That was by far the best ever explanation of steppers I have seen, I have tried to explain it to my son several times, but this did the trick. Well done, thank you sir!
Perfect demonstration of stepper motor principle. It took me quite some time to understand stepper motors, now with this video it would be much easier to understand=)
Best video on the concept. I am going to build this for my son's school project. he is in 6 th grade. Thank you for your upload. Simple and the best way to explain a complicate principle of stepper motor. I liked your video.
You can use anything you have or can find. I just used things I had around. The main thing is not to use too much current and overheat the wire. An AA size battery is plenty.
Probably not. There are a lot of videos on RUclips that show how NEMA motors work. Now that you know the basics, they will make sense, assuming they actually do make sense.
@@ClaytonDarwin ok thank you I saw some other videos but found out there are actual American companies that make these tired of China making all the cnc machines. And basically everything pretty much sucking us dry.
Sure. Search eBay for "camera stepper". Or search for stepper and sort low to high. See my other vids on linear actuators and robotic arms (small steppers).
MASSIVELY underrated channel. Hats off to you, sir. I will binge watch your videos for the forthcoming future!
Glad you like them. 👍
Yolo swag, I second that sentiment!

The idea of using a compass to demonstrate stepping motor principles is very clever .Congratulations!!
Thanks

Cool. Thanks for taking time to say that.

You must be one of the best teachers
Thank you.
CD... really enjoyed this video. Hope you had a Merry Christmas
Right on, bro.
so when you gonna do part two? Very good explanation of stepper motors but the viewers a practical application Sergeant Darwin!
thats a really cool idea to use the compas. This should be used in schools to better show how it works.
👍
So cool!
thank you for that! great video!
Great explanation! However I was very curious about how it would react to in-between states (such as A:1, B:1, A':0, B':0)
@@ae_unal Look up half stepping. It creates a half power intermediate step. Also look up micro stepping.
Kindly tell me apparatus and which copper wire you used and which type of buttons are the used

"What's up switches" This video needs a like 😂
Great, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this video beautifully explained i have just put this video link to my video and 10 second screen shot .. my wishes for your chnnel
Thank u for the explanation would u make a video of you creating a real life stepper motor like a nema 17 type that be awesome to see how to create:)

Any suggestions one where to get that tiny motor?
Sure. Search eBay for "camera stepper". Or search for stepper and sort low to high. See my other vids on linear actuators and robotic arms (small steppers).
could i take that camera stepper motor and turn it into a rotary engine? like spin forever as long as its receiving current?
You can make it step forever as long as you can send state changes.
thanks
Great video
But you had 30 minutes why didnt you show half step?
It took just seconds
It’s from the micro stepper motor to the really huge smooth stepper motor
