in my opinion, this interpretation on such an historic instrument stands out. Food for the soul. Which I was there.
That is wish I was there.
It is a great delight and privilege to hear and observe your performance from far-off Australia. Thank you.
Excellent playing, thanks!
M. Dupont's is about the most powerful and straight-forward performance of this piece as I have ever heard. He performs with great authority on a magnificent instrument. My compliments to a consummate artist.
Magnifique!
Magnifique ?
Non... Superbe...

Amazing interpretation, that organ sounds SO powerful...
A brilliant performance in every way, Thankyou
Always love hearing this instrument played by someone who knows it so well. Wonderful registrations. The constantly changing camera perspectives make it hard to watch - so I just close my eyes and enjoy.
You dont understand how much i enyoy this wonderful performance!!!❤❤❤ Thank you so much!!!🙏🙏🙏
And to think some say that Cavaille-Coll instruments cannot play Bach! I think you have proved those critics wrong.
Beautiful playing, and I love how much variety in registration you achieved even without changing manuals very often.
that is one monster of an organ, amazing performance!
Hello mr Baptiste! I am an expert listener..I cannot play myself..but I know exactley how it should sound like.
And your way to play is the best I ever heard!!! Absolutley fantastic!! Just the way I want it in every aspect!! Thank you so much for the perfect performance!!🤗🙏🙏🙏
Bravo, Jean-Baptiste! This is a wonderful performance. 🙏💛
Mindblowing. Bravo Jean-Baptiste, standing applause! What a magnificient master piece and what a performance!
Outstanding performance the shear power of that organ and those pedal reeds gives me chills every note brilliant interpertation thank you for all your videos
Bellissima interpretazione e registri fantastici.
Forse la migliore mai ascoltata.
COMPLIMENTI
Monsieur...such a masterful performance on a great Cavaille-Coll masterpiece. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning performance!!
Good stuff
When Johann Sebastian Bach himself tells "good stuff", well... it means that's really good stuff ! ;-)
Ooooh!
Marvelous !!
Wonderfully perfect performance..
I deeply enjoyed your performance.
I am a church organist in Korea.
thank you for sharing this, ey6307. GOD bless you!
une des meilleures version on youtube
The recorded sound is exceptional as St Sernin is a massive space.
Bravo!!! This is about the tempo I envisage Bach playing it at. And a tracker, this is tough. Many thanks for sharing!!
Fantastic, M. Dupont!
Awesome. Great perfomance
Thanks!
I got spoiled with this piece at E. Powers Biggs Back at Zwolle rendition and this one also nails it for me. I call this Bach's sad one, yet it has both majesty and joy hidden it it. It strikes me as Renfield's version of this is life! Great job!
It was a real privelage to hear you play this! Thank you!
Insane. Who would put three video ads in the middle of a performance like this?? 😠
Use adblock!
I only had one, and it was disgusting. Throwing ads into 3-minute pop stuff is understandable, doing it in 15 minutes of real music is quite another.
Evil capitalism

MERCI !!
Wow! I'm stunned. Excellent performance--thanks so much for sharing your talent!
fantastic, love the sound of this organ.
Excellente performance; bravo!!!!
Beautiful performance, thank you!
Absolutely breathtaking.. Masterfully played; WELLDONE!
Absolutley faanatastic!!! Thank you my King!!!
Magnificent. But what else would one expect from this pairing!
I was waiting for this! Magnificent!
Excellent tempo and registration!!!!
Really enjoyed your presentation.
Wunderschön!!!!!!
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland
Merci
Love this bold interpretation!🔥💪
Complimenti, bravissimo!
Fantastické! Díky!
Brilliant.
Great interpretation. I think this and the Martin Sander version are superb.
Interprétation magnifique
Bellísimo, muchas gracias.
The person is very talented!!!
All the German organ purists I know told me that Bach would sound muddy on a French romantic organ. This sounds pretty articulate to me
Wonderful !!!
Full Organ Mode (That is all the Stops, Ranks, & Couplers turned on) being used? It sounds suitable for this piece.
GREAT!!
Merveille ✨
Wow :) Ekstra played ;)
"travel to martyrdom"
Hi Matt, how about playing the complete Passacaglia in c-minor BWV 582? Then would you like to play some Vierne? I bet his "Hymne au Soleil" from the 24 Pièces de Fantaisie would sound great on that organ. 🙌
Guau! , Bellísimo muchas gracias.
Very interesting how the Keys that correspond to the Pedals move when the couplers are activated so that people can see what's going on more clearly. On Digital Organs it would get cooler if all the keys & pedals had light that glow when they were hit, this way when the couplers were activated people can see what's going on in Full Organ Mode (all Stops & Couplers). Here's the same Piece on a Harpsichord:ruclips.net/video/p01w8MpOkxM/видео.html played by E Power Biggs.
Awesome
There's also a Carillon bell set which I believe would add a little bit of shimmer.
Which carillon ?
@@JeanBaptisteDupont The Stops that say "Carillon" on them. A Stop Tour of this organ would never hurt cause each stop does something different, & Full Organ mode is suitable for almost every piece.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 It is not a bell set but pipes. You can find a (partial) Stop tour where you can ear it here : ruclips.net/video/vlvWqZgdtyU/видео.html
@@JeanBaptisteDupont A complete stop tour would rock & I think this piece BWV 582 sounds even better if all the stops are pulled out & all the couplers are activated.
@@JeanBaptisteDupont It's actually Pipes that sound like Ringing Bells.
Not bad, but this piece should be played a bit faster.
I think that speed is perfect to my ears.
@@WolfieNamira Indeed it is :-)
